This is a game changer in your walk with Christ! I can go through this study over and over again, and getting some thing new out of it. It's perfect for new believers, and for seasoned believers. It's works great as a devotional, but even better for a group study.
My favorite quotes: "The truest thing about God is what He says about Himself. The truest thing about you is what God says about you."

An incredible book that challenged my understanding of what being a true Christian was.

This book helped me to understand my relationship with God in a deeper and more personal way.

I also had the extreme privilege of being mentored in a summer program called Discipleship Focus (dFocus), run by Will and Betty Wyatt. This book was the focus of the summer. A life-changing summer.

I've gone through the study 4 times now and each time, God brings something new to my attention in each chapter, as if I'm reading it for the first time.

Spending prayerful, reflective time in this study changed my walk with God.

2025 comments: I’ve read this more times than I can keep up with, possibly over a dozen times or more. It continues to be the book that has had the greatest impact on my life, and the Lord’s Holy Spirit continues to convict, encourage, challenge, and be my Peace every time. My life is forever changed and transformed by the Truth of His Word. To God be the Glory! And, thanks Will and Betty, my spiritual grandparents in the faith.
If you are in need of a “basics of Christianity” book, I encourage anyone, Christian (new and longtime) or non-Christian to take up a copy and see for yourself the beauty of life in Christ and all that He has done to make a way, to be the Way, for us.
If you want to have a better understanding of any of the following, this is the book for you: your significance to God the Creator, the fall (or leap) of man (our depravity and what that means), His rescue and salvation of our souls, what it means to abide, present, and delight in Him, how to pray, how to know if your faith is growing.
Invite others to read it with you. Many questions are introspective at times and causes you to go deep and grow close with those who read along with you.
