Lord, who crashes a stranger’s wedding and ends up spending a hot night with a secret billionaire? That'd be me. I blame my bestie, Simone. She dragged me along to her gig, and I slammed straight into Alexander, whose eyes—one green, one half-hazel—held promises even stars couldn’t keep.
But a crash later, and not the wedding kind, wiped my slate clean. No memories of him, just a lingering ache for what might’ve been and, nine months later, a little girl with his same two-toned eyes.
That should have been the end of it, but life has a way of coming back around to bite you.
Seeing her across that crowded ballroom, I knew Naima was something special. I wanted her. We danced, we laughed, and for a night, we were everything to each other.
But just as suddenly as she appeared, she vanished. Not a trace, not a call. Five years of wondering, five years of 'what if?' Until one day, she waltzes into my company as a contract employee. She acts like she doesn’t know me, but I see the photograph of a little girl on her desk. A little girl with my eyes.
I won’t give Naima the satisfaction of knowing how much she hurt me until I find out the truth. Why did she ghost? How could she keep our daughter a secret?
Yet, despite my rage, more than answers, I still want her.
Her Forgotten Billionaire is an BWWM Second Chance Secret Baby (so Secret Baby even Naima doesn’t know who the dad is) billionaire interracial romance with humor, hotness, and a touch of danger to keep you turning those pages into the wee hours. No cheating, HEA guaranteed.
Lots of twists and turns in this captivating page turner.
It's almost impossible to build trust or get to know someone at a wedding and then wake up the next morning alone. Now add an almost fatal 18 wheeler truck and car accident, and no way to contact the other person. Unfortunately, this is what Alex and Naima now face.
Naima does not recognize Alex and he thinks she is being deceitful. How do you solve that? Great story!!!!!!!!!!!!
𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 is a short and sweet interracial romance featuring a second chance and a secret baby—a combination that made for an enjoyable, quick read. At under 300 pages, it’s perfect for finishing in one sitting, especially if you’re in the mood for something light yet dramatic.
While the plot is fairly predictable, it doesn’t take away from the charm of the story. The romance between Naima and Alexander is heartfelt and touching, with enough drama to keep you engaged without overshadowing the central love story. The second chance trope is beautifully explored, and the secret baby aspect adds a layer of emotional depth.
This book is light on spice, focusing more on emotional connection and romance. The writing is solid, making it easy to immerse yourself in the story. One of the highlights for me was the interracial romance, which added a refreshing dynamic to the story.
If you love short romances that balance sweetness and drama with a touch of family dynamics, this is a great choice. I’d rate this book a solid 3.5 to 4 stars—it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a satisfying, cozy read for fans of second chance and single-parent tropes.
The second chance trope in this story was perfectly executed. Even though the book was predictable, it still kept me on edge, wondering how everything would unfold. The drama was just enough to add tension without overshadowing the romance. At times, I felt nervous for the characters, unsure if they would get the happy ending they deserved, but the journey made the resolution even sweeter.
🩵Overall, 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 is a charming, emotional read that highlights love, patience, and second chances.

This was not the typical one night stand, second chance, secret baby interracial romance. Alex and Naima did meet and have a one night stand. However, Alex wanted more and left his number for her to call him if she was interested. She was interested but a car accident wiped her memory of their one night stand but left her with his baby.
Of course they met again five years later. Alex recognized her and discovered he was the father of her daughter. He thought she had ghosted him. She had no memory of him and had no idea he was the father of her baby.
He found out what had happened and realized that she didn't remember him. There were continuity errors and missing developments that were irritating, causing the book in parts to be unbelievable.
Had the book been fully developed, it would have warranted a higher rating. Still, this was an interesting, quick read in spite of all the editing errors.
This was a surprisingly good read. I enjoyed reading Alex and Naima's love story. It all started with that one night stand that changed everything. Naima's life was changed drastically after that night and she was still dealing with it years later when she reconnected with Alex. And Alex was forever changed too and his life changed again when he reconnected with Naima. The two experienced so much, but I'm glad that they still loved each other and remembered that more than anything. They were able to deal with everything and even come out better than they were before. Like I said, a surprisingly good read.
This was so sad and romantic all at the same time. How unbelievable is it that something could happen like that, if he hadn't some kind of uncommon characteristics they may have never found out about him being the father. I was happy that it worked out. Mom was happy, grandparents were happy, little sister was happy and it worked out for their little family. Alex was a good man, he stepped up for his family when he found out and they needed him. I enjoyed it.
