Caitlin, a cold-case specialist with the Alabama State Division of Investigations, wants nothing to do with the case nor Dax. Not only is the evidence against Dax’s father already condemning, she can’t risk having her heart broken—again.
Caitlin’s boss, however, ignores her arguments, and she begrudgingly takes the consult, convincing herself she can keep the case and her past with Dax separate. But unlike her, longings and memories don’t follow orders. While she lends her skills to the Gulf Shores Police Department in the search for the truth, Dax fends off a possibly career-ending social media hit—leading him to question everything he knows about his father and himself.
As the secrets of both their pasts unfold, they discover whether Dax’s father truly robbed and murdered a man forty years ago but also why Caitlin ended their relationship. Secrets that could drive a wedge between them, forever.
Felicia Ferguson is a sojourner, Frenchie mom, and Jesus girl. An award-winning fiction and non-fiction freelance writer, she knew in the fifth grade that she wanted to be a writer. Her passion is writing strong female characters who work through their traumas and tragedies using biblical principles and counseling techniques. She has master's degrees in healthcare administration and communication disorders and has worked in inner healing prayer ministries. Her radio devotional, Build Faith for the Journey, airs Saturdays on Christian Mix 106.
As a child, Felicia lived in Kansas, Texas, and Louisiana before her family settled on a horse and cattle farm in Kentucky. As an adult, she lived in Tennessee for two years and later spent ten years in the Florida panhandle soaking up the sand and sun. But then she moved once again. This time out of the South and into the mountains of Colorado. When she’s not glued to her laptop, Felicia enjoys hiking, Bible studies with friends, and raising her latest French Bulldog fur-child.
Alabama’s favourite son, Maddox ‘Dax’ Carpenter, a national champion wide receiver with a 12-year NFL career and a recent induction into his college’s Hall of Fame, has just received news that has flattened him - his father has been arrested.
A witness has come forward accusing Dax’s father, Marc, of robbery and murder forty years ago at The Broken Flip Flop, a popular restaurant in Gulf Shores.
Dax reaches out to the only person who would understand, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Caitlin Fitzhugh - his girlfriend five years ago.
Is this a case of mistaken identity? How does a child react to news that his father has possibly been living a lie? How does one go about clearing one’s name? What damage will this bring to Dax’s career?
Author Felicia Ferguson captures the exasperation and repudiation the Fitzhughs and Carpenters are experiencing as well as how this allegation affects relationships within the family and community. The subplots involving a cold case, a parent with dementia, and a sibling experiencing fertility difficulties added to the plot's authenticity and created layers of emotion. Ferguson’s exploration of what happens when we face an unexpected road bump is stellar and captivating.
I also enjoyed an examination of: 💙the benefits of trusting God to orchestrate 💙not allowing a loss to take everything away from you 💙the dangers of bargaining with God 💙the importance of telling the truth 💙restoration 💙what it means to call oneself a ‘child of God’
That’s the thing about secrets - they always come calling when you least expect them!
I was gifted this copy by Salt & Light Publishing and JustRead Tours and was under no obligation to provide a review.
This Women's Fiction novel has a touch of romantic suspense to it. The cover is purely reflective of Women's Fiction and well done.
As a cold case specialist, Caitlin is professionally interested when her former boyfriend Dax contacts her to look into a 40 year old crime that his father has been accused of committing. However, she's not sure her heart can take it. She ultimately decides to help out Dax and his family by seeing what she can learn about the cold case.
As the two spend time together, it's difficult for either of them to deny the sparks flying between them. Both have struggles to work through. For Caitlin it's letting go of guilt from an event that occurred when she was in college. For Dax, it's the legal battle for his dad and figuring out where he is headed career-wise after a pro-football career.
While I didn't enjoy this novel as much as The Choices She Made, it's a good one and recommended.
My gratitude to the author for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. While the captivating cover initially drew me in, it was the compelling narrative that held my attention from the first chapter to the last.
The story revolves around Caitlin and Dax, whose lives are marked by profound pain and loss, yet ultimately find reconciliation through their faith in God. This gripping tale explores their journey of redemption, emphasizing themes of reliance and trust in God, particularly during life's most challenging moments. The unwavering support system portrayed in the book was truly heartwarming and invaluable.
