Yay for the second book in this series! I am addicted. So glad I have the third one already. I love how they keep the story line of the missing friend and treasure map going. Jake is a single father who is trying to help his soon to be teenage daughter learn to cope with new surroundings and appreciate the simpler things in life. When he decides to take his daughter on a tour of Treasure Creek he meets the tour guide that will change his life. Little does he know that she has had issues with being on of the guys and feeling dull compared to her beautiful twin sister. We also get a side story with the twin sister. The relationship between Casey and her beautiful twin has had it's ups and downs through the years. But, they grow closer through circumstances that happen. In the end both twins realize that love is what really matters and you have to vulnerable and take a chance. I can't wait to see how the next story plays out!

A story of love, overcoming hurts, and a tour through Alaska Chilkoot Trail. Casey is a twin. Her sis Amelia is totally different from her. Casey has been hurt in a relationship so finds it hard to overcome. Jake's ex-wife left him and his daughter before she died. So Jake has issues too. Jake plans a tour hoping to get his daughter to fall in love with Alaska where he grew up. Adventure with a mountain lion showing up on trail. Casey knows how to run lion off without anyone getting hurt. She also saves a bat in story. She is a tomboy and loves the outdoors. She doesn't like dressing up. A magazine writes a review calling her one of the guys and it upsets her. The way people judge her is unfair. People can be so cruel. But then there are those who will love you for you. I recommend all Terri Reed's books.

I thought this was a sweet book. I liked how Casey tried her best to help Veronica feel better about moving to Alaska (the scenes on the bridge is a prime example), and how she learned to trust God, even in the face of potential heartache.
I liked Jake, too, though he seemed a little bit 'flatter' as a character than Casey did . . . I don't feel like I knew him very well by the end of the book.
A real surprise was Amelia. I wasn't so sure about her at first, but actually quite liked her by the time the story was done!

First Terri Reed book. Well written romance set in Alaska. The dynamic between Casey and Amelia seemed awkward give that they are twins. Casey the insecure, shy one and Amelia the over the top outgoing one. The descriptive narrative regarding the beauty of the Alaskan landscape was spot on. I would like to read other books in this Alaskan Bride Rush series just to see what happens to other characters that are mentioned in this book.

A good read. Jake Rodgers has moved back in town with his young daughter to take over his dad's business. How can he help his daughter adjust to this new life in Treasure Creek? Someone suggests he take her on a wilderness hike with Casey as their guide. Will she be able to help his daughter adjust to this new life? Will this help both of them?

Love this series. Casey has always lived in everyone else's shadow and when her twin returns to town about the same time Jake and his daughter Veronica does all kinds of feelings surface. Start on the first book. Will enjoy.

I'm telling you, I am LOVING this Alaskan Bride rush series...It's making me want to take a trip to Alaska! I fell in love with tomboy, Casey, and by the end, even liked her snobby, girly twin, Amelia. And of course I fell in LOVE with Jake & his pre-teen daughter, Veronica. LKudos too, on the cover art....The model, portrying Jake is VERY CUTE!!!, AND LOVE the forest in mountains in the background behind him. ALL-AROUND AWESOME!!!! Can't wait for MaryAnn & Alex's story next month, in 'Doctor Right.'

So far the Alaskan Bride Rush series is wonderful. I love the feeling of experiencing, as the natives would express it, "God's Country."I loved the characters of Jake, Casey, and Veronica. I felt they ware very authentic and genuine. The character of Amelia was interesting, but I felt she changed a little too quickly and didn't seem totally real to me. The plot held my interest, but was pretty predictable.

Cute story of two totally different personalities of twin sisters, who both mature and find themselves back in the town where they grew up in Alaska. Having losses early in their lives, helps them to reach out to others who also have losses when young. This story shows the Lord working in their lives with faith, grace and trust and the characters becoming open to relationships that are healthy. Anger and rebellion, hidden to them, becomes resolved as they seek Christ and healing.

Treasure Creek is an awesome place to visit. This is the 2nd book in the Alaskan Bride series. The first being Klondike Hero by Jillian Hart.

Jake & Casey's story is great. It shows that someone like Casey's twin, Amelia, can have all the right beauty and looks and be shallow.

Also it teaches to be who you are.

I so love the way Casey and Jake's relationship progressed. They seemed so real in who theft are, never trying to be someone they're not. Reading books that have many books helps you learn so much about all the characters. It makes me want to be in Treasure Creek and working by side with all of them.

Good book by Terri Reed. This book is part of the Alaskan Bride Rush mini-series. Oil baron Jake Rogers is trying to find a way to help his daughter adapt to living in Alaska, so the follows a suggestion that he should have Casey take them on a wilderness tour.
