Rate this book
Merrin Gardner is on the run. The talented young organist has fled from her position at Chorton and acquired a new job with an orchestra preparing for an Easter programme at Lime Peak Cathedral.
On her first day in town, her car is broken into and she is assisted by a kind and extremely attractive man jogging by – who, she discovers the next day is her new boss, Boston Trilby, Conductor of the chamber orchestra.
When a photo of a topless Merrin is printed in the personal columns of the local paper, Merrin is forced to disclose the reason for her flight to Lime Peak to Boston and her new friends - parishioners the Grimsbys. With the help of Sam, the orchestra leader with a double life and Boston’s old flame, ‘good time girl’ Lisa, the unlikely comrades plot to entrap Sir Richard Allbrook - Merrin’s previous mentor - whose life and activities are much darker than his affable façade would indicate. Will goodness overrule evil, and faith and love be the means of delivering justice?
