The only requirement for admission to the Rotten Apple Corps was the performance of a thoroughly disreputable act and the members, now well into adulthood, are being systematically eliminated by an unknown poor sport
The Rotten Apples is a group of youthful acquaintances who all had an unsavory act or crime in their pasts and have agreed to keep each other's secrets. Fifty years later, one of them seeks the help of Dearborn V. Pinch, when she discovers two have died under unusual circumstances, and she fears she may be next. It's up to Dearborn and his son Benjamin to figure out who and why the members of the Rotten Apples are being killed off. Filled with some eccentric characters, the book is amusing, fun, and entertaining, however as a mystery it's not exactly fairly clued for the reader. I believe there were only two books in this mystery series, the second one being "Sneaks."
