From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author comes the next book in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team.
Trust Laramie Briscoe to provide engaging characters in a well-built world I want to revisit again and again. Carly Phillips, NY Times bestselling author.
Madden
Being the newest member of the Laurel Springs Police Department and the LSERT hasn't been easy. I'm trying to carve out a place of my own where family bonds run deep in this tight-knit group of men. They haven't been unwelcoming, but I yearn to truly belong.
In both Laurel Springs, and the LSERT. The one friend I can count on is my K-9 partner, Donut. We're working hard to prove our spot in the police department, and find a sense of home.
When I'm thrust into the role of school resource officer for the local elementary school, I never anticipate being drawn into an investigation that threatens to unravel the fabric of Laurel Springs. Going back to the origins of the Moonshine Task Force. Nor do I expect a little boy with sad eyes and his hot aunt to wiggle their way into my heart.
Becca
My new life as a dispatcher is a far cry from the dreams I had before I took custody of my nephew. I've put a lot on hold to make sure he has what he needs, and the stability he craves.
But Madden? He's a beacon of warmth and strength during an emotionally cold time for me. Despite my resolve to focus just on being a guardian, there's a spark between us, igniting a flame I thought was long gone.
As we navigate what is becoming an increasingly complex situation, we discover that in the craziness of chaos, love has a way of finding it's place. Even in the darkest of nights.
This was fucking amazing. I loved it so much. I need the next book asap. I can't wait to see what happens next after the way this one ended. I love her nephew and Donut together.
This review is going to be sweet and short just like this book was.
Madden has made a life for himself despite is no good parents. He has a great job, good friends and has found a love of a good woman. What more could a man as for right?
Now I'm so excited for the next book in the series, because i need Ruby and Caleb to be ok. I'm still not over the pause in their relationship and if they can't get it to the kther side I'm not sure I'll have faith for the rest of us to do so... Laramie Briscoe you make this right and make it good 🤣
Sweet couple featuring young love! Madden has admired Becca from afar since he met her at work. Becca has also been admiring him from a far. Little does she know she’s also been admiring him via social media videos as well. Becca has custody of her nephew which I love! Great characters with a well written story. I won’t lie though… I kept waiting for more snippets of Ruby and Caleb. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve read they will have another story next and I can hardly wait!!!
“Madden” is the ninth book in the “Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team Series.” Madden is the newest member of the Laurel Springs Police Department and also part of LSERT as a K-9 handler, his partner is Donut. Becca is a dispatcher with the Laurel Springs Police Department, not her dream job but when she takes on the responsibility of raising her eight year of nephew, she needs stability. Despite Becca’s resolve to focus on being a guardian to Mick, she cannot help but be attracted to Madden. The feeling is mutual.
Laurel Springs Elementary requests a school resource officer and Madden is offered the position. The school requires a police presence on school grounds and feel that Donut would be a great emotional support animal for the kids. He meets Becca’s nephew, and he and Donut help Mick through a panic attack. This incident brings Madden and Becca closer.
“Turning around, my gaze lands on the door, where someone has walked in with a couple of members of the Laurel Springs Police Department. My eyes travel along their backs, and I immediately know who she's talking about. I'd know that back anywhere. It's Madden.
He turns toward me, and his eyes meet mine. It's as if the oxygen gets sucked out of the room. There's never been another man who has affected me the way he does.”
This was a great read and I could not put it down - Laramie has done it again! There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from an alpha male small town romance! I’m very happily hooked. The chemistry between Sully and Shelby sizzles - the more time they spend together, the closer they get! You will fall in love with them, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. The sexual tension starts from the moment they meet and only gets stronger - it is HOT 🥵
You will fall in love with Madden and Becca, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
Madden Madden is treated as the new guy at work with the Laurel County police department even though he’s been there a while. He loves his job as a police officer and his partner, Donut (canine). He wants something different but he’s not sure what. The one this he does know is that he wants to get to know Becca, one of the police dispatchers, better. Becca is now responsible for raising her nephew after her brother ended up in jail. She works hard to balance her new life with trying to have a personal life. She has always been attracted to Madden. Can the two of them figure out a way to be together? Will their careers and personal lives get in the way?