Imagine being pregnant and you can’t remember anything about it, after an accident that scared you physically and emotionally… Simone is correct when she said Naima was the most strong and resilient person she Knew. I agree!! most women would panic and get rid of the pregnancy. Zuri is one beautiful, smart, amazing little girl. And she is resilient just like her mama. Alex is a wonderful man, he embraced his responsibilities like a champ & I understand his anger when he saw her again, even though the poor her was clueless… Anyway, that was a really nice story with amazing characters
Ok..it starts off kind of "Insta..", But the brakes are put on thanks to the crash. Its a wonderful second chance that really shouldn't have happened. And everyone of the characters pull you in and makes you want to know everything about all of them. I even wished there was a second book featuring Naima's & Alex's besties. Some parts are predictable and a lil too sappy towards the end but overall---just delightful. 🤗
Even though Naima's accident did a job on her brain, her heart didn't forget Alex. It's a good thing he didn't let his anger keep him from finding out why she didn't seem to remember him. He knew there had to be a reason why, and when he found out he vowed to always be there for Naima and Zuri. The incident with someone's crazy cousin seemed to bond them even closer. Zuri really took to her new family and father.
I always enjoy reading Caldwell stories makes you feel the same enjoyment when you read you first romance book and the satisfaction you got from reading it. Falling in love at first site, then forgetting it due to an accident, then it takes you five yrs to see and feel that love again that was deep. I know Alex really believed Naima was playing with his feelings, it work itself out in the end. I know I will have to read this over again it was really good.
I liked the book but I felt as though it was missing something. I liked the insta lust between Alex and Naima and how they both enjoyed themselves there that night. Their reconnecting by chance was good especially so Zuri could have the opportunity to meet her father and his family. The missing elements was what happened Darius and why didn’t Naima sue the ride share nor trucking company.
Wow! What can I express about this story? There was always an underlying mystery-one night stand with an recognized billionaire, an accident causing partial memory loss, an unknown baby, the struggle to keep a memory alive, favoritism, hidden agenda of an outsider, and a tense reunion!!! The characters are strong and resilient which leads to a happily ever after!!!💚🦋
I loved this book! I'm a sucker for a second chance romances. Reading about Alexander and Naima's reconnection was soooo good!! And little Zuri was too precious and so sweet. Their journey wasn't smooth by any means. It was awesome to experience them finally getting their deserved HEA. 5⭐️ for sure.
This book has potential I generally enjoy a pregnancy trope. But this one had no depth it's the equivalent of having someone explain a book they read to you instead of you actually reading it. So many details felt stiff and the progression from point to point felt fickle. Just a rushed happy ending book with no staying power
This book storyline will keep you reading. So many emotions will run through you with each word! This book ending doesn’t leave you on a cliff knowing what will happen next. So to say, it would be FUN to have a series of these two characters but it’s not necessary.
The story was a good read. A few of the grammatical errors did turn me off to a few pages. I was also confused at the part where the police escorted them to the house and then they were fighting a battle alone. I don’t want to give too much away but that was the one mistake that bothered me most.
Naima dreams of opening a rest based on her grandmother's recipes and of dating again but is stalled. Bu she meets Alex at a wedding and then life goes left. Can she pick up the pieces. This gave the best plot twists on the 2nd chance, secret storyline. I wish the book went deeper and slower as the roots were there.
First I just have to say I Love This Story. It was a Story that had me reading until I was finished and ready to review and rate. I loved the characters and storyline. It was a Story that pulled the reader in and held on. I recommend this story to be read by anyone that wants to read a BWWM Second Chance.
Naima, Alex, Zuri, Simone...real characters that make you a part of the stoty!
This was a nice little book. A believable story with memorable characters. I couldn't put it down. I like a book that grabs your attention from the first paragraph, and this was such a book. Read it...you'll be glad you did!
I loved that special love connection Naima and Alex shared even after they was separated for 4 years they’re love was so strong and special it brought them back together great job really enjoyed it .(except for the mother in the beginning didn’t care for how she always put Naima down glad she came around)😂😂😂
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was in the moment from start to finish. These two just had an endearing quality from the very beginning. Family is everything and once it was all completed, the final strains sorted out, it was the best ending possible. Love was Grand!!!
Her Forgotten Billionaire by Mia Caldwell and Lexi Johnson was an awesome read. The storyline was interesting, it didn't lag and held my attention. I loved Alex and Naima's introduction. There are some awesome secondary characters that contributed this story. Great job😍😍😍
As Anita Baker sang, “ With all my heart, I love you, baby Stay with me and you will see My arms will hold you, baby Never leave, 'cause I believe I'm in love”
Really great read and great book but there were a couple of editing errors and continuity errors that probably need to be corrected. Otherwise I would definitely read again and recommend.
I enjoyed this, the storyline was engaging and their circumstances was entertaining. Steamy, very intense and heartfelt story. Both characters are likeable, glad they were able to reconnect and build upon their mutual attraction.
I really was hoping for more but the entire book was rushed. It was like the author forgotten the meat and potatoes. They wanted to get from a to z very quickly. For what it was it was a good book but left me feeling like meh
Great Book. Started it and finished it today. This is another one of those books that makes you feel good, even with drama. I’m going to check out Lexi Johnson next. Pick it up and enjoy.
There were some inconsistencies but the story was good. If there’s a series, I’ll keep reading. If simone has a book, I’ll definitely read bc I do love enemies to lovers trope.
Awesome storytelling…Love that author was sooo detailed & had a no nonsense way of dealing with drama. Darius showed himself from beginning! Change the locks!!!
