Journey To Forever is a good story. The characters of Nikki and Colin are well written and their interactions are funny and believable.

The part that left me looking for more was the villain. He is mentioned early as part of Nikki's past but doesn't show up until almost the end of the book. He should be present throughout either interacting or parallel throughout the story. His role became unnecessary to the storyline and could have been left out.

I think this might be my first encounter with a TSTL hero. He didn't tell her he had asthma, and nearly died roller skating in a blizzard , but had the nerve to be mad (oops angry) that she didn't tell him that her family was super rich.

I enjoyed this book. It shows what a difference it makes when God is in your life directing your path.

Journey to Forever by Carol Steward has more closure at the end than the other Christian romances I’ve read. I like that. Steward crafted a unique plot to bring the characters together.

Colin Wright is an ex-baseball player turned Christian radio announcer with a firm belief in God. He has a knack for insane stunts to raise money for charities. Nikki Post is a rich girl who had a rude awakening. People befriend her or “love” her for money. Nikki wants to have friends and a boyfriend who love her for herself. So she hides her wealth and takes a job at her grandfather’s newspaper in Colorado.

These characters have backstory that comes out during the novel. In some instances, I felt the tension minimal and quickly satisfied. Like any romance, Colin and Nikki would rather not be with each other, but Steward places them on a journey across Colorado by alternate means of travel other than driving to raise money for charity. Like all story, during their journey, the characters change.

This book is a sweet romance that ends happy. That isn't a spoiler -- happy endings are why people read romances. I liked the plot and the characters. The plot twists were believable and I found myself reading the book instead of doing other things I needed to do.

However, I found the book preachy and that irritated me. It is one thing to write a romance that shows individuals living their faith. It is another to actively proselytize with long sections of dialogue that are more sermon than anything. I think that makes it difficult for those who are not committed to the same viewpoint to read the book. It is essentially preaching to the choir. The author would reach more people with her message if she was less overt about pushing it.

I give this book a B minus. A nice read if you can take the evangelical Christianity.

For this quarter, I read Journey to Forever by Carol Steward. In this book what happened was, radio host Colin is challenged to complete a wacky stunt for charity, he ends up agreeing. The charity is doing homeless shelter. This hurts Collin heart because his family was once homeless. But he meets a beautiful girl name Nicole “Nikki”, who’s a journalist who accompanies him during this challenge.
What I enjoyed about this book was when they began the trip. Collin and Nikki have to get to Wyoming from New Mexico. Nikki is a rick girl. Collin has dated rich girls and doesn’t really enjoy it as much. Collin finds it very bitter. What I didn’t like about this book was both sides have issues.
I would recommend this book to people who like romantic books. This book shows how friends can become closer and end up being in love. I wasn’t a big fan towards this book. I thought more would happen like I expected more good detail. At the end, it was a heart touching book.

I thought that this book was cute. I wouldn't call it "super super amazing" though. I don't think it was all that well-written. I think that the author was very steady with her writing until she had the two main characters kiss. After that, everything sort of slowed down until they kissed again. When you got to the end of the book, Carol Steward just piled on the lovey-dovey type stuff. I would recommend this book if you want an easy read, not something that will leave you going "Best. Book. Ever."

From the moment they meet until the end of the story, Collin and his partner, new journalist Nikki Post, give readers an amusing adventure in their journey to forever.

Definitely a cute read for those who enjoy light-hearted romances without all the sex.

This was a good heart felt story. I would class this as a Hallmark movie if it would be one. A read anyone can enjoy. In this book God is in it, so if one does not believe then they might want to pass, But I say hey whatcha got to lose. Its a good read.