I think it’s hysterical that the author made Madden a social media thirst trap! The fact that the women in town all watch his workout videos and drool over his is a great addition to the story (that’s not a spoiler because it’s how the author introduces Madden). The fact that he has found a way to monetize his workouts so he can save for a house is a creative twist. Madden seems like a good guy. He doesn’t have deep ties to the town like characters in the prior books have but he loves the town and he wants to do a good job for everyone. I like that he is offered a unique position as a school resource officer. It’s another nice twist. Becca is the big winner in this story. She is pulled in ten directions at the beginning of the story and adding Madden to her world actually improved her situation a lot. Becca’s nephew adds a lot to the story and allows both Becca and Madden to show that they are good people. There are characters from prior books that act as background characters. I like that the author included them since this is a small town and the police department is a tight knit community.
This is a small town, family drama, sweet love story. It made me smile. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love Madden and Becca together!. Despite difficult childhoods and their dysfunctional families, Madden and Brooke are doing their best to keep moving forward and follow a better path than other members of their family have done. Surprisingly enough, their hearts are still open to love, even after being battered and bruise. Madden steps up to support Brooke and the young nephew who is now in her custody after the death of his mother and his father going to prison on drug charges. Brooke is just twenty three with big dreams that she set aside in order to find a job that could provide a stable home life for her nephew, Mick. Living with her cousin helps too and gives her nephew two people who support him. As a police officer working at the elementary school, Madden has had some contact with Mick and has recognized that he needs some more support, support that he is willing to provide. Offering the support and a role model to look up to, gives Madden a chance to get to know Brooke better too. He has long been attracted to her, is actually a tad obsessed with her, and spending time outside of work with her is wonderful.
Their story is sweet, touching and has a good dose of spice. A bit of angst and mystery have been added to make this book even more interesting and enjoyable. Young Mick is an adorable and sensitive child who melts my heart. The connection between him and his aunt is sweet, as is the one he makes with Madden. I love the way the citizens of Laurel Springs rally to support Becca and Mick too. I will be happy to recommend this book as well as the previous books set in Laurel Springs.
Jump back into LSERT! Madden is the newest member of the Laurel Springs PD and LSERT. He and his K-9 partner Donut have been welcomed, but are still trying to find their niche. And he would definitely like to get to know the cute dispatcher better. Becca took the dispatcher job because it's close to home and it will help her support her nephew, who she had to take custody of. It's a good job, but sometimes stressful, as if she needs more stress. She's just trying to make ends meet and keep her life together, and she feels like she's failing miserably. She feels like she has no support except for her best friend. A bright spot though, is Madden. He's sweet, not to mention really hot! Ooh, those tattoos! Soon, Madden gets assigned as the school resource officer at the elementary school. He thinks it could be the opportunity he's been looking for. Then a discovery is made at the school that delves into town history and goes back to the origins of the MTF, and the mystery behind it draws in the LSERT. In the midst of that, Madden learns Becca's story and meets her nephew, who reminds him a lot of himself. He wants to be there for both of them, but will she let him in? OMG, there's town drama, and plenty of helpful/nosy people in this small town. Both of them come with family baggage, which comes to the fore, and takes it's toll. But it's amazing what you can work through when you have support. A good story with strong characters, and a little mystery added in. As always, a great read. Can't wait for Redemption!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was pulled right into this short story. The story has laughs, pain, suspense, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first as that series fuels this one: Renegade (Moonshine Task Force #1) Tank (Moonshine Task Force #2) Havoc (Moonshine Task Force #3) Ace (Moonshine Task Force #4) Menace (Moonshine Task Force #5) Cruise (Moonshine Task Force #6) Ransom (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #1) Suppression (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team, #2) Enigma (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #3) Cutter (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #4) Sullivan (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #5) Devante (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #6) Archer (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #7) Knight (Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team #8)
This is Becca and Madden’s story. Madden is a K-9 officer. When he is put into the role of resource office at the elementary school. He meets a little boy who is the nephew of the dispatcher at the station. He can see the sadness in the boy and makes fast friends with him. He learns all about the dispatcher in the process. The chemistry between them is hot but can they take a chance? What is it doesn’t work out. Will the boy lose another person in his life he counts on? Or will them being together give the boy more than he ever thought he would have? Can they build a family that the boy and they both need? Or will people get in the way? The end of this story sets up the next book of this series.
