The Dangerous Gentleman: A Call for Men to be Courageous in a Culture of Fear

Rate this book
Are we dangerous enough to restore righteousness?

America is in a war—an internal battle between good and evil with society crumbling at our feet. With every institution we once relied on now eroded, there is no one coming to help. Victor Marx believes politicians aren’t going to save people, neither are law enforcement or public schools. Instead, he advocates for restoration of the family unit as God intended, led by fathers and a generation of dangerous gentlemen who believe without courage all other virtues fail.

High-risk missionary and evangelist Victor Marx lays out a battle plan for men to lead the fight to rebuild our culture, families and churches along with stories of his life’s journey that took him from an abused child left for dead to rescuer of the weak and traumatized.

A former Marine, Marx has followed God’s call to the far corners of the globe to provide assistance to the least of these—including widows and orphans of ISIS fighters—despite the danger. What he’s learned along his journey, he provides in these pages with his trademark humor and humility. He invites men along for the adventure of a lifetime.

Victor Marx is the one the men who I believe to be the antidote to the Nick-Fuentes-style brain rot that is so rapidly infecting young men. His life is a shining example of what it truly means to be a Dangerous Gentleman, a Warrior Poet, a Servant Leader.

Far from the ilk of 20-30 year old man-boys who have not accomplished anything with their life (other than getting people to tune into their ranting), who carry no weight of responsibility (other than that which they squander by setting a crap example for the boys following them), and who can not point to single tangible thing they have done to make the world a better place — Victor is a man who has accomplished more than most people ever dream is possible (despite hardships that would break any normal person); who carries the responsibility of a wife, a family a global ministry and soon an entire State’s citizenship with grit and grace; and who done so much good for so many people in the world that the effects of his life are literally incalculable at this point.

Young men, read this book. Older men, read this book. And model your life after the principles that this man shares. You’ll be better for it and it is the only thing that has any hope of changing our nation and our world.

A Dangerous Gentleman is a book men of all ages need to read.
A call to arms, for men to stand up and step into the roles God has called us to.
Some of us have specific callings on our lives, but we all have a few in common, to be dangerous and gentle, to defend and protect, to step into and risk harm to ourselves so that others may be safe.
We must learn to surrender our lives over to the Lord in order to truly live and receive all he has for us.
This book has to potential to change the course of men’s lives and generations, should we choose to accept the message God is speaking through Victor.

This book inspired me to depths I haven't visited in quite a while! My overall impression after finishing this might be best expressed something like this..."What lengths am I willing to go to, to become the man God has made me to be?!" This read challenged me beyond any book I've read to date AND, simultaneously, left me feeling deeply affirmed and believing that maybe someone out there understands me? Personally, I believe most men would endure much more hardship if they understood their divine purpose in life! We have a fight...We have a mission...and...It's a mission from God!!

The Dangerous Gentleman is just what this Country, the United States of America and World needs. As we see the decline of Family the way that God intended Families to be this book will give you hope, help, compassion, and what it means to be a man that truly follows God. Victor Marx is as real as one can get but has a heart full of love and compassion for those who are victims and have endured t
rauma in their lives. This book is a wake up call for men to rise up and take their place as "The Dangerous Gentleman." I highly recommend this book, not only for men but for women too.

Cover to Cover!

Never have I read a book that kept me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to sleep until I not only read it, but ingested every piece of this book into my soul because of the Truth and anointing it carries for men, like myself, today!

The call to be a Dangerous Gentleman spoke to the deepest fibers of my being and unleashed a divine Commitment in my spirit to live the rest of my life the way God‘s designed me, as a warrior, as a father, as a husband, as a courageous, God centered, and submitted under His authority type man!! Just wow! Thank you Victor!

Eye opening perspective

I came across this book in a strange way. I believe it was something I needed to read in this season of life that I have found to be both miserable and exhilarating. I experienced several eye opening moments while reading this book and now have a better understanding on how I'm supposed to face the battles in front of me. It's a very good use of your time to read this book and let the message for your life sink in.

It’s a really good book about becoming a dangerous man of God. Society sees all men as needing to be big and strong capable of taking on anyone in a fight. These can be important attributes to a man but ultimately Marx discusses the use of knowledge, humility, and trusting Gods plan as our greatest weapon as men. It took me awhile to read because it’s a long read with many stories in a small book but the ideas come together to make a good book.

Eyeopening and challenging!

The Dangerous Gentleman is Frank and direct! I have been in the ministry since 1979 and read several publications on Biblical manhood. This is by far the best. Victor Marx writing style and true-life accounts keep your attention. This is a must-read not just for those called to minis; but for every man who truly wants to serve God to their fullest potential.

Loved the story of victor and his pursuit after Christ through his military experience along with his experience of being a husband and father. A bold, in your face type faith that is much needed in the world, especially in men. If you are wanting a complete shift in perspective, and adopt the warrior mentality as a believer in Christ, this is the one for you.

Victor Marx unapologetically reminds us how important Godly manhood is in a secure society, and encourages Christian men to step up in their families, neighborhoods and cities to help save our republic. Highly recommended.

Powerful

This book spoke to my soul more than any other book ever has. This gave me “permission” to be dangerous, and it’s motivated me to follow the Lord no matter where he leads.

Victor Marx has lived an adventurous life in Christ. This book not only shares those stories in a page turning way, but also teaches how you too can have an adventurous life in Christ right where you are or where God sends you.

This book was full of action and lessons from start to finish. We did audible and turned it on every time we got in the car. Made me research the man and the countries he has helped. What a true hero.

Wow!i

I wasn’t sure what to expect other than I saw that he knew Charlie Kirk and Charlie did his foreword. It was an amazing read and reminded me of God’s purpose for men and what we need to be doing in this world. Highly recommend!

It was so refreshing to read this book. I get tired of people who only say things in a roundabout way. Or things that only sound good, but at the same time, they don't exactly know what they're saying.

I was so relieved when I heard his rough style of writing. It's just straight. Straight to the point and not very confusing in any way.

But more to the point, it's just true. And I really appreciated that.

But also, it's so nice to hear someone talk about fighting. Not that I mean physical fighting, although that's part of it too, and I was pretty happy about that also. But I just like the idea of fighting for something. Not fighting for anything, but the right cause, and in the right way.

I dont know where to start with this book, it had me laughing, crying, and feelings of very strong conviction of the things I need to get in order and prepare for in my own life and community. It is a call to action, it is an example of what can be done when we simply fallow God and surrender to his will. It was both heart warming and heart breaking to hear the stories of the children in Iraq and youth prisons and the terrible things that had happened to them, but then to also hear how victor, by answering the call of God was able to change so many lives for the better forever. Far to many men, myself included have become to passive, sitting on the sideline instead of standing for God, standing for what's right, standing for the future of our society, or only doing it when we know we have the support of others, this book and its perspective has been a wake up call for me and I hope it will be for you as well.
