As with the previous volumes of True Crime Case Histories, I use this introduction space as a quick word of warning. The stories in this book represent humanity at its absolute worst. Pure evil. Television crime shows and news articles often skip the messy parts of true crime stories. The details are just too much for the average viewer or reader.
In my books, however, I don’t leave out the details. I go through hours of research for each story. I search through old newspaper articles, court documents, first-hand descriptions, and autopsy reports. In my books I include details not to shock, but to give the reader a deeper look into the twisted mind of the killer. In the end, it’s unlikely any of us will understand the motive of the criminals in these books, but the level of depravity will at least keep you turning pages.
That being said, if you are overly squeamish with the details of true crime, this book may not be for you. If you’re okay with it… then let’s proceed.
Volume 6 features: longer stories, more photos, a bonus chapter, and an online appendix with additional photos, videos, and documents.

Another fantastic true crime installment from Jason Neal. Another 12 cases that I'd never heard of written in an engaging way.

This is true crime, so I find it hard to rate as you are dealing with fact , but as true crime books/ audio books go these are my favourite. Lots of stories I’ve never heard before and trust me, I know a lot about true crime-serial killers. These also don’t gloss over any of the details which I personally like as I like to know everything that happened and have all the facts. Enjoying the whole volumes and will get started on the next.

This is the first book I have read by Jason Neal. I found that the book is well-written and well-researched. Jason writes original story’s that I have never read before, and the short stories were extremely informative. I read mostly true crime books so a nice change reading a book on story’s I had never heard about. Several of Jason’s stories involve children, and it is always disturbing to read of a child suffering at the horror of the hands of these human monsters.
I think Jason Neal is a fantastic writer and his stories are not about the usual serial killers, which I loved. I cannot wait to read more of Jason’s books. This book is definitely a real page turner. Believe me, this book will not disappoint if you are a fan of true crime but not for the faint hearted as Jason does not skip over the details no matter how disturbing they may be. I will defiantly read more books by this author.

In diesem Buch bekommt man 12 True Crime Storys zu lesen. Die allesamt Schockierend und grausam sind. Außerdem gibt es eine Bonusstory, auch dieser Fall war erschütternd.
Man bekommt einen Einblick in die teilweise abartige Psyche des Menschen.
Das Buch bekommt einen Stern Abzug, aufgrund stellenweiser Fehler. Besonders aufgefallen ist mir dies im Schlusswort. Dort bedankt sich der Autor für das Lesen des vierten Bandes, auf dem Cover steht aber Band 6.
Sonst konnte mich das Buch gut unterhalten und es hat mal wieder gezeigt, wie grausam manche Menschen sein können.
Alles in allem gibt es vier Sterne für das Buch.

Slayed Me
Jason Neal slayed me with his 6th Volume of True Crime Case Histories. I don't know how I missed that this had been released back on February 7th 2021. Okay I've been reading a lot and watching the new seasons of various true crime TV programs. So anyway I finally got around to reading this book full of true crime often better than those TV programs.
The killers in the book were mean, cruel, and remorseless. Their crimes were gruesome and heinous. Their ages and locations varied but their violent actions were over the top.
Two of the stories I'd read before by other authors but Mr Neal added details I'd never heard before. His manner of writing has continued to improve exponentially and I was enjoy how he handles each story. He paints a picture clear enough that you can imagine what his words are visualizing for you.
As the author warns be careful of what you read. You will find brutality, injustices, gruesome crimes, and crime scenes. If this is a trigger for you do not read this book. If you are a true crime fan you'll enjoy it.

The Perpetrators Described Here Should Have Received the Ultimate Punishment
Reading these True Crime Stories, I am convinced that all of these Sub-humans should receive the same treatment that they administered to their victims. The Williams never see the light of day and hopefully they will be shanked in prison.

This is definitely the darkest one yet in my opinion. It was super gruesome, and very challenging and difficult to read in several different chapters. I’m not great with gore, but I still found it morbidly fascinating. I’m sad this is the last in his currently published series, I really enjoy his writing style.

Terrific TC anthology series
The cases the author chooses to cover in this series are more obscure and deal with crimes in different countries and eras making for compelling reading. If you like Robert Keller or Les MacDonald you will probably love this series. The color pictures are an added bonus. On to book seven!

True crime case histories by Jason Neal
This book is an interesting collection of truly horrible crimes against humanity. The reader is given a warning of the content before reading, which I’m sure those with queasy stomachs would appreciate. The writing style is open, direct and easy to read/understand. I would recommend this book to all those true crime junkies amongst us.

Pure Evil
It amazes me what people are capable of doing to each other. The stories in this volume are horrible and evil but everyone I read teaches me something new. I pray that we do not see another killer like, Bundy, Ridgeway, Dahmer... again, but a person with a smaller body count is just as ugly and evil. They just got caught earlier.

Good unbiased reporting. Easy to read. I enijoy Jason Neal's books. Jason offers a variety of stories, places and characters to keep you looking forward to the next book.

I couldn't put this book down. It featured crimes from different eras and locales. I read a lot of true crime stories and discovered that I had never heard of most of the cases featured in this book. I will warn the reader that some of the cases are very disturbing, especially those dealing with body mutilation and dismemberment. I highly recommend this book to other true crime readers.

Quick and easy-to-breeze-through summaries of 12 different true crime cases. Graphic in detail, as they are discussing some disturbing crimes, but still worth a read for those that enjoy true crime.

I HAD READ OR SEEN MOST OF THE STORIES IN THIS ONE. THE THING THAT MADE THIS STILL WORTH READING WAS NEW DETAILS THAT THE STORIES HAD. IT WAS VERY DETAILED (even though) AND HORRIFIC READING. NOT FOR HE SQUIMISH. ;D

The stories were interesting and some were very sad to read.
One story actually took place about 1/2 an hour drive from
us. Neither my husband nor myself could remember hearing
about the crime.

Depravity
The stories in this book bring to light the darkness that exists in the minds of some people. The book may be a bit disturbing but serves to remind us to be cautious. Interesting reading. I did note some grammatical and editing errors.

No me ha gustado nada de nada.
Son relatos cortos, no se profundiza nada y no se vive la historia. No te da tiempo a nada.
Además las historias son muy truculentas y casi siempre con violaciones, lo que lo hace más desagradable.
Recomiendo no leerlo.

True Crime Histories - Volume 6 is a great read
I like the choice of stories by the author? and the fact that they were well written. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading true crime stories.

Much the same as the others I've read so far in the series. These are very short, basically descriptions, of various crimes. Neal includes a wide array of stories in this and the others which is much appreciated!

Lome many of his other books in this group, Jason was able to introduce me to new stories I new nothing about. Will definitely be watching for more.

I find it hard to rate this as a good book because of the content, but It is very well written and in the end all ‘bad’ people get caught. So sorry for the families who have had loved ones murdered.

not my cup of tea
Just didn’t find these stories very compelling. The underlying stories are interesting but I didn’t find the summaries to be done in a way that held my interest.
