20th Century Advertising

Rate this book
Twentieth-Century Advertising features all the famous - and often infamous - campaigns of the century. Some, such as Coca-Cola and Nike, have had a massive global impact; others, such as Benetton have shocked, some campaigns evoke a bygone era - selling us "safe" products such as Betty Crocker and Keilogg's; and then there are those campaigns that have taken graphic design to new levels, including the posters of Saul Bass or A.M. Cassandre.
Dave Saunders' connections with many of the top people in advertising and photography provide this book with unique quotes and thoughts from the makers of some of the world's most famous campaigns.

Excellent read, a complete history of 20th century advertising. It provides you with more than just descriptions of some of the most successful ad campaigns ever but the rationale behind them. A must-read for ad pros and students.
