Into the Northlands
They destroyed his home.
Ten years have passed since the vile forces of the villainous Black Duke came to his city, and destroyed it. In the decade since, the survivors of Pelsemoria have faced starvation, privation, predation, and the terror of knowing, one day, the Black Duke would return.
Now, one poor shepherd boy, Tomas Fidelis, begins an unlikely quest. He will bring to justice the Black Duke and all his wretched followers. Tomas will find the mysterious Trickster Mage, Cyras Darkholm, and earn from him one of the sacred wishes. Tomas will journey the entire length of the Lanasian continent, facing monsters, tyrants, would-be kings, and the encroaching darkness itself. He will find within himself a strength beyond measure and find unexpected friends and allies in the most impossible of places.
His journey into the Northlands, the dreaded homeland of the Black Duke himself, begins here.

Tomas’s home was destroyed 10 years ago by the forces of the Black Duke. Tomas sets out on a quest to bring justice to the Black Duke. This was a great story with lots of suspense and a few good twists. I look forward to the next book.
