Jessa Monroe is a survivor. She’s survived heartbreak, a difficult childhood, and her mama’s maniac boyfriend. What she isn’t sure she can survive is Beau Gamble walking back into her life.
Beau left Jessa because he loved her. At the time, it was the only way to keep her safe. But when they reunite, he realizes he left her unprotected during the worst moment of her life.
All he can is do is try to break through Jessa’s walls so he can be with her again—back where he belongs. But Jessa can’t trust that Beau won’t walk away as he did once before. To protect her heart, she’s built tall and strong walls around it. Beau is determined to prove he’s here to stay and that he never stopped loving her. He knows that she is meant to be his first, last, and only love.

This is a wonderful story of a lost love rekindled. The time jumps into Jessa and Beau’s past gave you a deeper glimpse into their trauma as well as their growing love for one another. This book was definitely a page turner especially with the twists and turns in the MCs relationship.
Love, love, love! Quite honestly, this is officially one of my favourite reads of the year. The story follows a second chance romance between Beau and Jessa. The back story is compelling and reeled me straight in, keeping me up half the night so I could finish the book in one go! The character development on page is heartrending and seeing how their relationship developed both in the past and now made me cry multiple times. The story is emotional and covers difficult topics, but is so well written that the story flowed beautifully. I would definitely recommend this book for those readers who like an emotional read, a happy ever after, and like a soulmate type romance.
Beau Gamble…I don’t have the words. I fell fast for Cain in Moving Forward, but Beau just swooped right in there too. His love for Jessa is all consuming and never-ending. Jessa seems timid and shy, but she is the strongest character of all. He needs someone to love and she needs someone to keep her safe. Their happiness was a long time coming but their love is timeless.
