As Jasmine embarks on a thrilling quest to the remote mountains of Tibet, she must learn to trust her intuition and harness her untamed abilities to locate the long-lost Kra-ell royal twins.
Dark Witch: Twin Destinies, Book 84 of the Children of the Gods series by Isabell Lucas @itlucas_author - You must read this series in order from book 1!
This is the 2nd book about Jasmin. I loved this book about Jasmine! However, I am really confused if Edgar is her mate or if it is the Kra-Ell Prince that has been found. 🤣 If you like MF, confusing love interest, PNR, & contemporary, this is the book to read after you read the series!
I received this #ARCBook early and I am freely leaving my honest review.
I'm just not a fan of Jasmine I can't pinpoint why I just don't like here overall character I know she probably is but here is to hoping she isn't a dormant and I hope Edgar finds someone better then miss inflated ego better then everyone else
Mehn if anyone had told me I would be 84 books into a series. I would not have believed it, period, but I love these and look forward to every release.
Ok, so I wasn't team Edgar and Jasmine but originally then the beginning of this book had me thinking 🤔 hmm, maybe these 2 actually have a chance.
Lol! I.T. cut that down real quick! I really think had Edgar not been duch an 🫏 and so insecure they may have had more of a chance even if they were not fated mates. Sounds like he wasn't really being himself in the end, but putting up a front just so he could posess her.
But the Fates have spoken and Jasmine is destined for another... this should be interesting. Will she actively pursue the Prince? What just serve as a protector?
"Even her body was not visible to her, and when she lifted a hand to examine it, there was nothing to see. She felt like a disembodied presence, floating like a specter."
Why did this make me smile? I felt like I was living it with her. Or seeing it through her eyes.
❤️ Peter & Marina. She got her man!
Poor Aru! Heavy is the crown! Living that double life. Serving the King, Queen and trying to do the right thing has him stressed!
And can we say that for all the criticism Jasmine got, that was the shortest expedition ever. I have yet to hear her say I told you so even though she didn't trust her own abilities.
I don't want to give away anything, so I can't really tell you why I thought this was gettin' pretty good.
So why leave a review?
Just to say how much I REALLY don't like Jasmine. She's a selfish opportunist. If I tell you all the things she did to cause me to dislike her, I'd be spoiling stuff, so....
Sorry!
(I'm wondering, though, if Marina is a Dormant. If I had to pick one if these ladies to transition, it would be Marina.)
**A Spellbinding Romantic Adventure With Gods, Royalty, and Aliens!**
**Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐**
Author I.T. Lucas delivers yet another captivating installment in The Children of the Gods series with Book #84, Dark Witch: Twin Destinies. This book seamlessly weaves together romance, mystery, and the supernatural, making for an unforgettable read.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the exotic and remote Tibetan mountains, the world-building is vivid and immersive, transporting readers to a realm where magic and destiny intertwine. The paranormal elements are masterfully integrated, enhancing the depth of the story without overshadowing the emotional arcs.
Jasmine, the protagonist, embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery. Her internal struggles—balancing her obsession with the Kra-ell prince and her conflicting feelings for Edgar—make her a deeply relatable and compelling character. The tension and uncertainty in her romantic relationships add an extra layer of complexity, making every interaction feel meaningful.
The plot is both engaging and well-paced, with the mission to find the Kra-ell royal twins providing a strong foundation for the story. Jasmine's struggle to hone her powers despite various obstacles provides enough tension to keep readers invested. Meanwhile, the subplot featuring Marina and Peter’s romance brings warmth and contrast, further enriching the narrative.
Lucas’s writing shines through her ability to balance action, suspense, and heartfelt moments. The emotional depth of the story is evident, with scenes that tug at the heartstrings and create a lasting impact. Each character struggled with longing, fear of rejection and self doubts. Their emotional journeys evoked strong emotions, adding to the story's overall resonance.
Though the romantic arcs are beautifully developed, the story concludes with a romantic cliffhanger, leaving readers eager for the next installment. The relationships are built on genuine chemistry, and despite some familiar tropes, Lucas presents them in a fresh and engaging way.
