The Message

Rate this book
Liza McKenzie, an award-winning, professional photographer, is the sole survivor of a devastating car accident that killed three people. Filled with grief and guilt, she succumbs to a condition Freud called hysterical blindness. How can she ever return to her normal life if she permanently loses her most precious asset - sight?
Soon, Liza’s other senses begin to detect unexplained a lingering scent, a repetitive dream, a familiar touch. Afraid that she is losing her mind, Liza engages the help of others to research the possibility that she is being haunted. Do spirits exist? Can they communicate with us? Are they trying to help Liza or hurt her?
The Message is the third in Ms. Burke’s “Mind out of Body” series, following The Witness and The Traveler. Each presents a page-turning fictional story incorporating ongoing professional studies of reincarnation, out-of-body and near-death experiences, or in this case, after-death communication. Much to their surprise, readers will learn that more evidence supports life after death than they ever imagined.

Loved this book. It is well designed and held my attention. Clearly, messages are meant to be shared and not always by the living. Thanks for a great researched story.
