Just in time for the 10th anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy's, return to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in this interactive novel in which YOU decide what happens!
Dive into an interactive retelling of one of the most popular FNAF stories, and the basis for an all-new video game "Into the Pit"! You the reader are Oswald, and after using the ball pit at Jeff's Pizza to travel back in time to 1985, you've brought a sadistic animatronic back into the present. Can you escape? Or will it be game over for you and your friends? With over 25 different possible endings and two difficulty settings, this one-of-a-kind, innovative novel is a uniquely entertaining experience for any Freddy fan.
Scott Cawthon is an American independent video game developer, animator, and writer, best known for his creation of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
This was an interactive novel, and that was very interesting - especially on kindle. It was a choose your own adventure type w/ links to the next part of the story depending on what you chose. I liked it. It was great. I loved being able to choose-somewhat- instead of shouting at the book for the character to not be so dumb! There was one glitch in here where the link didn’t lead me to the correct part of the story happening next, though, so after a few more tries of working my way around that; I just read the entire book.
Since I had gone through it quite a few times and tried different outcomes… it wasn’t confusing. I could match the pieces of the story(stories) together.
This one was creepy and dealt with Jeff’s pizza, some very creepy elements and the “yellow rabbit”. If you have read the original trilogy you will get it.

So return to the pit it’s Terrible it’s just a rehash of the novella story from fazbears frights but with choose your own adventure Type stuff the books isn’t even that bad it’s just lazy and bad don’t read this book just read the one form fazbears frights
Finished it in one day, it was an amazing experience to read, I love playing FNaF games and it felt like I was playing a game, I kept imagining the whole areas and designs and actually forgot it was a book at one point. I read into the pit awhile ago as in 3-4 years ago and this was a great retake on it, not as good but it introduces its own parts that are really unique, I loved the digital setting that Oswald finds himself in and how he has to save the kids or go in the other route trying to get your dad back. They portray the rabbits death exactly as I remember and kept that as disturbing as it used to be! Solid 9.5/10 This is a perfect book for the modern generation as it really at lots of times only takes like 45-1 hour and 30 minutes.

Great interactive novel. Feels very Goosebumps inspired in the best of ways. It also reminded me of the old Animorphs choose your own adventure novels. Extremely nostalgic but with a fresh and interesting story.
it was a fun little adventure. too many Game Over endings that finish with poor Oswald being roadkill to really be a "over twenty blah blah endings" selling point, but the few ending endings were either incredibly sad (things left unfinished) or fulfilling.
I like how you had to go back to complete the secret ending, and in my personal interpretation, I like to think of it as a happy little metaphorical retcon-closure ending for the universe in which FNAF really finished with the third game.
you can choose to give the five missing children (including a girl with curly hair, potentially old fandom favorite female Cassidy) cake to free their souls from the evil yellow rabbit. If you do, little Oswald time travels home from 1985 back to the modern day. he learns from the news back then an attempted murderer's plot is foiled and the five missing children are never killed. Bravo! they are saved.
as somebody who is a BV-cassidy Afton believer, I like to think that this book was my chance to put the pre-retcon children to rest. they never have to die at all, they are safe from the murders and the lore of the future games and the evil that occurs. they don't have to suffer through it, they're free of it all. the pain is for future games or different characters. for this reason, I liked it. goodbye MCI Cassidy, I loved you and care for you and enjoy the fact you never die and get to live. with any other view on the book related to lore, I cry and die so I suppose this is a massive poetic cope.

This book seemed more like a poorly written book by a clueless elementary schooler than something created by Scott Cawthon. It's a lousy choose-your-own-adventure version of the Into The Pit book, which was much better and actually made sense. I actually laughed out loud at some parts because they were so irrational. For example, there's a part where your friend texts you, and if you don't text him back you get into an argument with your dad and you never talk to him again - the end. What? It was mind-boggling how gullible and impractical the characters were. Like, why did the main character get into a dusty, run-down, roped-off, abandoned ball pit in a near-empty pizza place? I think this book should be an example of how foolish and clueless children are. I started reading it for comic relief after I found out how many dumb ways to die there were. At one part, you apparently tried to outrun a CAR and got run over? I lost a few brain cells reading this...
I enjoyed this! The book blurb says that there are over 25 endings, I found 30. I don't know if there is more but that's where I think I am gonna call it.
This was such a fun book. I bought it and started reading it pretty much immediately, I thought it was going to be a cute gift for my brother who is way more into FNAF than I am but I wound up reading it and finding the cool lore pieces, of course I'll wait to see how much I got right when the next Game Theory comes out.
The only pitfall of this book is that it's a rehash of into the pit, which is it's own book..novella, and it's own game so some of the endings aren't all that surprising because we've previously played it and/or read it. Otherwise it's pretty fun and I came up with cute names for each of the endings I found.
Always love a good do your own adventure book! While I love the Into the Pit story in general I do not believe it needed a 4th iteration of it. Let’s put this story to rest it’s good but it’s being over done now, it’s isn’t adding anything all that new or interesting that wasn’t in other versions imo. All in all I still loved the story (like usual) and look forward to more of these.
into the pit is one of my top 5 fazbear frights stories so i may be biased, but this book was a very fun experience and truly a love letter to the story itself and the fans as well. not the most lore heavy, i’d say the night before has way more of that aspect, but in terms of quality it was a very fun read and i’ll definitely be doing it again to try new paths.
Really good! At first, I was really frustrated and couldn’t get over page 79. I got the ending where the rabbit mascot - (forgot the name) hung himself and Oswald and his dad went home. Took me a day to finish! Would I read and replay? Probably, I want to see how many different endings there are to receive.

It was okay, but I'd rather just play the video game or read the original story. A lot of the endings were kind of stupid, and none of them scared me like the game can manage to. It was a still a pretty fun read though, and a lot of the randomness that comes with most FNAF books was found in here which was nice.
That was an absolutly wild ride that I cannot recommend more to FNAF fans. It is so much more than Into the Pit again. I made a note on just about every page, so fun and so much food for thought with this one.
I don’t actually know if I properly finished this book… but I got stuck in a hell loop that I am too exhausted for right now. Overall the idea is still so awesome and I really enjoy the into the pit storyline, plus… I think there is never truly a finished when it comes to these
I loved the interactive element of this! Although I wish it wasn't another rehash of "Into the Pit". I was also a little confused of the difference between easy mode and normal mode? But maybe that's just me. Either way, it kept me entertained while I've been sick in bed all day!
I really enjoy Choose Your Own Adventure books, and this installment in the FNAF series didn't disappoint (much). I knocked off a star for one of the pathways arbitrarily sending you back all the way to the start of the story, whereas the similar branches only went to the last "checkpoint", so to speak. Otherwise, this was a great time.
Return to the Pit е много добре получила се книга-игра, а всяка от сцените с Жълтия заек, особено, когато той изплува в нашия свят и заема мястото на баща ти, са култови.
