An ancient ritual awakens dormant powers – and a tangled mystery.
Birdie, Morgana, and Odette are the three resident witches of Moonfell, the magical Gothic mansion that lies at the edge of Richmond Park in London. They are responsible for maintaining the centuries old magic that is woven deep in the roots of the estate.
When Morgana's son and his cousin join them to celebrate Ostara, the three witches decide to honour the lore of the house and introduce them to the bees in the orchard.
However, the ritual triggers a chain of unexpected events, destroying the balance of power at Moonfell, and plunging the estate into chaos. Morgana’s son is at the heart of it. The arrival of spring unleashes latent magic, and confused and overwhelmed he turns to the journals of a long dead witch.
But the changes are even more catastrophic that they first realise. Birdie’s familiar vanishes, and frantic with worry she turns to their friends, the Storm Moon Shifters, to help find him.
It seems the labyrinthine passages of Moonfell hide secrets that even the witches didn't know.
If you love witches, magic, a mix of present and past, all set within a glorious Gothic mansion and a mysterious garden, you will love the Moonfell Witches series.

I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
The Moonfell Witches, (Birdie, the High Priestess, Morgana and Odette her daughters,) have appeared in previous books of T J Green but this is the first book of a brand new series, totally concentrating on them; their Magic, their lives and their adventures.
Honey Gold & Wild cleverly transports the reader between two different time-frames, 1664 and the present, thus bringing the intertwining of two separate events which become dangerously interlaced with each other.
The book begins with the three witches looking forward to welcoming Morgana’s Son and his Italian cousin, Como, whose plan is to stay at Moonfell to experience and to learn of its Magic. The boys arrive around the “Ostara” celebrations, in time to join the witches in their ritual to the Bees of Moonfell, which would mean them both being introduced to the Bees of the Orchard; but the ritual stirs up other things…. Strange happenings begin and Odette seeing visions, which at first she didn’t understand. Eventually it became clear that the visions were of Eliza, Ansel her son and Jacinta her daughter. In the visions, Odette began to realise that her ancestors had been in trouble 400 years earlier; the kind of trouble which appeared to be on the door step of the Moonfell witches now.
When Birdie’s familiar, Hades (a black cat) mysteriously vanished and despite trying, Birdie couldn’t find him anywhere. Was this a coincidence or had it something to do what was metaphorically knocking at their door. Birdie realised they couldn’t find Hades but that the Storm Moon Shifters would probably be able to find him in their Wolf form.
And so the Magic begins..........
I really enjoyed this book and it has certainly proved that creating a series solely for the Moonfell Witches will be a success.
I love the Moonfell witches so eagerly waited for the first full length book about them and their gothic mansion, and this book was really worth the wait, as it not only introduces us to today's witches but those of the 1600's too. This book was what I wished for and more. We get to see Birdie, and her granddaughters Morgana and Odette eagerly awaiting the arrival of Lam and Como, who intended to spend the holidays there to learn more about their powers, with full intent of joining their coven. We also get to meet up once again with the London Shifter Clan who once again get roped in to help out when trouble strikes Moonfell. It seems that as the witches carry out a bonding ritual with the bees who resided on the property, they trigger off the same ritual which had been carried out in 1664 by Eliza Wildblood and her brother Ansel whilst searching for Jacinta their younger sister. All hell is let loose at the end of the ritual during both periods of time, and Hades, Birdie's familar disappears, to her utter chagrin. Turns out they have to eliminate for good an elemental spirit who was haunting their lives and causing havoc in their garden. Took them a while to realise what was happening, and the tie to the past took some unravelling, a few mishaps which could have ended very badly, but in the end the support of their friends and their powerful magic saw them through this threat too. I love the magic, spells and lore, the way we got to see two sides of the story, giving us more than we ever expected, and most importantly I loved the connection to the bee colony guarding Moonfell. I eagerly look forward to more about Birdie, Morgana and Odette.

A twisting tale almost as Gothic as the arches of their beloved Moonfell, Triple Moon: Honey Gold and Wild feels darker than books in TJ's other series, but no less exhilarating. Centring around a ritual performed to introduce their newest residents to the bees who have lived in the orchard for centuries, that triggers more than expected, this story seamlessly interweaves past and present. Nightmare, visions, new magics and a missing familiar all point back to a dark time in Moonfell's past that was never fully resolved. Can the current witches of Moonfell with the help of their friends, the Storm Moon shifters, finally lay to rest the evil that had lain dormant all these years?