Madden is a K9 officer and Becca is a 911 dispatcher. They work together and are attracted to each other. It’s not really clear to me why though. I don’t even know what Becca looks like aside from long hair, dark eyes and she’s lost weight. That’s it. Due to Madden working out and posting it online for all the women to lust after, we know he’s built and she thinks he’s sexy (she follows him online). We have no idea what Madden sees in Becca, nothing to suggest it’s her looks, kindness or personality. Really, just that he likes her comments online and is interested in her. She thinks he’s nice and good looking. But aside from that I couldn’t get a good feel for where the attraction was coming from for either of them.
They both had rough childhoods and Becca is now taking care of her nephew. With Madden’s new job at the grade school, he meets and gets to know Mick, Becca’s nephew. At the same time Madden and Becca start hanging out. Through her new relationship with Madden, Becca finds more friends in the LSERT community.
Aside from not getting the attraction between the two, they have a great relationship and help each other when needed. Given their pasts, they understand each other like others may not.
Madden was great with Mick, helping him out when Becca struggled to figure out a way to. They became a family together.
This was a short read with glimpses of Caleb and Ruby’s continuing relationship struggles.
This is the 9th book in the LSERT series featuring Madden and Becca's emotional tale of overcoming your childhood trauma and how love always finds a way. Madden is the newest member of the LSERT so he's trying to find his place among the tight-knit group of men. Madden knows that his K-9 partner Donut has his back and he's really working hard to prove that they belong. Becca is a dispatcher at the Laurel Springs police station and she's put her life on hold to raise her nephew Mick after his father goes to jail. Madden and Becca are attracted to each other and they flirt with each other when they see each other. Their relationship changes after Madden becomes the school resource officer and him and Donut help Mick when he's in the middle of suffering a panic attack. Madden recognizes his younger self in Mick when he was growing up with an alcoholic mother and he raised his younger brother so he really wants to help him. Becca hates feeling like she's failing Mick but together with Madden and the LSERT family they will learn how to be a family together. I loved getting to see old friends from the LSERT and MSTF series especially Caleb and Ruby who are at a crossroads in their relationship. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this beautifully written tale of overcoming your childhood trauma and how love always finds a way. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I can't wait for Caleb and Ruby's story to see what's going to happen with them. I was given an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the ninth book in this series. They can be read as standalone books but I think they are better when read in order. Madden is the newest guy on the team. He has been with the team for more than a year but still a rookie because no one else has joined. He is still feels a little like he isn't part of the team. Becca is a dispatcher, she recently gained custody of her nephew Mick after her brother went to jail. She is still figuring things out. Madden knew from the first time he saw Becca that he wanted a shot with her. This book is about how he saw he moment and jumped in with both feet. Both Madden and Becca had rough childhoods. They both want to give Mick the best childhood possible. For things to be so much easier and better for Mick than it was for them. They find a connection with how they grew up and how they deal with things because of the way they grew up. They understand each other so well. I love them as a couple and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. I so want them to have a child so they can pour their love into that child. Not that they won't love Mick the same way but it will just be different. Fantastic job Laramie. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Laramie is a fantastic author I have read most of her books and always love them.
Rebecca “Becca” White is doing her best after gaining custody of her young nephew, Mick, after his father was sent to prison. Her job as a dispatcher for the Laurel Springs Police Department wasn’t enough to cover her new expenses, but thanks to her cousin, Stephanie, they moved in together and things are finally okay. She is attracted to police officer Madden Williamson, but her life is still a bit too unstable to pursue that attraction. Madden, along with his K9 Donut, has been assigned as the school resource officer at the elementary school and he recognizes the panic issues that young Mick is dealing with. He had dealt with the same issues when he was young and caring for his younger brother, Beckett. Funds from his anonymous online workout as MadDog has made it possible to fund his brother as well as save money to purchase a home. He works to uncover a secret part of Laurel Springs history, finally faces his father who walked out on them years ago, and is there for Becca during her request for custody of Mick. A heartfelt and emotional (the letter – WOW!) romance for Madden and Becca that tugs at your heart . I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
Laramie Briscoe is back at it again with the next installment in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most of the story, but each individual book can be read as a standalone.
