Nothing spoils the soup…
Quite like murder.
River cruise kitchen manager and amateur sleuth, Lorelei Baker, is excited to be back on board after her winter break and is ready to keep on rolling down the river.

It’s smooth sailing at first, even though there are some rather high maintenance passengers who seem determined to make her life a bit more challenging by insisting upon having all of their meals delivered by room service.

A tragic event throws the entire staff into a tizzy while in their first port, and Lorelei is determined to get to the truth. What she doesn’t know is that she might be putting herself in danger by jumping in to investigate.

Can she catch a killer, or will she find herself in over her head? Find out in this exciting Culinary Cozy Mystery!

The gang is back on the river boat cruise. This time they have a threesome
that is going to give them grief the entire cruise. The man is very rude
and makes al kids of demands on the team. Lorelei denies his demands at every
turn but he doesn't give up. The shy young woman who is the assistant and the
woman who wants to keep her identiy unknown. During their first port one of the
passengers is murdered. This is a great read as the clues come Lorelie's way.

Third story in the series

Lorelei is back for her third cruise on the riverboat as kitchen manager. This is a 16 day cruise requiring much more meal planning. There is a mystery passenger who is in the most expensive suite with her companion. They start out the trip demanding special treatment with their meals delivered to the room. From there the intrigue grows with lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending. A fun read.

I knew one of the current passengers was a real piece of work but wow! A member their party had died eating at a port bar, so I’m pretty sure the crew was just happy it didn’t happen on board again. Just off winter break and and having binged on true crime shows made Lorelei all that much more suspicious. And for this case she teamed up with an unlikely sleuthing buddy. There’s just never a dull moment on The Aurora!

Cruising and murder go hand and hand in this series. This book joins the others as well written with a mystery that begs to be solved. The cruise staff is as diverse as their passengers but mesh well as they serve their clientele and solve crimes. A quick, fun read.