TJ's writing style is hypnotic. You are drawn completely into the world she has created, with strong, fully rounded characters and a plot as cunning as the folk it portrays and you never really know how it will end. This first full book in the Moonfell Witches series is thrilling. Dark, but with moments of laugh out loud humour, a potential romance or two and overall, a genuine hope that good will conquer evil in the end. A book to read again and again.
I love the Moonfell Witches and am so excited that they now have their own series!
As new young blood is joining the coven, with Morgana’s son and his cousin Como moving into Moonfell, a ritual is performed that sets off all kinds mysterious events. The book moves between past and present, as a danger battled long ago proves to have far reaching consequences.
Birdie’s familiar, Hades, is missing, so the Storm Moon shifters come to Moonfell to aid with the search. They find themselves drawn into helping the coven solve mysteries from the past. Bonds are strengthened, new magic discovered and more is learned about the family’s ancestors.
There is plenty of magic and mystery, history and lore, friendship, family ties, potential romance and so much more. I’m looking forward to learning more about the Moonfell witches, both past and present, as this series continues and hope to see much more of the Storm Moon shifters alongside them. Every book written by this fantastic author is touched with magic…in more ways than one!
I'm running out of words to describe how much talent this author has. I've recently finished this book and was overwhelmed by her writing skills yet again. I've read all of the White Haven books and was looking forward to this new series about the Moonfell Witches and was not disappointed. The story line going back and forward between the centuries doesn't detract from the wonderful history that is unfolding.
The spell that begins the trouble is brilliant, the bees and Hades story just made me not want to put the book down - I only had to have a cataract operation whilst trying to finish it (very inconvenient!) but as soon as I could I picked it up again.
Learning more about the history of Moonfell, it's bees and Hades was great fun as well as a little awe inspiring and we also learn more about the next generation of witches as well as including the wolves getting to know them - very funny.
I don't want to give too much away but this really was wonderful and I can't wait for the next one!
This is TJ Green at her best. It's wonderful to know that I will be able to return to Moonfell in the future as this is the first book in a new series. This story alternates between timeframes and is told through different points of view, through which I was skilfully lead by TJ Green, and I was held spellbound by the myriad twists and turns. It isn't always an easy story to read, especially when considering what happens to Jacinta and I found myself holding my breath on occasion. Although the malevolent presence dominates the story, the peaceful aura of the bees always give hope, as I learned that they are an ancient and positive presence at Moonfell. Birdie's familiar, Hades, connects the two timeframes, even in his absence, and who would not be interested in the Storm Moon Shifters? Whether it is interest in the Wildbloods' friendship with Nell Gwyn; the burgeoning romance between Morgana and Monroe or Lam and Como's developing magical skills, TJ Green writes convincingly. Her knowledge of the paranormal, witches, magic and all things pagan is a delight.
Triple Moon: Honey Gold and Wild – First book in new series “Moonfell Witches” by TJ Green and what a start … there are Witches, Shifters, Familiars, Shakespearean names and quotes, and the Bee Lore as well as time jumps between the past and present. I love all of TJ Green’s books, but this one is very special. It shows the true talent and imagination as well as knowledge of magic, history, traditions and rituals from this amazing author. Ther are few really good cliffhangers when the action jumps between times as well as the usual humour and banter between the main characters. This is definitely a must if you like the paranormal witchy books with a good dose of mystery, magic and on this occasion: the bee lore.
You might benefit from reading “The First Yule” a short Christmas Novella when TJ fully introduce the Moonfell Witches and their magical Gothic mansion that lies at the edge of Richmond Park in London.
Great start to the series. The Moonfell witches, Birdie, Morgan and Odette are joined by Lamoral, Birdie's great-grandson, and Giacomo, called Como, her great-nephew, at Moonfell during their break from their university studies. Birdie preforms a bee ritual and the adventure starts immediately with the disappearance of Birdie's familiar, the cat Hades. An earth elemental takes over the garden, a poppet appears at the foot of Como's bed, all manner of strange things happen. The Storm Moon pack is involved and the story switches back and forth between now and Moonfell in the 1640's when Jacinta Wildwood goes missing. All in all this is a story you can get very involved in. I look forward to more stories about the Moonfell witches.
