this was sweet. which is how i feel about all of the books in this series. they're all comforting, relatively low angst, and great to listen to on audio. i wasn't blown away by the connection of the couple, but i also didn't think they were incompatible.

- This was probably my least favorite book of the series, but not because it wasn’t a great book but it felt so different from the first two books. I went into this story expecting a cutesy fluffy read and it definitely was a much heavier story than expected. Still great, but I think it was just right book wrong time.
- The way grief was portrayed in this story felt so spot on. Loved reading about your journey with grief can really change the way you move through life.
- Would recommend this if you’re looking for a fun time with deeper themes throughout the story!

The Love Lyric is a single mom x celebrity romance full of chemistry, healthy communication, and so much love! The story follows Iris, a senior marketer for a cosmetics business, and Angel, a pop R&B artist who just joined Iris's company as a brand ambassador. This romance was so sweet and gentle, I loved how Iris and Angel cared for each other and were willing to go the extra mile. Angel was completely enamored with her and it was so cute how he was always trying to better understand Iris and become someone important in her life. The sweet and tender moments added up to make such a charming story that balanced the sparks of grief and uncertainty so well!

This book was so good, this series ended with such a beautiful romance. I love how every book in this series has gotten even better. Iris the fmc is a makeup and skincare marketer who is also a single mother. Angel the mmc is a popular musician whose stylist Violet(her book is the second in the series) is Iris's sister. They meet and Angel is instantly drawn to Iris despite Iris not wanting to date because of her late husband. I loved the pop star, and musician plot and the forced proximity when they both had to work together. I also really liked the side plot with Angel, his faith, and his mother, and his it was navigated in the book. The romance in this book was so sweet it was like a warm hug, it's steamy but I think the characters were perfect and gentle for each other. I like how the author handled the FMC's grief and family scenes and overall this was a well-written and lovely romance. Thank you Berkley for this arc!

I'll be honest. I haven't read THE NEIGHBOR FAVOR or THE PARTNER PLOT, but now I want to. Violet's character had me in a chokehold.
Single moms get so much hate. I love this trope. I love Iris' strength. I love Calla. I love their whole family. I love that Angel is slightly younger. (I hate that Angel's name is Angel, but that's a personal problem as my younger sibling's name is Angel. It is what it is.)
This is steamy. It's fast. I believe in instant gratification. It's delightful. It's everything I wanted for both Black History Month and Valentine's Day. I started this on the plane back from Bangkok and just finished it today. Not that I didn't want to finish it faster. Life is just getting in the way.

i’m disappointed by this :( i hadn’t read the previous books in the series but seen good things, and it just feels like these characters didn’t have any real chemistry. for a book surrounded grief and love after loss, it could’ve been so much deeper and it just…was not?

I love this book and series so much! I'm so sad that it's over now. Iris and Angel's story was so sweet. Angel was so enduring and he's definitely one of my new favorite MMCs of the entire series He was so obsessed with Iris, but not in a way that's uncomfortable and overbearing. He just really wanted to get to know her and was so understanding of her concerns. And then we have Iris, the working woman and single mom trying to keep everyone together after all the years while navigating her own grief. I could definitely understand her concerns with being involved with Angel, but I loved how she let loose a lot more with him. They were able to just be who they truly are together.They were so much fun to read.
I know that this is Kristina Forest's first adult romance series and I really enjoyed all three books, but what I loved the most is the growth in the way she tells each sister's story. The series was good from the jump, but it just kept getting better and better. I'm not one to determine if a book is good based on how relatable it is, but I'm definitely gonna hold this series close to me because I feel like I see myself in each sister and I really cherish their stories. At this point I feel like they’re my sisters too. Well done!

To be honest, I listened to this just to finish the series. I didn't like it any better than the past two, but, like them, it wasn't bad. The music aspect certainly helped, though I wish the story had a bit more depth.