Overall, Dark Witch: Twin Destinies is a thrilling addition to the series, delivering a perfect blend of supernatural intrigue and heartfelt romance. With its well-developed characters, unique setting, and compelling narrative, it’s a must-read for fans of paranormal romance. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next chapter in Jasmine’s journey!

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 84th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
Jasmine and Edgar’s story continues with an epic quest to Tibet to find one of the lost escape pods for the Kra-ell. I am incredibly invested in this part of the Kra-ell storyline and cannot wait to see what happens next book!
First I’m sorry for the 3 stars but I don’t like the way Jasmine feeling suddenly change the moment she found the pods. All of a sudden she felt no more attraction towards Edgar. Horrible. I have been reading these books from the beginning and they have been together for over 2 weeks so I know after all that time with her getting only Edgar venom she should have no attraction to another male. Why put us through that for her to dump him once she knows the prince is alive. I find that to be cruel. On another note I love Peter story. Oh and I was also pissed off about Jin and Ariel not have a wedding I felt cheated they deserve it. Seriously.😒. Kind of angry with this storyline sorry. Lastly I kind of hate that Lisa and Margo all see themselves above everyone because they a with a god and putting down the immortal. Especially Margo. Absolutely ridiculous. More on from them because I missed the original. I fell in love from Kian, then Dalhu and all the others and I can’t wait for Kiannn story. I even read the short story but these new ones they are pissing me off.
Not only are the weddings over, but our clan members are enjoying the comfort of their own beds. Sissy is back to making the best damb coffee this side of the village, and according to the clan gossip, Kian was spotted kissing his office desktop. We won't let him know we know though, K?
Peter has followed Marina back to Safe Haven and the Tibetan Trip is underway. So many secrets to uncover! Jasmine is suffering from doubt in her witchy abilities and in her ability to wrap her mind around a fated forever with Edgar. Inquiring minds want to know... is he really her fated prince of a man? It's not looking like the gods' pod-senses are tingling.
Still, there is some great excitement in the cards! I like excitement.
I am an ARC reader and give my five stars freely and with honesty. Although, immortality was insinuated.
Best part of reading is travelling the world while sitting in your cozy reading nook. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about immortals new shenanigans and landmarks in Tibet. I knew Jas and Ed wouldn’t last but felt a little sad for Ed. I felt that Ed was just cast aside now that Jasmine’s prince is rescued and Jasmine’s behaviour was a tad bit selfish she could have done better to end things well with Edgar without stringing him along. She was injured pretty bad and Edgar took care of her so he deserves at least some clarity about their situation ship. Also, author, if you’re reading this review please please please please let Marina be a dormant. I neeeed, I absolutely need her and Peter to have their HEA. Please please pretty please.
I feel swept away into the most thrilling world with each unraveling. Life feels sweeter. Hope in mankind feels restored. This series is truly beyond simple entertainment, it's illuminating the capacity human beings have within to be better and evolve. I read between 300 and 400 books a year and I can say without pause Lucas has brilliantly captured the essence of my true hearts emotion. Forever grateful to experience this beautiful world is stamped within me. Sending love and gratitude your way, mam... you remind me to stay steady and faithful!
This story is certainly taking on a new angle. So far I am having a tough time liking Edgar or Jasmine. I don’t like the games that they are playing and the selfishness I feel like they are displaying. Jasmine has know that she doesn’t see Edgar as her forever yet she is stringing him along with the excuse that she doesn’t want to hurt him. As if waiting to be honest with him will prevent him from getting hurt. On the other hand Peter knows that she isn’t that into him and he isn’t even fully convinced of his feelings for her yet he is holding on to her in hopes that she will fall for him. The whole thing is annoying
Jasmine’s story is proven out and she is indeed a powerful woman. Although the relationship she has had with Edgar was beneficial for both of them both personally, physically and emotionally, she knew from the beginning that it wasn’t meant to be long term. Locating and finding the pod actually was her calling that the Clan needed all along and now that she has been successful, where she goes after this is anyone’s guess. Undoubtedly someone will need to induce her but whom?
Dark Witch: Twin Destinies (The Children of The Gods Paranormal Romance book 84)
This new chapter in the clan's life direction is getting more exciting! A new generation of dormants and Gods is taking off! I can hardly wait to find out if the new Gods are good or evil and willing to help Annani save them all from the brotherhood of doomers! This is one neck of a sci field ride and I'm not sure that I really ever want it to end! I.T. Lucas has a wonderful way of capturing your imagination and holding it with her storytelling abilities!