Madden is new to the Team and eager to prove himself, and his furry K-9 partner; Donut. A chance encounter at the local school brings Becca into his life, the missing piece he didn’t know he needed. Both Madden and Becca work for LSERT, so both are continuously busy, but when they meet their attraction is pliable. I think the connection between these two worked so well because of their mutual affection for Becca’s nephew Mick. Madden and Mick were raised by similar fathers (not so good ones) and because of this they share a deep bond.
Madden is a fast paced, found family romance with just the right touch of spice and drama for all readers to enjoy. Overall I did enjoy the story, I do wish it had a little more sustenance to it, more time to flush out the characters and a little more umpf to the beginning to get it going. Overall however, I really, really enjoy the LSERT series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
K-9 cop Madden Williamson and his awesome dog, Donut, are new to the Laurel Springs Police Department. Gaining acceptance is always a rough time but he is determined to become part of the team. Becca White is a dispatcher and has recently gotten custody of her 7-year-old nephew, Mick. When Madden is assigned to Mick’s school as a resource officer, it also brings Madden into contact with Becca. She and Madden both have gone through difficult times in their own childhood, so as they get to know each other, they know the importance of being able to offer Mick a good and stable life that will build his confidence. Practically raising his own brother when his parents weren’t fit for the job, Madden knows what issues to expect and how to help Mick deal with the tough times. Are Madden and Becca able to get past their own difficulties and start to trust each other? Their support of each other can make a huge difference in starting a stable relationship and raising a family. Will that spark between them be the beginning of something they both want to commit to? And will they stand by each other when they have to fight for what is important to all of them?
This is another great story involving the characters of Laurel Springs. Madden didn't have an easy childhood, but he worked hard for a better life and is now a rookie on the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team. He's trying to find his place on the team and in the city and his only friend is his K-9 partner, Donut. When he’s offered a job as a school resource officer, he believes he can contribute a lot to the children of the town. After her brother's arrest, Becca got custody of her nephew, Mick, and is doing her best to give him a better life, but is struggling on a daily basis. Having experienced the same problems as a child, Madden sets out to help Mick adapt to the changes, as does Becca. And the more time they spend together, the more affinity they find and the more willing they are to try to make a relationship work. I loved the story and the characters. I'm looking forward to reading more about Madden's younger brother and Becca's cousin, as well as what's happening between Ruby and Caleb. I highly recommend reading it.
you want a book you can't put down well. This is one of those. madden and Becca are something you wouldn't expect to have lives align like they do.
madden is pretty much the rookie of the group, though he's been there a bit now, but when the captain gives him a chance at something different and new, he can't be happier. and the best part is that doughnut gets all the pets a k9 can ask for and well still get to work.
Becca has been thrown into a situation she never thought she would be in working in the lesert call center and raising her brothers son. but what she wasn't expecting was him and how he can help.
you want to know how this all falls together well run don't walk and grab this book your going to love how thier story comes about. yes this is in a series but it can be read as a stand alone but the characters are all inter connected like a family. I can't wait to see whats coming up next
This is book nine in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series and it is Madden and Becca’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Madden had become the newest member of the LSERT Team in Laurel Springs and trying hard to settle in and become a part of the team along with his K-9 partner Donut and then he is given a opportunity to become the new resource officer for the local school and he sees this as a chance to make a difference but what he wasn’t expecting is for his life to change so much. Becca is a dispatcher for Laurel Springs and even though it is not her dream job but she is doing the best that she can especially as she had taken of her nephew Mick and needed to try and give him the best life possible even though it will not be easy especially after everything that Mick had been through in his life. The attraction and chemistry between Madden and Becca is so strong but they both have responsibilities, baggage, are both a bit broken, have problems with trust along with issues from there childhood and past so Madden knew and could understand just what Mick had been through and also hopefully he could somehow be able to help him get stronger and more confident while thriving in his new life and environment. Madden and Becca are so perfect together and for each other and they deserve all the happiness in the world while along with Mick they become a true family. Wow this book certainly takes you on a rollercoaster ride of so many different emotions that will have you in many tears and break your heart in the process with everything that they had all been through and it wil pull you in right from the first page and keep your attention throughout and you will be unable to put this book down because it is so addictive. Laramie Briscoe is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read more books in the future.
Laramie Briscoe did it again! It doesn't matter if you are new in this little town. You can begin your journey and find your way through stories, lives, friends and enemies. I'm absolutely sure you are going to stuck with the LSERT and the Moonshine Task Force. And here we are so many books later and I'm still looking forward for the next story!