3.5-4⭐️ R&B singer Angel Harrison has it all - almost. When he takes a campaign as a beauty brand ambassador for an up-and-coming company, he is shocked and delighted to discover the account is run by Iris Greene, a woman with whom he has a long-standing crush.
I have really enjoyed this series as a whole. An only child myself, I tend to gravitate towards stories featuring siblings and found families, and the Greene Sisters offers it in droves. I love how unique each of the sisters is, and how each shines independently in their own right.
Iris is a very strong MC, having survived the loss of her husband to become a single mom to Calla, and alongside that, a very successful beauty exec. Angel is her perfect match in every way, seeking only to uplift her. And while this book is a little heavier given the aspect of grief, it still features that sweet and spicy rom-com element Kristina Forest is so great at.
My only criticism is that the entire time I was reading this book, I felt like I had already read something very similar and not that long ago, creating a strong sense of déjà vu. However, I have yet to be able to pinpoint the exact novel, so perhaps this is a “me”thing.
🎧 This is terrific on audio, helmed by J. Shani Michaels and Ian Hackney. I highly recommend this entire series on audio if you are an audiobook lover like myself.

i'm not sure how i can rate this any higher when i skimmed the last 70 pages. i was really feeling this book when i started it but it just fell flat for me around the middle and didn't get worse but also didn't get better.
iris was a very mechanical character and felt one dimensional. she didn't have a personality. some characters come alive and others are simply written, and iris was just a description of words that truly meant nothing to me. she had a daughter, allegedly, and that daughter was barely in the book. it wasn't until 250 pages in the book where they were finally! FINALLY! going to have a girls night, but conveniently, iris's mom wanted to take her somewhere with her, leaving iris to spend a night with angel. she barely spoke to her (in a 370 page book). she barely thinks about her. and the grief about her deceased husband is also just... hardly mentioned. i was hoping for something a little deeper and emotional.
angel was sweet but he was also just... there. truthfully i didn't feel their connection at all. i felt like there was hardly any moments of conversation between him and iris for them to even like each other.
the side characters were all meh. none of them came alive for me. the sisters didn't feel like sisters at all. the whole story just felt weirdly clinical.
this was still a sweet story. a little long for the lack of stuff that happens, but it is cute.

Of the series, I think this might be my second fav to Neighbor Favor, but I'm not sure. The series as a whole has a lot of potential to be re-read and enjoyed again. In particular, I really enjoyed winding down in the evening with this book. Reading in low light and low music with my napping kitty cat. It was nice :)

The Love Lyric is the 3rd book in the Greene Sisters series and this was so cute! I loved The Neighbor Favor in this series and was excited to see this story play out. We followed a widowed, single mom heroine and a successful R&B singer hero!
Iris is a beauty corporate executive, on top of being a single mom to her daughter. Angel is a super successful R&B singer who is the new celeb brand ambassador for the company she works at. Their pairing felt so natural and real, and I loved how he falls first! He’s just a little bit younger than her (he’s 29, she’s 32). And I loved how he is inspired by her to write songs about her. We get to see their cute texts to one another about their days and I just loved how much they want to get to know one another on a real level (their likes, histories, favorites, etc).

I love these sisters so much and am so sad to see their stories come to an end with this, the 3rd and final book in the series. It does stand on its own but I loved being able to reconnect with the sisters from books 1 and 3.
Iris was probably the most complex of the sisters, navigating her life as a single mom, which added a level of complexity and messiness that made it seem that much more real.
Well done Kristina Forest, can't wait to see what you write next.

