Three months ago, Andy was a respected security analyst for a top bank in New York City. Now, he is the head of cyber crime for the New York Mafia and at the top of the FBI's most-wanted list.
After a harmless hacking prank with his childhood friend, Andy gained notoriety with the local crime family who began employing him for his cybersecurity talent. He never realized that once you enter the life of crime, you will not be allowed out, forcing him to engineer one insurmountable criminal heist after another.
Andy has only his ingenuity, determination, and considerable hacking talent to satisfy the increasing demands of his new employers while staying one step ahead of the tenacious agents who will stop at nothing to put him behind bars. Will his technical prowess be enough to overcome the seemingly impossible odds? Or will he lose everything and everyone he loves?
This book is like if “Catch Me If You Can” and “Goodfellas” had a nerdy baby! I felt like I learned a lot about cyber crime/hacking but the information didn’t slow down the plot - definitely a tricky balance to get right. Read this at the beach this summer!
Really enjoyed reading this book! It had a fast-moving plot that kept me turning the pages instead of going to bed. I was initially worried that it would be too technical for me as I don't have any background in computers, but the author did a great job of writing the hacking portions in a way that even a lay-person like me could understand. It was a fun way to pick up some new bits of knowledge!
Very fun and easy read that balances an informative and technical aspect. The storyline captivates you doesn’t let you put the book down. The stories are structured very well to discuss different famous hacks and in a way that you can nearly pull your computer out and follow along! Crazy!