The author's skillful storytelling is both beautiful and commendable, capturing the essence of faith and resilience with grace.
I received a review copy of this book, and my opinions expressed here are honest and unbiased.
I really enjoyed this book! Little love story mixed with intrigue & mystery. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to talk about specific locations in Gulf Shores (but I also realize that could have created many hurdles. Great book! I love that everything didn't tie up neat and tidy. It wasn't a perfect HEA but it was amazingly done. I am looking forward to reading more by Ferguson! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
When Secrets Come Calling is the first book I have read written by Felicia Ferguson, and it did not disappoint. It was like watching a movie, only better. This was one of those books that as soon as you finish you have to just take a minute and process. Almost mourn the loss of the characters, because you become so invested. I truly look forward to reading some more books by Felicia Ferguson.
The character development was truly amazing. I became so invested in Caitlin, Dax and their family’s story. The characters were rich and dynamic, dealing with both past and present issues. With the past bringing to light some of the layers to each character.
The setting and storyline were perfect. I loved the mixture of present and slowly learning about the past events that transpired. It really added to the suspense aspect of the novel. I also enjoyed the law force and lawyer aspect. I seem to be drawn to storylines that contain one or the other.
The romance aspect was sweet and nothing to over the top. It was the perfect amount. I loved that Caitlin and Dax got a second chance at their relationship even in the not so perfect circumstances.
The Christian element was good. I enjoyed working through Caitlin’s struggle with her faith. Sometimes when hard things happen, it can really rock your faith.
*I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily chose to review it. All opinions are my own.
You know that old saying, don't judge a book by its cover? Well, it certainly applies to this story. At first glance it looks like a possible romantic beachy read, it is not. For some reason the cover does throw me off. This story is so much more.
This is a romance, a second chance one. It is also a mystery. When former football player, Dax Carpenter walks back into cold case specialist Caitlin's life, he wants her to investigate a case regarding his father. A witness has come forward and accused his father of murder. Caitlin doesn't quite know what to do. She wants to say no, as she doesn't want to open any possibility of romance with Dax. However, there will be no possibility of romance if she uncovers evidence his father is guilty. She is between a rock and a hard place.
As Caitlin searches for the truth, we get a glimpse into her present and past life. She also is dealing with a lot of familial issues. I felt for her as she carries a lot of guilt from the past and her father is in poor health on top of that. One of the themes I liked most in this story was when Caitlin comes to the realization that she is not guilty for what happened in her past. Bad things happen, but she must stop punishing herself and robbing herself of her future. How true is that for many of us?
There was a lot going on in this story, it certainly was not that peaceful scene on the cover.
I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
A romantic suspense, is my favorite genre of all time. This one did not disappoint at all.
A story of second chance, romance between Caitlyn and Dax. The buildup and angst between the two were perfect and the sparkling, clean romance.
This one was full of mystery, secrets, hidden, family, drama, and faith. I adored the faith elements weaved throughout. How Kaitlyn couldn’t understand how or why bad things happen to good people… I think we all have struggled with. But, they both of found their strength by depending on God.
I highly recommend this one. It’s always a wonderful thing when you can relate to a book.
Felicia Ferguson takes readers on a delightful journey in this squeaky-clean romantic suspense.
How refreshing to read an inspirational suspense story that does not involve a dramatic run-for-your-life trope. Instead, the author shocks us with a cold case and throws us into the middle of a possible mistaken identity or secret revealed. You’ll just have to read it to find out which.
I enjoyed reading the second chance romance between Caitlin and Dax. There was a lot of angst due to the circumstances that brought them back together and because of how they parted.
I loved that the author chose Caitlin as the special agent to solve the case. How exciting to read strong female lead.
Fans of inspirational romantic suspense will enjoy this page-turner.
Romance: Squeaky clean Faith: Strong spiritual arc for both characters as they learn to trust God.
I received an advanced copy of this book courtesy of the publisher through Just Read Tours. All opinions are my own.
