Wow, that was something. I loved it. With all of us facing a future with AI technology you have to wonder what will eventually happen. The world of the future is going to face a lot of challenges.

Moondrop Vale envisions one such future. In this future the Old United States are basically run by a corporation called Gobi. They have modified everything from food, humans and robots. Within all this craziness is Moondrop Vale.

This story is more than just a Sci-Fi it’s a sweet love story. Henry and Simon have both had very hard lives up until they find each other. I can’t wait to check out other books by Mondo Grey.

I want to thank one of my friends on Goodreads for helping me discover a new author and a fun read.

Really great story sci-fi story, interesting plot, Nando Gray does a wonderful job with the world building.

The main characters Henry and Simon were well written. Henry has insecurities about himself. He was part of a government experiment leaving him with enhanced abilities. Henry gets an expected inheritance, relocates and ends up meeting Simon. Simon was more of the quite type of person. His brother was hilarious though.

The pacing went well. There were some parts that were a bit confusing or could have used more elaboration. Some small plot holes. I would have loved to know more about the experiments. There's also a wolf involved. Without going into spoilers, knowing how this wolf and Henry had this connection. Moreso, what's the backstory with the wolf? Overall it was a great story. I hope there's another book the gives more details about Henry and/or the wolf. Nando Gray I need to know the deal with the wolf! lol.

There's a lot that can be done with the series, especially with the incredible world building.

Nando Gray's Moondrop Vale is more than just a cautionary dystopian tale about A.I./robots turning against humanity wrapped in a gay love story. It explores the moral implications of how humans can dehumanize each other through the manipulation of science and technology. The story delves into the idea that self-serving individuals can easily corrupt technologies, even those created with benign or protective intentions, and use them to harm and control others.

The novella takes its main characters, Henry and Simon, on a profound journey of self-discovery as they undergo significant emotional and psychological growth (even physical, but that's a whole other thing!), individually and as a couple. The author candidly portrays irrational behaviour in otherwise intelligent characters, challenging the reader's suspension of disbelief in relation to what would be sensible decision-making and actions for the sake of the overarching narrative.

And as this is a gay romance set in a science-fiction medium, there is, of course, sex, and both that and the romance depictions are evocatively articulated and passionate. Highly recommend.

Revenge and A I. What a wild and crazy ride. Just what I needed to break up my day! This was an engrossing read. I was losing hope for humanity , especially Henry, Simon , and Trent. Greed and power were the order of the day. As it should be, greed destroys itself. I have to admit I Lmao in chapter 29.

It felt great to laugh and have hope again. The twin's mom resonated with me. She just keeps going and doing regardless of conditions. A typical mom in many ways. This was a sample of A I going wrong , lethally wrong. Once again Mr. Gray has created a temporary respite from everyday worries, and he's given us a whole new set of things to ponder and query. Intriguing. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.

This book is absolutely amazing. Quite a few of the very best elements of fiction shape this exceptionally imaginative story: sci-fi, good versus evil, justice, greed, beauty, violence, and true love. Henry and Simon share a remarkable bond, and the supporting cast of characters are impressive in scope and detail. Romeo and Beans are great additions to the story, too. Well written and engaging on every level, I couldn’t pull myself away from this story until I’d turned the last page. Oh, my, what an incredible adventure this one is! This author is uniquely talented in his storytelling.

Moondrop Vale is an interesting read. It takes the “Robots gone bad” idea and tries to explore the reason behind such actions. The world Nando Gray created is full of opportunities for other stories and ideas that I can’t wait to explore further. The opening scene really got my attention and held it for the rest of the story. The life Henry had to endure was heartbreaking and made him someone to root for. The twist in the story was executed is a good way. The story did get convoluted in spots due to the number of characters to keep track of but all in all a good read that I highly recommend. The most dullest and boring book I have ever read. I do not recommend at all.