Another hero lost, but so certain about her. Another heroine in so much trouble, but not a damsel in destress. Strong characters who find their way through darkness, find each other, and a unique support system of friends and family building their lives together!
He is her beacon of warmth and strength. She is the oxygen he needs to keep going. A safe haven for both of them and an abused child fulfilling their need to care for someone and offer unlimited and unconditional love.

From the time they were children, both Madden and Becca had everything going against them becoming successful adults. But instead, they’re living good lives in spite of the challenges they’ve already faced. Now they may be facing their greatest challenge of all: convincing each other that their very best life could be together. And saving the life and sanity of Becca’s young nephew while they’re at it. I fell in love with this pair right from the start. Becca fully embodied the fierce momma-bear energy necessary to care for her nephew. Madden wanted to be their knight in shining K-9 handler uniform, and I’d say he did an amazing job of that. I adored the little family they made, and I desperately wish the book weren’t over already. However, I’m itching to get my hands on the next one to find out what’s going on with one of my favorite past pairings. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author through Buoni Amici Press.
Never read a book by this author that I haven't enjoyed. This book involves two strong characters, each with baggage of a poor childhood and determined to make a good future. Guilt and shame hangs heavy at times, but Becca is managing despite the difficulties. Her decisions over caring for her nephew are fraught with doubt. Madden has his own secrets and driven to succeed, despite his upbringing. His attraction to her also encompasses the needs of Mick, encouraged with help of Donut, his K9. Becca learns his most important secret, but at the moment no-one else knows, and the ladies circle are unaware the Mad dog, the person they watch and drool over is close by. He knows them and all their comments on his site. Loved how he offered to stop his workout for dating Becca. This couple are perfect for each other and life in Laurel Springs is working out well for them.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Two people who have been damaged by family have a spark. A very engaging romance book. Madden has been there a year but is still treated as the rookie. But then he is offered the School Resource Officer and things change for him. A sad eye boy at school and his hot Aunt burrow in his heart. Becca gave up her dreams when she takes in her nephew. She is crushing on Madden and a guy on the internet motivates her to be more healthy. Becca's nephew's Dad, her brother is unwilling to give up his rights as a parent, even if it would give Becca rights for his medical needs. So selfish.
Madden's dog helps her nephew talk about his bad childhood. At the school in the basement history is found. So interesting.
In the darkest times can love come through?
I can not believe Ruby's comment on the guy video. That is so crossing a line. I do not care how bad your marriage is.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Madden has made himself a great life despite his upbringing, but he still feels like a bit of an outsider within the team. He has this amazing dog Donut who has his back though, and man I LOVED me some Donut. Becca has custody of her nephew as her brother is behind bars, and while she wouldn't trade it since her sweet nephew has gone through a lot with his parents, it's still a struggle for them. Things take a turn when Madden starts to bond with her nephew as he had all the feelings for the withdrawn little boy, and Donut was a hit with that tiny human as well. He's drawn to Becca, and she is drawn to him as well so the sparks are flying & they get closer & closer. They're perfect for each other so maybe just maybe they'll build the perfect world with each other with & her nephew but I'll never tell! I LOVED this story so much & I truly believe I won't be alone since this is a wonderful world to spend time in! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the 9th installment of the LSERT series. Sometimes a series can drag on and lose readers along the way. However, this is not the case with Ms. Briscoe's books. As usual, her books keep us wanting to learn more about current, past and future characters mentioned.
Who doesn't love a hottie like Madden (and his sidekick, Donut)? Add in his attraction to Becca, the Laurel Springs dispatcher, who has enough baggage to rival Madden's. Both characters have a less than perfect childhood. Madden and Becca have the hots for each other, but on top of navigating all those feels, there is also the 7 yr old nephew Mick that Becca is raising.
Their journey to happiness won't be easy with everything they have to overcome. But with each other to lean on, their happiness together might just be within grasp. Happily ever after is no longer just a pipe dream.
I’m excited to be backing in Laurel Springs and Madden does not disappoint. Laramie Briscoe has created real characters that both had hard childhoods. Parents that should never have had children.
Madden is now a member of Laurel Springs PD along with Donut, his K-9 partner, and Becca works as a dispatcher. Becca has recently been responsible for her nephew Mick after her brother’s conviction.