Mystery of the twins and finding the pod and what survivors made it.
The hunt for the prince and princess and finding them alive and the excitement of the pod and how the gal and guys had found it and all they went thru to finally reach it. Very exciting and emotional of the thoughts of heartbreak that could come between Jasmine and Edgar, can't wait to keep reading more about their future and the awaking of the twins and also the Queen and what her decision will finally come too about the twins down the road and what type of people they will be good or evil..
I don't know if my perception is skewed by more impatience than usual due to the revelations about Anumati. It seems this part of the story is taking forever to move forward and we still have too many questions about the twins and their places in the narrative. Also I am dieing to find out Jasmine's lineage. Will we or have we met her mom? Can't wait for answers!
It was interesting to see the logistics of the trip to Tibet and the actual excursion. Jasmine slowly learns to believe in her gift, and it pays off. During the trip she realizes that her relationship with Edgar is what she wants. But is she relying on the Tarot cards too much as to her fate? We will see. It was good to see the interactions with everyone on the trip. Now I am wondering what will happen when they get back.
Back on land. So this book really moved along. The clan has finished the cruise and is now on the quest looking for the Royal twins. Jasmine's journey continues. However, I am not convinced she has found her fated one. I like that her story is not set in stone yet. It provides variety in these books that keep you coming back.
An exciting installment as the team head to tebet, I liked how it came together and can't wait to see what happens next with the twins. Enjoyable, fast paced and full of action, another enjoyable installment, book 3 of this trilogy is going to be a doozy!!!
I continue to enjoy this series and can't wait for each new book's release. This one was a little heart-wrenching since it leaves the door open for Jasmine's decision on what she is going to do. What path will she pursue to reach her final goal and will it leave a very broken-hearted immortal male in her wake. Only Isabell can give us the answer!!!!
I am loving this storyline! The only thing I didn't like was that Jackie and Margo had to be included in the story. Their storyline was soooooo boring, as well as the characters themselves. I didn't mind reading about Peter and Marina in this storyline. I. Can't. Wait. For. The. Next. One!
I love meeting new characters, learning their talents, following the stories of the continuing characters and reading the stories as they unwind. When I read these books, I feel like I’ve popped out of this world and into another. I’m always looking forward to the next book in the series.
This series keeps getting better and better... Suspense and intrigue is incomparable.... As is the love and the romance and the sexual chemistry between all of the fated mates... I just don't want to ever get to the end of each and every book which I keep on reading one after the other.... Epic or what..
I found this book intriguing! I can't wait to see how things work out for Jasmine! I find myself rooting for Edgar to find his fated mate. With every new book, A new adventure for Kian and the clan!!
I am looking forward to reading more of this series. I highly recommend this series.
I loved this one because it brought a bit of the arcane onto the scene. It seems very logical to have an immortal who can tap into the fates and somewhat see the future. Of course there is always room for error and like the tarrot of the wheel of fortune life is always changing so nothing is written in stone.
I can't believe I'm on the 84th book of this series. I can't wait to see how Jasmine's story unfolds from here! I love all of the characters in every single one of these books. I could read this series till the end of time!
This book is a bit of a set up for the next storyline. Its good & has plenty of sexy times & intrigues. I'm not fond of Edgar or Jasmine, but they are ok as a transition thread.
I love these books. I’m impatient and hate to wait for the next one. I’m rally going to hate when the series finishes. But, I know there has to be many more. So many questions still need to be answered.
The book was full of adventures and an opening of things to come I’m sad that Edgar and Jasmine are not true love mates but I’m not surprised i hope Marina is a dormant and Peter gets his true love and then we can find out how Max is related to Jasmine
She believes that the cards have spoken the truth that she wants..... But is that the truth? Pretty good book. Let's continue reading to find out what happens to our dear witch. Happy reading everyone!!!!
So love love this series., i try to wait for a few books to be written. As i always hate the cliff hanger. Just wow the action, romancè, being able to picture the scenes in my mind. Def you have to read!!
