maybe it's because torts tends to be one of the more interesting classes of 1L (& probably my favorite 1L class) but i actually liked this book! i think that the layout was really organized & made a lot of sense for the way & order in which torts is taught. the writing was engaging & interesting & was able to keep my attention even through hours & hours of reading. i also think that unlike a lot of other law casebooks, this one really broke down concepts & explained them really well instead of putting the emphasis on making the text as convoluted & confusing as possible. the only thing was the copious amounts of notes after cases but honestly, i even kind of didn't mind those because they gave extra background, updates, similar cases, & exceptions that may have been extra but were at least interesting.

will never forget palsgraf!