Some say the truth will set you free, but in this particular case it is going to rock someone's world. This book was chock full of emotional landmines. No matter what happens. Someone is going to be in pain.
Dax Carpenter is a celebrity in the world of football as a former Wide Receiver for the University of Alabama and then later the Tennessee Titans. When he receives a phone call from his mother telling him that his father has been arrested for a robbery and murder from 40 years ago, he is shocked to his core. The first person that comes to mind is his former girlfriend, Caitlin Fitzhugh.
Caitlin Fitzhugh is a cold-case specialist for the Alabama State Division of Investigators. She is an expert in cold cases. Dax wants her to help clear his dad's name. Caitlin broke his heart many years ago, but he knows that she knows her stuff. She tries to get out of helping him, but eventually heads to Gulf Shores to help the local police with this case.
I had my head stuck in this book for the entire evening and simply could not put it down. It was a powerful story of how fragile life can be, and how fragile relationships can be as well.
Caitlin is holding onto pain and guilt from her past, which she has allowed to have a chokehold on her life. She has completely lost her faith in God, and cannot understand how people can have faith when all seems lost. This pain and guilt has completely consumed her. Dax was so sweet. He never stopped loving Caitlin. I fell in love with his character immediately. He was a good man and good son. The sparks between Caitlin and Dax were obvious from their first meeting in the book.
This book was thought-provoking. Lives have been destroyed, but it also showcased that faith in these characters' lives made a difference. It did not make the pain hurt any less, but it provided hope for the future. I always enjoy reading about second chances. This was the first book I have read by this author, but I will be checking her other books out. If you enjoy women's fiction with a faith element, you will enjoy this one.
Thank you to JustRead Publicity Tours and the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
When Secrets Come Calling was the first book I have read by Felicia Ferguson and I really enjoyed it. The story is mainly told from Dax and Caitlin's points of view, though there is one other's point of view occasionally. Dax and Caitlin used to be a couple, but their relationship has been over for several years. The only reason they are talking now is because Dax has requested her help in finding the truth in his father's case. His world has been turned upside down because his father is being accused of a 40 year old robbery and murder. His father is maintaining his innocence. Caitlin is a cold-case specialist and has to remain neutral in her investigation, even if her findings end up hurting Dax. Getting closure for the victim's family is very important to her, for personal reasons as well as professional reasons. There are some twists and turns in both the criminal case and their relationship, some I didn't see coming. I really enjoyed getting to know Dax and Caitlin and their families and friends. There was a lot going on in this story in addition to the main criminal case and the romance. So, I really feel like I got to know these characters. While at the beginning I was waiting for there to be some suspense, it began to dawn on me that their really wasn't any, at least what I am used to in a book that is listed as "romantic suspense." That doesn't mean it isn't a good book. I just thought I would mention it. There is a bit of mystery in trying to figure out what exactly happened 40 years earlier. You will find second chances, in more than just the romance. And faith plays an important role in these characters' lives. Will they learn to lean on the Lord and trust Him? This is a great book, and one I highly recommend. I received an e-copy of this book as a member of the launch team, and was not required to write a favorable review. These are my own honest thoughts.
The plot of When Secrets Come Calling by Felicia Ferguson certainly intrigued me. Mark, a faithful and loving husband, father, and business owner is accused of crimes committed 40 years ago. How is this possible? What new evidence has surfaced? Is he guilty?
Mark's only child Dax, a former collegiate and pro football star, is desperate to prove his innocence and contacts the only person he thinks can help their family - Caitlin, a skilled cold case investigator ... and his former girlfriend. She reluctantly agrees to help, noting it's her goal to solve the case, whether or not it exonerates his father. The story is told in dual point-of-view format, providing readers both of their thoughts and motivations. As they spend time together, old feelings resurface. What does the future look like for Dax, Caitlin, and their families?
A lot is happening in this book, and its cover, while lovely, can be misleading. This is a second chance romance / police procedural rather than beachy women's fiction. In addition to the main story, subplots include long-held grief resulting from a tragedy that motivated Caitlin's career choice as well as personal struggles involving her brother and sister-in-law and her parents. I was very interested in the main story's resolution, and I was mostly satisfied, but the final section felt rushed and somewhat unbelievable. The numerous issues in Caitlin's personal life seemed a bit much, one or two would've been sufficient to the story.
