I liked the story focus - on coyotes killing pets. I wish that some of the beginning chapters would have been replaced by more details about what she did about spreading the word. In my eyes that was the heart of the story and it was told in a "remembering back" in the last chapter - would have loved more details about this!! I would recommend this to 4th or 5th graders.
