Sergeant Nicole All I wanted to do was ride out the last year of my enlistment and go back to being a civilian again. I had served four of my five years and was done with the never-ending dominant male authority in each command I served under. I had transferred to a new command where I caught the attention of my commanding officer, Colonel Riley Lang. Now, he had plans for how I should spend my last year, and I couldn’t say no as he had ordered me not to disobey him. Colonel Riley I thought I was doing Sergeant Massey a favor by pulling her away from infantry and putting her on desk duty. She didn’t seem to be enjoying her time spent as a grunt and I needed someone to replace my secretary who had transferred. The moment she reported for duty, I knew I had made a mistake. I had never lusted over anyone under my command, but the way she fought to hold her tongue and hearing her call me sir stirred the dominant in me. She had a year left in her enlistment. I would make it a year she’d remember — especially if I ordered her to.Publisher’s His Orders is a forbidden military romance about a hot, older man with a penchant for dominating his sexy, younger woman that leads into some very steamy scenes that will leave you hot and bothered. It is a stand-alone. No Cliff hangers. No cheating. And it is a guaranteed happily ever after! It is also a full-length novel.
J. Raven had spent most of her life traveling around the US or abroad. Along her travels she brought along a book or two to occupy her time between destinations. Now that she isn’t traveling as much anymore, she spends her time writing in almost all genres or gardening or baking at her quiet little home in the country.
This could have been soo good!! Like as I started reading it I genuinely thought it was going to be a 4⭐️ read!
But what completely ruined it for me was the way when going from one MCs POV crossed over to the other they just kept recapping the whole previous scene. It became so monotonous and frustrating. it completely ruined the whole flow of the whole book!!
it became so frustrating that i kept wanting to throw my kindle across the room!! it made me want to DNF so many times and the only reason why i didnt was because it was so short.
its really such a shame as otherwise this could have been really really good!
In how many ways can you make the same couple have sex and keep it interesting? This author can do it a thousand times and add a thousand more. As soon as the sex becomes a bit repetitive, the writer leads the reader to learn new things about the characters.
The language is easy to read, and the descriptions are magnificent. I admire how the writer creates sizzling tension and conflict. The main characters have several layers, and there is a firework of energy between them.
I thoroughly wolfed down this erotic tale between a commanding officer and his female sergeant. I recommend this novel if you like the army naughty and ready to roll.
The characters earn the happy ending because before the story is over a severe turmoil arises, and everything is at stake. But real love conquers all.
I couldn't put this book down until I reached the last line. I skipped everything else today, even eating.

About this Reader:
I have few triggers. My favorite genre is Fantasy Romance. I prefer books with lower spice levels and plot heavy. I love a book thats action-packed with strong characters. Give me war, magic, kingdoms, courts, political intrigue, witty banter, etc. and I’m a happy reader!
It may not be for everyone due to the sexual abuse/attack but it was fine for me. I have never suffered like a lot of women in that area. The story was a lot like what goes on in the military but I know the armed forces are continually making progress. I liked this book very much
Although it started out with more sex scenes & less story lines it soon caught up. It kept you on your toes wanting to read more in anticipation of a HEA. Did not think the author would destroy this blooming love with tragedy & happy to see the end results. Recommend this to those looking for military, love, last, angst and HEA. (Reviewed by Lin)
As a military brat I spent a lot of years on military bases and there is nothing sexier than a man in uniform. This story had the perfeft amount of spice, structure, protocol, and forbidden behaviors. An officer, and a gentleman, who knows how to give orders is precisely what every defiant submissive girl needs. Yes, Sir!
