This is a fantastic and well-crafted novel: I loved it. The setting, ambiance, and characters are all very engaging, while the magic and monsters are interesting, complex, and scary. I particularly enjoyed the mystery elements, the various reveals, and the themes of exploration and discovery. Part III was a special rollercoaster of action and twists.

One thing I liked above all was the thoughtfulness of the narrative. Each scene was given appropriate time to breathe without feeling overwrought. This led to a truly immersive and captivating reading experience.

Sci-fi fantasy

“Gloom” is a well written sci- fi fantasy. World building was phenomenal. In this story, a young village boy’s life is forever changed when he watches his father sacrifice himself to a gruesome death by a monster to save him. The writing is detailed. The story’s lore is dark and full of suspense. Overall a good read.

This book is amazing! I didn’t realize that this is the authors first book, I thought that they have been a seasoned author! I was not able to put this book down from the start! I absolutely love this book and can’t wait to see what else this author can do!

Captivating

Absolute gem for fans of dark fantasy and mystery. Author’s world building is both intricate and haunting. Story of a grizzled hunter weighed down by the burdens of his past is compelling and multi-dimensional. Thought provoking story, must read!

cool idea

Cool story idea and well written. Engaging plotline. Overall I liked the main character and definitely rooted for him throughout, although there were definitely parts that were too slow for me and had to came over.

I will read anything this authors pens. This book, Gloom was well written and played in my mind like a movie, unpredictable and incredible.
