A plot is brewing in the Intercoastal Waterways of So. Georgia, as the giant black wraps chains around the limp lifeless body of the young CIA agent and lifts him over the edge of the boat and lets his weighted body slip into the dark waters of the night. Meanwhile back a the supposedly dilapidated colonial mansion, three power brokers plot to manipulate world power and energy with their sinister plot.
I appreciated the book’s understated approach. It blends espionage with corporate drama, creating a thriller that feels believable and grounded. The characters, particularly Ian St. Clair, are well-rounded, making the stakes feel personal. Graham’s pacing rewards readers who enjoy carefully constructed, slow-building tension. A strong read for thriller fans.
This novel could start tomorrow. The plot and story fit very well into today's complex world. You could visit with the characters in your living room and excitedly quiz them at any point in the story. Drama and mystique feed one another to keep the plot unfolding quickly. I finished the book enthralled with, could this really happen? All the details fit.
