Half Souls is a vivid and highly descriptive, poignant memoir by a former journalist who spent decades chronicling her own back story behind the front page of her life. The memoir includes the behind-the-scenes and before and after story of her nationally syndicated newspaper series titled "Survival at Sea" which was among the Pulitzer nominations of 1979. A descendant of Joseph Mohr who wrote the words to the Christmas carol "Silent Night," Corbett brings her poetic, literary genes to the modern generation with the hope of encouraging and inspiring others to put their life stories to paper and leave behind a legacy of words.
This book was great. This story has real life situations that Mary Ellen Corbett was a part of and she is a Phenonenal writer. She makes you feel like the story comes alive.
