The Fearless Diner: Travel Tips and Wisdom for Eating Around the World

Rate this book
Travelers' Love & Romance will be released in January 1998 -- just in time for setting up displays for Valentine's Day in February. To help promote this title, along with the rest of our Travelers' Tales titles, we've put together a special program to help drive customers to your stores. It is similar to the Frequent Buyer Program for our technical books where booksellers participate by purchasing a minimum quandty of books and we list your store in a flyer sent to our customer list. Customers purchase any ten O'Reilly titles, send us their receipts along with a completed Frequent Buyer Card, and receive a free book. The Travelers' Tales promotion is the same except instead of a free book, they'll receive a free Travelers' Tales Armchair Adventure T-shirt.

This book combines three of my favorite subjects: travel, food, and cooking. How could I not love it? While I consider myself fairly adventurous when trying new foods, some of the ones listed I would have to pass on -- especially the blood soup or the yak butter tea. (if only there were a green emoticon)

I also enjoyed the stories of the writer's various travels and learning about the customs of other countries. I borrowed this from the library and it gets my highest honor -- I must buy this for my personal collection.

I learned you can't say "I'm stuffed" in Australia, due to its strong sexual connotation, along with lots of other interesting facts.
