4.5 - sometimes difficult to discuss with a group with no leading group questions

Truly forever grateful for this study! Following having a baby time with Jesus just has been hard. My desire was low and ultimately I didn’t know how to spend time with the lord when life felt really hard and dark for many reasons. This study was easy to follow, efficient to complete when I didn’t have more than 15 minutes, yes deeply rooted in biblical truths to encourage whatever I was facing that day!

This study was so so good! It’s hard to separate a deepening walk with God and what I gleaned from His Word from the content of the study itself, but it was certainly central along the way 🙏 I highly recommend this, so encouraging to overwhelmed moms and it will constantly point you back to God. He is the answer to our every problem and He is our purpose in our motherhood! It was a challenge to disciple my kids more, be more dependent on Jesus, and a great reminder that He is with us every moment and our strength in hard emotions.

Went through this with a small group of moms, and you better believe we've only made it to meeting up 2 or 3 times in nearly 10 weeks 😂 The Chaos is real! Our group leader was going through it for the 3rd time, and as I neared the end, I understood why. I plan to go through it again because it has SO much truth for right where I'm at. Dealing with Overwhelm? Dealing with laziness? Need to hear the truth of the gospel and eternity and Jesus being with you in the trenches? This devo book has it! The Bible studies and devotions and everything else packed in are so poignant and helpful and things I will continue to need reminders of.
I am still in a very early stage of motherhood, but it addresses moms who have kids at home. If you're not an empty nester yet, you could glean from this study.

I am a new, adoptive mama, so maybe some of the truths in this book would be old news for moms who have been in the thick of it for years. For me however, I felt very helped by this study.

A little repetitive in my opinion. I wish it went deeper and connected motherhood to scripture more.

I liked this study but it didn't feel like enough for me. It felt very repetitive at times: if you're having a hard mothering day, God will get you through it. If you're dealing with frustrations, God will get you through it. Etc.etc.
I also wished there was more scripture reading involved. Often times the scripture mentioned in the notes for the day were more aligned with the topic than those selected to read for the day. I would have preferred integration of both.
For a newer believer I think this could be an excellent study but it felt too superficial for me, personally.

A motherhood study that adresses all the difficult emotions of motherhood, but with the purpose of redirecting our focus to the Gospel. I have read very few books that do this well, and while still imperfect I think this is one of the better studies I have read, and very practical for young mothers.
There were also a lot of helpful tools at the begininng of the book such as: a list of God's attributes, a guide to inductive Bible Studies, the metanarrative of Scripture, and the timeline of Scripture. While I may have finished the study, I find myself regularly referencing these tools.
Overall it was good, but I do wish there was more Scripture reading than just a few verses.

God and Garlic- our first Bible study together!
God blessed me with two amazing women whom I have had the opportunity to study and dive deeper in God’s word specifically motherhood!! This book touched so many different emotions in motherhood- and with them we are reminded that God is there for every single moment! Encouraging us to reach out to HIM on the difficult days and praise him on the easy days! But above all—-> to make disciples of our children! This world will be gone with all of its materialism- focus on what’s eternal and make that a priority!!

This was a beautiful devotional. I appreciated that the devotions weren't 45 minutes long because the Lord knows I don't have time to sit still right now. I definitely noticed my spirit was lighter and I was able to pause more often during the hard moments of motherhood. There was some instructions on discipling your children which was helpful, but I wish there was even more. I'm looking forward to doing another Daily Grace Co study in the future!

I’m only rating this devotional a 2 star and not a 1 star because of the pretty layout and the beautiful photos included. I was so excited about this book but it was very basic with no depth. I’m very disappointed.

This is a phenomenal study on strong emotions and what the Bible says about them. It was encouraging and comforting. I would recommend it for any woman, not just mothers, and wish they had it for men, as well!

A wonderful Bible study for any Christian woman in the mothering season. I love studies that allow you space to reflect and write your thoughts. Plus, it is beautifully laid out.

A good Bible study on how to handle all the difficult emotions that come with Motherhood. Some days resonated more with me than others. It got very repetitive towards the end.

Really enjoyed this Bible Study on motherhood. Lots of different topics and emotions moms experience daily, reminding you it’s normal to experience those and how to navigate them biblically.
