This topic might be a little funny to some people. Really, a book is going to talk about reading? The thing is, people don’t read enough these days. We are addicted to our smartphones and computers. We watch youtube and read memes instead of books. There are a lot of benefits to reading, and this book will go over them. It will remind you why reading is so important and give stories of people who succeeded due to reading.

This book has a lot of action plans and activities which you can apply to your life. They are easy to do and implement into your daily life. Every chapter ends with one (sometimes two) activities to help keep you in check and recall what you read in the chapter. Reading great books is amazing, but applying them to your everyday life is even more beneficial. What good is knowledge without application of it into your life? Arnold Glasow once said “An idea not coupled with an action will never get bigger than the brain cell it occupied”. It is important to learn but it is even more important to take that extra step and apply it to your everyday life. The action plans and activities in this book will help you in doing that.

People don’t like failing. It makes people feel bad. Which makes sense because we want to be successful. If we put effort into something, we want it to succeed and do amazing. I mean, who wants something they worked hard at to fail? However, it is important to be able to know how to take failure and accept it. More important, it is very crucial to understand why you failed and to learn from it for the future. Winston Churchill once “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” It’s true…because success (whatever your definition of it is) is not permanent. Life goes up and down. If you don’t lose your enthusiasm, your drive, your persistence, then you will be okay. This book teaches you how to take negativity at full force. It also teaches you to have a positive mindset, and why a positive mindset is important to success in life.

Character is vital to your success in life. John Wooden once “Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” These words are very true. The only thing that stays with you forever is your character. You will lose people in your life. You will lose things of monetary value in your life. The only thing that stays with you until you die is your character. It is something that you need to take seriously and learn more about. This book delves into several aspects of character, including how to improve your character.
