Take the Oath. Protect the Brotherhood. Survive the slaughter.
South Boston, 1982.
When Sarah McCready finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman on the same day she loses her job, she goes home to Boston to start again. Nothing changed in her old neighborhood, except the creepy house next to hers. Someone reclusive and mysterious is renovating it. Too bad he isn’t the friendly type.
After decades of endless war, Cillian Darragh is tired of bloodshed. Determined to re-integrate into the Morrigan Brotherhood, he means to let go of his hatred and master his bloodlust. Fixing up the family home seems like a good start. He never expected Sarah. Feisty, witty, and too smart for her own good, she brings his walls down in a way no one has in a long time. When her blood all but sings in her veins, just for him, he knows he can’t stay away.
Secrets surround Cillian Darragh, drawing Sarah into a timeless vampiric underworld beneath Boston’s surface. But an old enemy remembers the Brotherhood, and judgment is coming. Cillian must protect her from his past, or her life, and the lives of his brethren may be forfeit.
Celtic mythology intertwines with the rich history of Irish immigration in this suspenseful paranormal romance, set against the backdrop of The Troubles.
My Hot Neighbor is an Irish Vampire is a dual POV, slow-burn, neighbors-to-lovers vampire romance with no cheating and an HEA. This is the second volume in the Morrigan Brotherhood series. The author recommends reading in chronological order to avoid spoilers.
When Sarah makes the decision to go home to Boston after her attempt to become a singer in California she never knew how much her life would change so much after meeting her grumpy but distractingly hot Irish neighbor Cillian a man full of mystery after Sarah is attacked she learns the truth about Cillian and his friends her own family and the mysterious Morrigan Brotherhood. This was everything I could hope for in a story the tension, the attraction, the mystery and drama the world of mortal and vampires and ancient history collides in an epic tale I couldn’t put down
This is the second audiobook in The Morrigan Brotherhood series by Roxie McClain and is an incredible paranormal romance. I loved the first audiobook in the series, but I am absolutely obsessed with this second one! This is Cillian and Sarah’s story. Cillian is the right-hand man and best friend to the vampire High King of Boston and has long since sworn off of love after losing his human wife shortly after his turning. He doesn’t even believe himself capable of love anymore. Enter Sarah, his feisty and sexy new neighbor who has just returned to Boston to her childhood home. When she is surprised by an intruder (who just happens to be a vampire) her first night in the house, she literally runs right into Cillian’s arms. Instant attraction (and bloodlust), her new job at his pub, and a surprising familial connection to another vampire in the Morrigan Brotherhood puts them in each other’s paths repeatedly, much to Cillian’s chagrin. They have a very push-and-pull kind of courtship, but just as they’re finally starting to work it out, an old enemy from Cillian’s past comes calling. And he finds out just how far he’s really willing to go for Sarah. I completely adored this couple! And I love the unique approach to vampire lore this author takes by weaving in Irish mythology. Add in the brotherhood and found family dynamic, the compelling plot, the incredible characters, and the suspense of this series, and I am 100% hooked! The next audiobook can’t come fast enough as far as I’m concerned.
This fabulous story is performed with duet-style narration by Andria Mae and Jake McAskill. Both of these were new voices for me in the first audiobook, and I continue to be impressed by them. In bringing this story to life, they captured these characters so perfectly. And the Irish accents for the various characters are spot on. This series just continues to get better, and the outstanding narration from these two talented voice actors is a big reason why! If you’re a fan of paranormal romance audio, give this audiobook a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Narrators Jake McAskill 🥵 and Andria Mae are back foNarrators Jake McAskill 🥵 and Andria Mae are back for this second installment of the Morrigan Brotherhood series. Boy do I love Jake McAskill’s Irish accent 🥵 They both did a great job giving the characters life. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars for narration!