When Secrets Come Calling has a strong faith thread throughout which I appreciated, except for one point when belief is implied to be transactional for blessings in one's life.
Thank you to the author and JustRead Publicity Tours for a complimentary copy of this novel; all opinions are my own.
The truth really does set you free in When Secrets Come Calling, a women’s fiction novel that was easy to get lost in and tells a wonderful story of repentance and redemption.
A fresh lead on a cold case brings ex-lovers Dax and Caitlin back in one another’s lives as the truth is sought out from both a personal and professional perspective. I liked the thread of faith that was interwoven in the narrative and how the characters were by no means perfect but how everything came together for good. There are slight, unexpected twists that keeps things interesting, and the overall flow was perfectly paced.
Though this is a fictional story I could sadly see this scenario play out in real life. People are abducted and missing for decades, one wrong choice leaves a family without a family member, and others live with deeply held secrets that they would give anything to run away from. Life is messy and we all have our baggage, and this is shown in this novel in technicolor, but it also showed second chances, forgiveness, and facing the truth head on. There would be so many more cases solved and victims that are able to grieve and put the nightmare ordeals to rest if they could have the same conclusion happen like it did in this novel.
Being a fan of true crime, I really enjoyed this novel. The overall storyline is great, the characters are flawed and real, the writing is top notch, and it was so easy to get lost in this world. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it.
*I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.
I have been enjoying reading Christian Suspense novels more and more in the last couple of years. When Secrets Come Calling by Felicia Ferguson is the latest in this genre that I have recently read. I was intrigued by the synopsis of the book and also the fact that I have never read any of Felicia Ferguson's books until now.
I have to say this book captured my attention from the very first pages and I could NOT put it down until I finished the book. The 2 main characters, Dex Carpenter and Caitlin Fitzhugh have had a relationship in the past. They reconnect when Dex needs help figuring out if his father really committed a murder 40yrs ago. Caitlin works for a Cold Case Division and Dex is reluctant to call upon her, but he really wants to figure out if his Dad really committed a crime. Caitlin is reluctant to take the case, but her boss wants her to work the case. I really LOVE that Caitlin and Dex realize the love for one another is still there even after all these years. The more time they spend together on this case, the more "flames are sparked". They both have baggage and secrets from the past, but it is Caitlin who is really struggling with her past. My favorite character in the book is Caitlin. She is a strong woman who trust in her faith throughout the book and her faith is part of her wonderful personality. She is true to herself and others. Dex is also an AMAZING character. He remained strong as secrets were revealed about his family. The book is a definite page turner. Faith, Mystery, Family, Second Chance Romance are all entailed in this storyline! I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who enjoys Christian Mystery Romance! WONDERFUL BOOK!
This was the first novel I've ever read by Felicia Ferguson and I enjoyed it. I don't typically reach for contemporary novels, but this one called me with its title. This is definitely a book about second chances in more ways than one and it's nice to read one where a couple doesn't work out, but then fights hard to come back together. The relationship is really about second fiddle to the main story which follows the cold case that is brought back to life with a confession.
Dax has to work through a lot of emotions connected to his high profile job being on the line due to his dad's sudden arrest, as well as processing the idea that his dad may have actually done the crime 40 years ago. Being there to support his mom, but also trying to juggle dealing with cold case consultant Caitlin--his former girlfriend and love of his life. I like that his story involved determining that something physical and fleeting didn't determine his value.
Caitlin has to deal with her faith in a God that doesn't prevent bad things from happening to people she loves. She has major baggage in the mysterious disappearance of her best friend over a decade ago that shaped her into who she is. But she just can't wrap her head around a God that allows people to suffer.
While this called a suspense--I really didn't think it was suspenseful at all! You knew how it was going to end. No surprises.