As ever T.J. Green has written a fantastic series in Moonfell Witches, having read the first I have now bought the second and will no doubt buy the rest. Such an exciting story, thoroughly enjoyed the duality of the time difference of living in their Gothic Mansion on the edge of Richmond Park. The storyline including an Elemental accidentally raised by the youngest Witch 500 years in the past affecting the present day witches has completely captured me and I couldnt put it down. From a timetraveling very old familiar to how they battle the Elemental made it compelling reading and very exciting. I so enjoyed the interaction of the present day witches Birdie, Morfgana and Odette and of course The Bees with the past witches Eliza Wildblood and youngers sister Jacinta. I thoroughly recommend this series.
A new group of stories from TJ Green. Although Moonfell has been mentioned in other series of books, this is the first novel to start a series of their own. Wonderfully descriptive of Wiccan ways, obviously a great deal of research has been carried out! If you enjoy reading about witches and witch lore you will love these novels. This is not a cozy novel, but the story is about the Moonfell house and its owners previous and present, taking you from 1600s to present day, leaving you breathless on occasions! If you enjoyed the White Haven witches books and Hunters books you will love this new set of stories!
This is yet another one of T J Green's wonderful works. All based around the home of a family of witches, but in two different time zones. The link between the two times binds it all together. Eliza is the High Priestess in the 1600's, along with her brother Ansel, her sister Jacinta and their gardener/handyman Jem. Whilst in the present day Birdie is High Priestess, with Morgana and Odette. Morgana's son and nephew visit Moonfell and are introduced to the bees in a welcoming ceremony and the ceremony triggers an old spell, that has to be understood before it can be cleared. I couldn't put it down.
Just finished Moonfell Witches Triple Moon! IT BLEW MY MIND! TJ! Fantastic! Brilliant! Bewitching! Learning about The Moonfell Witches, has been enlightening. So we find out more about Eliza Wildblood and her brother, sister and The Bees, and how life was in their time. Also how an evil entity traverses time when a spell cast by the present day Moonfell Witches somehow reacts with a spell cast by Eliza and her family in their time. Add in the new young male witches, Como and Lamorak, who are moving in to learn their craft, and the Storm Moon shifters, it’s a whirlwind of a journey, that left me craving book 2!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the first book in a new series and is off to a pretty good start. I enjoyed learning more about the Moonfell Witches based in Wimbledon, and I enjoyed the book for the most part. I became irritated by the constant flipping back and forth chapter by chapter. I would have preferred parts dedicated to the Restoration period and to the present day. As always, the writing is lovely although why these English people would refer to their mother using the American "Mom" I have no idea, just a small irritation. It was nice to have the Storm Moon shifters playing a part. Looking forward to seeing these relationships develop
OMG I loved this first book in the new series. Magic, adventure, the author weaves their spell and draws you into this incredible world. Birdie, Morgana, and Odette are the three resident witches of Moonfell, the magical Gothic mansion that lies at the edge of Richmond Park in London and strange things start happening which turn everything upside down. These characters are incredible, this storyline gripping and exciting, it’s a little dark, a whole lot of addictive and I loved learning about these witches, past and present as we go between timeframes. It’s a fantastic read and I look forward to more from this series.
I am a huge fan of TJ Green, but for some reason it took me a little bit longer to get into this book. I am not a fan of stories that switch between past and present. But when I got into the story, I found that I couldn’t put it down. Probably because its so well written. I loved the new characters that we were introduced too in this book, and the thrilling mystery that was slowly revealed in the both the past and present. I found the way the bees were woven into the story fascinating, and I loved the shifter being part of the story. I am looking forward to more books on the Moonfell Witches.
I’ve just finished “Triple Moon” as an ARC reader for TJ, I’m so privileged to get an early copy.
The storyline is divided into two sections, hundreds of years apart. Moonfell in Richmond Park, London. The grounds of Moonfell, usually beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming, have an intruder. It takes the combined forces of witches, shapeshifters, Hades and two young men new to this life, to banish it. Helped by a very unusual Shade. This can only end badly. Or not!
