I loved this book. It is one of those rare books full of life lessons. It is one I will pick up and read again, and definitely one that I will recommend to family and friends. Thank you, Heather, for sharing so many important, beautiful parts of your life.
Reads like an extended sacrament meeting talk or school assignment (prompt: please relate 2 Peter 1:5-8 to your work as a criminal defense attorney) but, like, a good one. And the book is more than worth it for reading stories of how the penal system actually works.
The author of this book is a friend and a very good attorney. I enjoyed the book very much. The connection between her faith and criminal law brought great insight and showed her faith and compassion that I know she has in abundance.
The author's experiences in her legal career provide ample opportunities to learn and practice principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was uplifted by the lessons she shared and fell empowered to do better in complex situations in my own life.
