A short story set in the Second Iteration universe.
The warship Richmond has accidentally released a new life form on Jan Costa's space station. Now Costa must find the creature and resolve a potentially dangerous situation. As he and his crew search, it becomes clear to them that they have not been told all of the truth. What they seek is not quite what they were told to find.
I am a writer living in the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest, to which I relocated from my childhood home in Illinois. I have a B.S. in plant biology from the University of Arizona, and have in the past worked as a laboratory technician for that institution. Most recently I worked for Steward Observatory, as an inventory coordinator. Among other things, I am also a student of history, natural history, astronomy, and backyard horticulture.
This is the second short I have read from this author and he did not disappoint. The pace, the action, the characters, this is another fun read. I got sucked right into it. I just wanted more. I wish it was longer but I knew that going into it.