Review of My Hot Neighbor Is an Irish Vampire by Roxie McClaine Narrated by Andria Mae & Jake McAskill 4⭐️
This was a strong second book in the Morrigan Brotherhood series, and I enjoyed it even more than the first. The dual narration by Andria Mae and Jake McAskill was phenomenal and really brought the characters and emotions to life.
Cillian Darragh is a vampire who has moved to Boston to restore his family home. Having lost his wife decades earlier, Cillian carries the weight of a long, painful past that includes fighting in the Irish independence movement and other wars. He has never allowed himself to love again.
Sarah McCready has also returned to Boston, hoping for a fresh start after walking away from her music career. When she and Cillian cross paths, their relationship begins as a classic hate-to-love trope. For Cillian, Sarah represents a powerful clash between the past he’s been clinging to and the future he’s afraid to embrace.
Alongside the romance, there’s an ongoing threat from a group of hunters targeting druids and vampires, which adds tension and momentum to the story.
Overall, this was a great read with excellent narration, strong character development, and compelling romantic tension. I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.
*Thanks to Booksprout and Roxie McClaine for the ALC in exchange for honest review.

Cillian is an old, battle hardened Morrigan vampire soldier with no room in his life for sentimental attachments like love. Sarah McCready is his new next door neighbor, and the newest employee at Mannock Tavern, Irish pub and the Morrigan vampire HQ. In other words, he can't escape her, her scent, her sass, and her refusal to be intimidated. The story of how Cillian came to be what he is is deftly woven into the tale of the ongoing conflicts and deadly perils in the vampire world, and the deeply moving account of a lonely young woman's search for home, family, and belonging. Roxie McClaine's Irish vampires are unique in the PNR genre, fully fleshed-out, three dimensional, emotionally complex immortals who have left none of their humanity behind. Sarah, the heroine is feminine strong, brave but not bellicose, with the heart to endure more than a human body can survive. Cillian and Sarah's love story features against a larger tale of loyalty and survival in the vampire world. The first will nearly break your heart (tissues recommended) while the second will keep you on tenterhooks waiting for the next tale of the Morrigan Brotherhood. This is an independent, voluntary, and totally smitten ARC review.
Sarah McCready stood up for herself in a recording studio, quit then walked out. She goes to her employer and lets her know. Within days she's on a plane heading home to Boston. On the plane she meets a man named Peter Blackwood who is also headed to Boston. They become friends on the flight. When she gets to her home she starts opening doors and windows then heads upstairs. She finds someone in her house and runs out the door right into Cillian Darragh. He's walking home and is almost barreled over by Sarah as she runs out of her house. He knows who she probably saw and tries to help her by going in with her to search the house. She learns he's living next door and renovating it. When he goes home Brody is there and apologizes but tells him he lunged at her because she smelled so good. Having had that experience of her he understands. Then the night she goes to the local pub and sings she is attacked by a vampire. That's when she meets her great grandfather. She will be given the choice of whether to remember she was attacked by a vampire or to have her memory erased. What will she decide? For Cillian it will be even harder because her blood sings for him? Another fantastic story in this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 rounded up. This rating and review is for the audiobook.
I loved the first installment of the Morrigan Brotherhood series, so I was excited to see if the second one would be just as great. Or if it would fall flat in comparison. I did not need to worry though, it was sooooo good! First the narration was wonderful. I sometimes have a hard time following audiobooks when the accents are strong, but I’ve had no issues at all with this series. The accents are beautiful and the narration is clear. I love how complex the story is while not being overwhelming. The weaving of modern day (80’s),the paranormal characters being from different time periods, and lore of the Morrigan is done really well. I loved listening to the main characters go from snarky neighbors to finding love and home with each other. I really like the found family aspect. I enjoyed the spice and the romance, but it’s not just that. There’s plenty of great plot and fantastic action and suspense. If you love paranormal or fantasy romance you’ll love this book! Definitely read book one, My Hot Best Friend is an Irish Vampire, first. It will make more sense and you’ll get to interact with characters from that book in the new one. I highly recommend this series and cannot wait for more.
Great story writing, wonderful depth of characters (loveable and relatable), suspenseful, emotional and riveting. Also a very unique take on vampire origins. How the author wrote the inner monologues of the MMC (Cillian) and the FMC (Sarah) made it so much more enjoyable. I love how strong a character Sarah is. I always enjoy a sassy, take no shit heroine, which Sarah embodied. Cillian, oh my gawwwd! So dreamy! So hot! So sweet! I loved the twists and turns as more was revealed and I just could not put this book down. So happy it was audio because I was doing chores, driving etc and listening to it. The narration/performance was top tier. Some scenes performed were gut wrenching and emotions wrecking. I loved every minute of it!
I received a free ALC of this book and this is a voluntary review.
This is technically the second in a series, but I jumped right in without reading the first and was easily able to follow along (you can read it in the series or as standalone). Now let me tell you this is an amazing audio book, not only is there actually more then one narrator, but the Irish accents 😩. Not only sexy vampires, but depth, history, yearning, spice, and one feisty and fearless fmc. The world building and explanation of the magic system was so well blended into the story and there was no dull moments of world building with no plot. If you like vampires and sexy well dressed men with accents you’ll love this book, but even with romance and spice there is a very captivating plot that doesn’t have to do with the romance. Definitely recommend and I’m definitely going back and reading the first book!
Sarah returns to her home in Boston after living in California for a few years trying to be a singer/actress. She meets a handsome Englishman on the plane and they become friends. On her first night home, she is frightened by an intruder and runs into her next door neighbor, Cillian who is a vampire. Sarah was told by her old boss in California to apply to work at the Mannock Tavern where she meets Leigh and Michael, the owners. I liked the first book of this series and this second book exceeds my expectations. The story of Cillian and Sarah is about family; loss; friends; enemies; betrayal; abduction; love; hate and finding the warrior spirit.

