well damn was i disappointed the weather fairies sort of suck, i can’t lie i gave one star for the gay friendship of rachel and kirsty, one star for the goblins, and one star for the nostalgia
Second set in the fairy books. This is in the following school holidays. Rachel comes to stay with Kirsty in the village of Wetherbury. Jack Frost's goblins have stolen the tail weathers from Fairyland's weather-vane rooster and are making weather chaos in Fairyland and the village.
Miss 4 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.
I would have absolutely loved this series when I was little. It has mystery, magic, danger, adventure and friendship all rolled into one. A great juvenile fiction series.
I am reading these for a Rainbow Magic nostalgia book club and had a great time! Averaged out the ratings, but Pearl is deffo the best book, and Evie the worst.
These books were so magical to me as a child. They really got me into reading and I was so addicted. They helped me learn the colours of the rainbow and entertained me for several years. The books aren't very good. I've tried reading them again because I was interested in what I saw in them. The books are very similar and repetitive but to child version of me, they were completely perfect!
We are currently reading Daisy Meadows' Rainbow Fairy books with our daughter, Leah. It is interesting watching her get into the story elements through these simple stories. More than anything I think she likes the whimsical illustrations and sits in her room by herself and tells the stories from them. She is definitely making great predictions now.