It was still a solid story. 4 stars
*I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Truly I loved Felicia’s book “When Secrets Come Calling”. I’m so glad I had nothing planned these last two days because I couldn’t put the book down! Felicia writes in such a way that you totally get to understand her characters and can feel their fear, their angst, their love for each other. I loved how they worked out their love and respect for their parents, family members even when secrets started to unravel. And boy did they start to unravel!! Caitlin and her family did the job they were asked to do even when they knew it could overwhelm someone they knew and respected. It’s funny how secrets people hide behind for years and years sculpted their lives, hiding in pain and not be able to pull themselves out of their pain or their secrets. Felicia writes a beautiful story of redemption, love and second chances. Make time to start reading “When Secrets Come Calling” and be prepared to get nothing accomplished until you’ve read the entire book!!
The cover immediately screamed beach read but unless you are sitting on the beach/pool with snacks and drinks you will not be enjoying the water as you relax and get lost in this book. I really enjoyed the setting and characters. This is a second chance romance but the way that brought them together was a crime that happened forty years ago. The romance build up was a slow burn but totally worth it.
This was my first story by this author and I was glad to have found a new author that writes one of my favorite genres. The suspense was there and the twists had me guessing on who the culprit really was. The faith elements were weaved in throughout the story seamlessly. Finding your strength on the one who gives it was a key point in this story and I think these characters fully understood it towards the end of the story.
Overall I really enjoyed it. If you are looking for new suspense read I think you should give this one a try!
I received a copy of this book for review. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
When NFL star Dax learns of his father's arrest, one person comes to his mind...Catie. Caitlin is an investigator and a cold case expert. She also happens to be the girl he loves. Caitlin works to solve a case from 40 years ago, ultimately causing some major questions amongst Dax's family. Will the truth be revealed, how will everyone react, and most importantly will Dax and Caitlin get back together? Find out in this great summertime romantic suspense. It is a quick read perfect for poolside, on the beach, or relaxing with some tea. I enjoyed the romance piece as well as Caitlin's character. She stays true to the truth even when it may be difficult. In the end, it seems everyone gets a happy ending (although it may look different than what is typical). Check it out for yourself. I enjoyed it! I received a copy as an ARC and all opinions are my own. I was not required to leave a positive review.
When Secrets Come Calling by Felicia Ferguson is a great read for those who enjoy Women's Fiction.
Caitlin is a detective who specializes in solving cold cases. She is also a singer, but this is downplayed. Caitlin was on track to become a great singer when her roommate and best friend disappeared. Heartbroken she changed her career to becoming a detective, a cold case detective.
Dax is a football star for Alabama's team. He is widely known and is often stopped on the street, beach, or restaurant and asked for autograph or talk shop. One day Dax learnes his father has been arrested. He loved his father and couldn't imagine the charges to be true. Not trusting the assigned detectives to solve the case he calls his ex girlfriend Caitlin and asks for her help.
No so much a whodunit as a didhedoit story, we spend time in Gulf Shores, Alabama with Caitlin and Dax.
I really enjoyed this second chance romantic suspense. I thought the story was engaging and the characters were easy to love. I found myself wanting to keep reading to find out what happened to them and to understand them more and why they did what they did. I liked how we saw so many secrets revealed through this story and how each person dealt with them. I liked seeing the healing and growth in the characters as they let go of things from their past. I also liked seeing the romance between Dax and Caitlin grow as they are put back into each other’s paths and seeing them be willing to give love a chance. I really liked this story and would highly recommend it.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
I enjoyed reading this unique mystery about what happens when a former couple is thrown together to help solve a cold case that may have new evidence. I thought that the premise was quite interesting, a man is accused with a 40 year old crime when his supposed former partner calls in with a tip. Caitlin is put in a difficult position where she wants to help solve another cold case, while not wanting to work with her ex boyfriend again. I could only imagine being in both Caitlin and Dax's position, but I can especially imagine how hard it would be to have a loved one accused of a crime and wondering if they are the person that you thought you knew. This is a wonderful, cozy mystery with some unique twists and turns. I hope that the author will write more about these characters!
I received this book from Just Read. This is my honest review.
