Praise for Emerging Real Estate Markets "In this book, you'll discover how to snatch real estate opportunities at low prices, before their value becomes common knowledge. Buy all the copies on the bookshelf before your competitor does!" ― Frank McKinney , "The Maverick Daredevil Real Estate Entrepreneur" and author of Frank McKinney's Maverick Approach to Real Estate Success "I've never seen another real estate book even come close to laying out a profit road map the way this one does. If your local economy is too hot or too cold, Lindahl's guide will show you how to invest in the up-and-coming markets with the greatest profit potential." ― Stacy Kellams , President, www.RealEstateCourseReviews.com "Lindahl shows you how to look into the future and see where the next hot real estate markets will be. It's the closest thing I've found to a real estate crystal ball." ― Jeff Adams , President, www.FreeRealEstateMentoring.com "The brilliant thing about this book is Lindahl's approach to investing by 'remote control.' He has a real-world system for living in one place and making money from investments in another." ― William Bronchick , attorney and coauthor of Flipping Properties "In the crowded field of real estate gurus, Lindahl stands head-and-shoulders above the rest. This book is must reading for any serious investor―beginner or veteran." ― Justin Ford , author of Seeds of Wealth and Main Street Millionaire
There are some nuggets of information in here but is largely the same book as Multi Family Millions. This book shares very little information on how to spot "emerging markets" and talks mostly about re-positioning apartment buildings. Found the title to be very misleading and repetitive.
Only the first few chapters are applicable to emerging real estate markets, the rest of the book is general real estate investing advice, and advice on investing in multifamily. While there's nothing wrong with that per se, it's really just watered down content repackaged from Dave's "Multifamily Millions". I'd recommend that book as a much more comprehensive dive into multifamily real estate.
I only rate this two stars as really only the first 1/3 of the book deals with the subject matter on the cover. I recognize that the publisher likely wanted him to pad it out to make it a 'proper length' book, but it ends up diluting the content. There are more thorough books on real estate investing and better deep dives on multifamily. The section on emerging markets provides interesting food for thought, but it doesn't require a 300 page book.
The content on finding emerging markets was far shorter than I had expected (being that the book bears that name). The content about finding, fixing, analyzing - the standard overview for beginning investors (very similar to many of the real estate books I've read) - was most of the book. But his nuggets of insight about the topics were wonderful.
While I would have loved another 100 pages just on determining market cycle and growth, this book was fantastic. It's pages drip with color from my highlighting.
Lindahl can't give us all the information we need. He does have classes and other books to sell, after all. This book gives you pieces and points you in the correct direction. But it is set up to sell his other products.
This book is a great wavetop look at investing. He hits on a lot of the basics for starting out. Gets into the weeds briefly and then plugs his website in for a money grab. Great motivational book with valuable analysis but redirects information just when it's getting good
I follow David lindahl and have listened to his webinars. Some good meat on real estate investing. More theory on specific part of apartment building investing . I liked it a lot, would like more