The Love Lyric was a swoony, slow-burning romance that hit all the right notes. Kristina Forest delivered a heartfelt story about second chances, balancing career and love, and the beautiful messiness of real life.
Iris was such a compelling heroine—strong, driven, and carrying the weight of her past with grace. Watching her slowly let her guard down with Angel, the charming and secretly sentimental R&B star, was both tender and electric. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the tension between professionalism and passion made every interaction sizzle. And Calla? An absolute scene-stealer with the perfect amount of sass and heart.
The pacing dragged slightly at times and I felt like the will-they-won't-they got a bit repetitive. But the emotional beats still landed beautifully, and the ending left me with the kind of warmth only a perfectly composed love song can bring.
A heartfelt, grown-up romance about timing, vulnerability, and finding harmony in love—Iris and Angel’s story was one I’d happily play on repeat.

ever since iris and angel interacted in the earlier books, i’ve been thinking about their story. i am not a big fan of romance books where one main character has lost a spouse so it took me a bit to get into this one. thankfully i love the greene sisters, so this ended up working pretty well for me!
iris is very busy with work, motherhood, and just life. she hasn’t been dating since she lost her husband so when angel comes into the picture she is kinda disbelieving of his interest, maybe distrusting. but we know that angel has been enamored with iris since their first meeting. work pushes them together and angel writes a couple songs about her, boom they’re happy and in love!!! i really enjoyed the softness of this love, it felt like two people who actually connected despite their different lifestyles.
since iris is a mom, i do wish we saw calla more. we got
one scene of angel interacting with her but seeing the three of them bond as a family could’ve been cute. i think just didn’t connect to the characters which is why this isn’t a four. the story as a whole wad well written and sweet but i just was along for the ride.

I wasn't sure about this one being a hit for me at the start but god it was so cute 🥹 I really liked this author writing. I just realized that this is the last book in a series, so I am definitely picking up the previous ones.
If you love portrayal of grief in romance books like I do, you might enjoy this a lot. The FMC is a widow and a single mom and the sorry basically surrounds her finding love again with a famous musician. It's was swoony and it felt like a warm hug.
I had a few issues with it (maybe I would've liked to see more scenes between Iris and her daughter and maybe more pining from Angel. Their constant "I want but I shouldn't" situation was driving me crazy but by the end, the slow but was worth it) but overall it was a precious book. He wrote a song about her and it became an instant hit, like hello??? 😭 also, this is for the eldest daughters!!!

This was the best out of the trilogy. Loved the depth here. Though it had depth, the conversations were light enough that it didn't overwhelm the story.

Iris is a strong, independent single mom, that I really enjoyed hanging out with.

Angel & Iris have a progression to friendship before all the kissing starts and that is one of my favourite things. Either they gotta know nothing about each other or they need a connection for me.
Loved watching them build a friendship and tear down emotional walls.

I'm definitely in the minority with this one.
I loved The Neighbor Favor. It was a sexy and fun read. Book 2 The Partner Plot was a real letdown. It was boring and I barely remember anything about it. Despite not enjoying book 2 I was really looking forward to The Love Lyric.
I'm afraid I have to say that I didn't enjoy this book. Nothing happens and I didn't feel any chemistry between Angel and Iris. We are told repeatedly how in love they are but I never felt it.
This book was miss for me. If we get a book 4 I'll probably read that because I want to love this series. Don't let me keep you from reading this book because I'm in the minority. You might enjoy it.

4.5/5! This was such a sweet, wholesome romance. Two characters who are very likeable, good, and loving towards each other. If you like celebrity or small town romances, I think you’d like this one! Would definitely recommend as a palate cleanser or an in between “tough” reads! Overall, I really loved the Greene sister series!

The final installment of the Greene sisters. I’ve beeeen waiting for Iris’s story because I knew it would be so good.
Iris is a single mother working as a skincare marketer & also a widow. She meets Angel a popular musician & baby he was obsessed with Iris (in a good way) ! This story was just so sweet with a little bit of steam.
I love Kristan Frost down because these books have gotten better watch Time & I’m sad it’s ending.

I loved Iris & Angels story! A single mom still moving through her grief finally meets someone to make her smile…but it’s never that simple. This book was a beautiful conclusion of the Greene sisters.