I love TJ’s storytelling, I’m hooked from the first chapter every time and this ‘first’ in a new series is another winner. The first instalment from the moonfell witches was a Christmas novella which introduced Birdie, Morgana and Odette as a small family coven. In Triple Moon the ranks are growing with more family members moving in to the manor and an exciting story unfolds bringing present and past together in true TJ style. I can’t wait to read more from the moonfell witches and will read this one again very soon.
This book is great. The alteration between different centuries was really great. I was hooked after a few pages. As always in her books, the characters are lovable. Being a witch and druid myself I could relate to most of the characters. I really admire her knowledge of pagan concepts. Not many authors of fantasy are that knowledgeable. The story is really exciting and I could not put this book down. I have read all of her books and every time I thought, that this was the best book up to now. But every new book is even better. This one is a masterpiece. It has surpassed all my expectations.
Triple Moon: Honey Gold and Wild (Moonfell Witches Book 1)
I pre ordered this book, waited impatiently for it and was NOT disappointed. A fantastic story that goes on from the previous Moonfell Witches novella. Looking forward, (hopefully), to many more books about the Moonfell Witches. I highly, highly recommend this author and also urge readers to sample The White Haven Witches book series, as there are crossovers and a fantastic series too. I promise, that is easy to become firm favourites.
Triple Moon by TJ Green. An absolute fabulous read. It moves between the past and present giving you some info into the former occupants and the horrors they had to endure and what is dormant. The present Moonfell witches are awesome as usual each with their own individual magic. The shifters are also involved again along with Birdies Grandsons. This is really absorbing read and didn’t want it to end. So looking forward to the next book. Well done TJ x
Wow! Wow! Wow! I was privileged to get an advance copy of this book and I was not disappointed, nor could I put it down! I love TJ's books and this one is the best so far. The witches of Moonfell are wonderful and I loved the way the past is intertwined with the present. You learn more about familiars in this book too as well as witchlore so it's fantastic. If you love exciting, intriguing and gripping mysteries you'll love this, so pleased give it a read, you won't be disappointed.
This sees the start of another TJ spin off featuring the Moonfell coven. So we are familiar with many of the characters. The storm moon pack also make an appearance. Like the introductory novella, this story moves between the present day and 1664 where the witches ancestors battle an elemental, which manages to cross over to the present day. Great and easy to read, with plenty action to keep that page turning.
This first complete novel in the Moonfell Witches series solidifies the setting of the manor and the family that makes up the coven. The were introduced in other TJ Green series and a special novella set at Yule. The women and young men that are the family members living at Moonfell call upon their friends- a pack of wolf shifters to assist their magic as they search for a beloved familiar and try to save the spirit of a possessed ancestor. A fun adventure.
I have read this book and giving my honest review. The book is awesome my favourite witches and wolf’s. What a story, gripping, creepy you cannot put it down as you want to know what is coming next. Secret rooms not saying any more. You will have to read this for yourself. You will enjoy as much as I did. What will happen next .
This is an intense tale between two times, the 1600's v 2000's The Moonfell witches through time, Birdie makes a new moon blessing with the bees in their garden. Time and rituals are muddled but will she find Hades and help fix the garden's ancient curse? This will keep you reading through the night until the end. TJ has woven her magic yet again.
I love the Moonfell witches! We met them in another of TJ’s series and even had a quick Christmas adventure but this was the first full length release of these lovely ladies. I really like the way it switches between now and then allowing you to connect the dots while trying to solve the mystery that pulls the two timelines together. I can’t wait until the next release!
Magical Adventure! A very unpredictable, interesting story that combines events from the past and present. The wonderful characters old and new bring this story to life. Interaction with the local wolf shifters only adds to this magical tale. If that is not enough add a mansion and gardens with powers all their own. Looking forward to more adventures in this magical world.
Fascinating story! The thought process behind a story like this leaves me in awe. I love the characters and the setting and how characters from this author's other series have been invited in. The story is rich and well fleshed making the scenario totally believable in a supernatural way. This book held me captive for the 3 days it took me to read it. Brilliant story and I completely loved it!
Another great book written in the same enjoyable style as all of TJ Green's books with some of the already well established characters in the other series, so the reader already has a background of the depths of the players in this gripping story of magic and mahem. This book will keep you turning page's and dreaming you were there, so sit back and enjoy.