This one was good, not great. First off, unfortunate cover choice, with a misleading beach vibe. And I liked Dax and Caitlin, but even with their shared history, the transition to dating felt a bit sudden. The faith parts were not very fluid to me, either. It seemed like Caitlin flipped a switch as she let Missy go, then was immediately ready to be with Dax. She said she needed time, but then they got engaged right away... Still, I liked the cold case angle, and that Caitlin's career connected her back to Dax. I liked that it wasn't a perfect ending, but a bit messy, like real life. Caitlin's family members were great side characters, too. I'd give this author another try someday.
Content: clean.
I received this book free from the publisher/author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

A read that makes you think about how much a person means to you, friend, romance, child or parent. We meet a young woman who has lived with a dear friend missing, and now her father is ill, can she move on and accept life challenges? We are also given an outstanding football player, and he is now thrown for a loop when his Dad is arrested, and thus he calls the girl that dumped him, but she works cold cases, can she help? This story does give us sweet romance, and in-depth look into some families, and their challenges! I loved the strong theme here of depending on God, and finding their strength through Him. This is a page turner, and answers do coming! I received this book through a launch team, and was not required to give a positive review.
I enjoyed reading this second chance romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed their writing style and attention to details that made the characters pop off the pages. This is a story that is written with alot of heart and unforgetable characters. I found this book to be well written and hard to put down. It is an engaging story that has charcters that I had no problem connecting with. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which made the story easy and entertaining to read. This story also has a suspense aspect to it which just adds to the story. I really enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to seeing what is next for this author. I highly recommend this must read book.
This is the first book I've read by Felicia Ferguson. It is a second chance story with "questioning faith undertones". Former couple Dax Carpenter and Caitlin Fitshugh are brought together when his father is accused of a forty-year-old robbery and murder. Dax contacts her because she works at the Alabama State Division of Investigations as a cold case expert. They both know that she will be able to get to the bottom of the case. Dax isn't the only one to have major family issues to deal with as Caitlin's dad is battling dementia. During the three weeks that the story takes place, the characters will need to rely on their faith to get them through life's hurdles. I liked the characters and enjoyed their story.
I was asked to read this book by an author I’d not heard of. I must say I’m glad I accepted. This book will keep you guessing and the suspense is will hold you captive.
Dax Carpenters father has been arrested for murder thirty years ago. Dax ask his ex-girlfriend, Caitlin Fitzugh, a cold case investigator, to assist him. He’s convinced his dad is innocent, but is he?
Felicia Ferguson is an author I’ll want to read more of. She weaves a story that will keep you guessing and holding your breath.
“I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, and this is my honest review."
This is a romantic suspense novel where what happened in the past must be brought to light. It is a book of second chances. Being the first book I have read by this author, I really didn't know what to expect. I wasn't completely sure how the mystery part was going to play out at first and it wasn't quite like the typical suspense books that I normally read. This one is a little more low keyed. The book was a good read and gave me a break from my usual deeper more intense reads.
I received a complimentary ARC and wasn't required to post a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A wonderfully written, story of love, loss, and redemption with faith at its core.
I love that under such heartbreaking circumstances, so many second chances in life could be granted. If you love a heart-felt story that leaves you guessing as to whether those you love and trust the most are who they say they are, I would recommend this book! I found myself not wanting to put it down and have a feeling you will feel the same way.
**This book was sent to me by the publisher. I was not required to write a review and the opinions in this review are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! As someone who’s a big fan of mystery and suspense this story hit all the buttons to be one I devoured. It pulled me from the first pages and I liked the second chance romance for Caitlin and Dax in addition to the mystery storyline. This was a really fun read!
I received an ARC of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
An enjoyable second-chance romance with deep themes of grief, loss, long-held secrets, and forgiveness. If you like true-to-life stories with light suspense, a prominent spiritual thread, and flawed characters who overcome adversity and strongholds, you'll want to check out this author's newest offering.
*I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to provide a favorable review. All thoughts are my own.
I love suspense, and this book didn't disappoint. I know Gulf Shores, AL very well, so it was fun reading about familiar locations.
This story is filled with intrigue, sadness, and suspense. I needed tissues at one point. I loved the characters of Caitlin and Dax and the tremendously difficult situations they had to overcome.
Whenever I had to stop reading, I couldn't wait until the next time I could pick up this book and continue.