Another great story in this series. I loved this story that's about Sarah and Cillian. Sarah McCready returns home in Boston after trying to get her music career to start in California. Upon arriving in her family home going upstairs she runs into a man in her parent's bedroom fleeing she runs into Cillian who is walking home from the Mannock Tavern. Cillian almost got knocked down by Sarah, he notices how wonderful she smells, and his beast wants her. Cillian checks the house for the intruder who disappeared and tells her he lives next door in the Darrah house. What occurs is another great story full of engaging characters, drama, and romance in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.
Don’t let the title turn you off. The Morrigan Brotherhood novels are an interesting take on the vampire mythos, with creative weaving of Irish mythology/fairy tale. I’m a longtime fan of the vampire genre, and fantasy novels. While there may be similar takes out there, this is one I’ve never encountered in all my reading, and I’ve found it fresh and engaging. The romance is good, and the books to hold some spicier scenes. However this is far from just a romance or spicy book. Fans of romance will find themselves caught up in the deeper complexity of the mythology, and I hope find this a surprising narrative that leaves them excited for the next installments.
This book was longer than I had initially anticipated. The start was a little lengthy but it set the scene for the entire story well and proper. The title made it seem whimsical but this book was legit awesome! The storyline was good and after the long windedness of the start, it became a bit more fast paced. Everyone had a back story and all back stories were riddle with pain, despair and hurt. The male and female protagonists were likable, fallible and very real. The climax of the book had me in tears. But worry not..there is a happy ending!.

After reading the first book in the Morrigan Brotherhood series, I though that Roxie McClaine could not exceed my expectation with the second book in the series. Was I wrong. My Hot Neighbor is an Irish Vampire was even better than the first. We get to meet again all the merry band of the Morrigan Brotherhood, and this time, in the 80’s, we get the story of Cillian Darragh and Sarah McCready. More action, new and old enemies, a long-lasting war between supernaturals and hunters, a slow-burn love between our MC, a lot of incursions in Celtic lore, and the unique style of Roxie McClaine are the perfect ingredients to this amazing book. 100% recommended
The title and cover alone are enough to grab my attention! And boy, they did not disappoint!! This second book in this series was even better than the first one, and I looooved the first one. Cillian story was amazing, I just love this Brotherhood of vampires. With an ancient enemy re-emerging, I feel like the danger and suspense this time was so much more!. Loved all the characters and let's not forget the hot and spicy vampire romance!!! Fantastic!! The audio narration was incredible, including the accents that really brought each character to life in my mind!! Highly recommend!
I enjoyed this book. I’d rate it 3.5 stars. There is an overarching plot that connects the books in this series. However, each book focuses on one couple. Cillian and Sarah’s story is sweet. The author incorporates forgiveness and second chances.
The first half is slow but it does speed up during the second half. It is well-written.