Becca is unsure how to care and provide for an 8 year old boy. Money is tight and she fears that she’s doing more harm than good for Mick. Madden is now the SRO at the elementary school where he helps Mick with a panic attack. He sees himself in Mick and wants to help. It won’t hurt that he is interested in Becca.
Becca and Madden do all they can to help Mick and may even heal each other. Madden is my new favorite. You’ll enjoy this book.
Madden is the next installment and book 9 in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team written by the talented author Laramie Briscoe. They can be read as standalone books but I recommend that you read them in order. Rebecca “Becca” White & Madden Williamson story is amazing. Madden is the newest guy on the Laurel Springs Police Department with his K-9 dog Donut. Becca is a dispatcher on the Laurel Springs Police Department and has custody of her young nephew, Mick, after his father was sent to prison. The story line is fast pace with a couple of tropes like; found family, small town, German Sheppard hero, awesome characters, all the feels, romance and a Happily Ever After! I don't want to ruin anything but if you are looking for a book that will break you and put you back together, this is the one.
Wonderful story! May beat out Menace as my favorite so far, but just barely.
Madden is hot, sexy, sweet, and caring and I loved him. Becca is strong, beautiful, both inside and out. I love that these two found each other and were able to find common ground. I loved Madden's ability to connect with Mick and bring him out of his shell. Becca does the best she can with what she knows and what she has, but there's something missing for both Becca and Mitch.
I love the characters in this story and as always the characters of the LSERT over all. I love how the story goes back in time and gives us a look into the past of Laurel Springs and bootlegging. The trouble brewing in Ruby and Caleb's marriage was a kicker and I am anxious for Redemption. I love these characters and always love reading about them.
This is book nine in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team (LSERT) series and focuses on Madden, the rookie and K-9 officer, who although he’d been there for at least a year, was still the newest hire and Becca, the young dispatcher who had been awarded custody of her nephew when her brother was arrested.
Madden and Becca were proof that good things happened to those who wait. They had each had a rough childhood and were determined that wouldn’t happen to Mick, her nephew.
I loved the interactions between the two. Madden was so sweet and protective, not only of Becca but also Mick who he’d noticed struggling with panic attacks.
This was another excellent addition to the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team and more than worth a read. 4.5 Stars!.

Madden is hot AF and so good! Becca is a gorgeous human being with a beautiful heart and soul. I love how imperfectly perfect she is—from her relationships with her cousin and nephew to her coworkers and peers. Madden is equally stunning in his own right—building something from nothing and raising his younger brother along the way. They are so amazing together, and I love and adore how they grab on with both hands and embrace the awesome despite their fears and pasts. The tragic circumstances that Mick has endured, coupled with the mystery around the school and the intense side plots with Becca’s brother all weave together smoothly in a highly charged love story with all the feels and then some! I just love this world, and it keeps getting better with each and every book in this series.

Becca an aunt turned into an overnight mom. All of a sudden, her life is turned upside down, when she becomes her nephew's guardian. She's in the thick of it, when she discovers a super sexy workout influencer on the Tok. Suddenly her life takes a turn for the better, in the most unexpected way. Madden, new to town, new to the force and trying to pursue his dreams. Him and his trusty K-9, Donut, make a solid connection with Becca and her nephew Mick. Those two, are the missing pieces of his puzzle. But will Becca still want a possible future with him, once she learns his secret? Great read, wonderful characters. Love a new generation of Laurel Springs characters, while still mentioning the originals and catching glimpses of what they are up. Cannot wait for the continuation of Caleb and Ruby's story.
✨ARC Review ✨ I absolutely loved this book by Laramie Briscoe. I just love the family feel and camaraderie between all the characters. Plus who doesn’t love a book that stars a cute as can be K9?! This story follows the relationship between Becca and Madden. Becca is the cute new dispatcher that has just gained custody of her nephew Mick. Mick is going through some stuff emotionally but he begins to overcome it with his new pals, Madden and Donut. Madden is the new K9 officer that eventually becomes the school resource officer. Imagine what happens when Becca notices that her internet crush has a striking resemblance to the school resource officer! Read on to see what craziness unfolds in this ADORABLY cute book!!
Book Rating: 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice rating: 3/5🌶️🌶️🌶️
