Dumpy's Happy Holiday

Rate this book
It's the holiday season in Apple Harbor, and in the spirit of giving, the Barnes family -- Charlie, Pop-Up, and Farmer and Mrs. Barnes -- launch a charity drive for children in need. As always, Dumpy is ready to help, and soon his dumper is filled with gifts. But what starts as a local effort soon becomes an adventure with international impact. This festive addition to the popular Dumpy the Dump Truck series demonstrates that when hearts are in the right place, opportunities and solutions will surely follow . . . and that giving brings its own rewards.

Boring. Seems to never end and the story is too drawn out for what it is. My son was drawn to the dump truck illustrations but found the book really lacking.

A cute holiday charity book. A small village gathers toys from all of the citizens. They then take them to the city, where the United Nations will ship them to Africa and the many children who do not have toys.

Another disappointing book by Julie Andrews and company. Choppy plot, and culturally inaccurate/misleading illustrations don't make up for the commendable ideas of charity and things working out for the best.