Ok…it wasn’t Sean’s book but Cillian would have been my next choice of who I’d want to read about.
I loved everything about this book. The writing was excellent. The characters are amazing. Even the new characters. Just more for me to obsess over. There was a little more of Sean in this book! Yay!
Do check your trigger/content warnings. There is some sensitive content. If you’re looking for a great vampire story with some spice…this is your book!!
Roxie knows how to write a paranormal romance. This second book in the series did not disappoint. Even though long chapters usually turn me off from a book, I know when it comes to Rosie's books I wouldn't be able to put it down. Her books are so captivating and spare no detail to each character and their story. This book is another Roxie McClain masterpiece and must read.
I received this as an arc and am willingly leaving a review
The story line is really interesting. It takes you through the life of a human being walked through the world of the brotherhood. You get to see the new encounters as she learns about other immortals and how their world works. I won't spoil it too much for you but the main character is a newbie so the book slowly takes you on this journey.

Loved it! This group of vampires is really growing on me. Several years have passed since the first book in this series took place. Cillian Darrah is back in Boston renovating his home. Then destiny in the form of Sarah McCready comes home to take up residence in her late parents' home. But if you thought this was going to be a sweet next-door neighbor romance, guess again. Prepare for danger and adventure. I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.
I just wrapped up my ALC of My Hot Neighbor Is an Irish Vampire by Roxie McClaine, and I cannot express how hard this audiobook grabbed me. It’s long, but every minute is worth it — the pacing, the tension, and the unraveling plot twists had me glued to my headphones.
The mix of paranormal romance, Irish charm, dark twists, and character chemistry made this story completely addictive. Every time I thought I knew where the plot was going… nope. Another twist. Another reveal. Another reason to yell “I NEED MORE!”
This was an easy 5-star read for me. Roxie McClaine built a world that feels rich, mysterious, sexy, and impossible to leave behind. I’m already counting down to whatever comes next — because I NEED more Irish vampire chaos in my life.
Yes, the continuation of the Morrigan Brotherhood was much anticipated as the history of the troubles and vampiric characters was highly fascinating. Looking forward to Cillian and Sarah's story was extremely satisfying as I could not put it down. This series has me wanting more!.

This is the second book in the Morrigan Brotherhood and focuses on Cillian and Sarah. Definitely take the time to read the first in the series as it establishes a lot of the world building and characters. This book started off slow to me, but overall had a satisfying ending.

Why can't I ever have a neighbor like this?! Roxie McClaine wrote such an interesting storyline, good worldbuilding, the great characters and the romance I love. Irish vampires, how hot and sexy is that?! Dual narrators Jake McAskill and Andria Mae do a fantastic job in bringing this story to life!

This was another amazing book from Roxie. I loved getting to go back to the Morrigan brotherhood and I truly loved Sarah and Cillian. They were amazing to experience and I couldn’t put this book down.
I’m loving this series! They connect extremely well even though each book is centered on different couples. Absolutely amazing world building. This author is wonderful I have yet to read a book by her that wasn’t epic! I can’t wait for the next one.
This was an awesome addition to the series, Roxie does not fail to meet expectations. Her story telling is amazing and always keep me feeling a part of the book, so much so that when it is over I want more.
I love a series where the characters and settings just make me want to jump in the story and escape for awhile. Ms McClaine is fabulous at creating the most immersive tales that range from a comfortable evening to great action to a sexy interlude for the star couple.
I’m ready for a return trip to Boston or Ireland whenever!
