Truth Of Chains is book 1 of a dark mafia romance and Andra’s debut novel.
Being a dark mafia romance some scenes and topics may be sensitive to some so be sure to check the TW/CW before diving in.
It follows the story of Ava under the control of the Bratva to work in a coffee shop, she meets Roman who is part of the mafia, from the moment he sees her he becomes obsessed.
I love a good mafia romance. Andra did a great job with plot and characters. The plot was really well written and thought out with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged and turning the pages and the characters were enjoyable.
Overall great debut and look forward to seeing more from this author, I recommend this to dark mafia romance lovers out there

I arc read this on a whim I came across Andra's tictok and signed up in the 11th hour, So let me say this my expectations probably weren't as high as they are now because let's be honest mafia romance 😉 , but DAMN this book blew my mind in the best ways, The character development in this book was chef's kiss, The plot had so many unexpected twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my chair the whole last 100 pages. For this to be a debut book I am so impressed and also the spice was SPICY 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS 🖤🐇

This book is exquisite! The writing is like dining at a five-star restaurant 🤌🏻. First off Roman…yes. A million times yes! And Ava, girl even I want to sink my teeth into her!
This book is dark and deep. With Alice In Wonderland inspired theme we get to watch these characters unfold and take us on an adventure we won’t soon forget. That plot twist? Oh it’s twisting. The spice, will make your toes curl and your skin tingle!
I cannot wait to read more for this amazing debut author!!

Ummm this was very disappointing. There was so many kinks the author tried to portray but they were just horribly written. The entire book was poorly written. There was no fulfilled plot. We got revenge without any real reason or backstory to said revenge. We had an FMC who all of a sudden was gathering evidence with no lead or knowledge of what, why and end game. I didn't get the Alice in wonderland theme. I didn't even know the FMC was supposed to be a bigger girl. The lack ofl descriptive writing failed this book. I kept questioning everything and asking "what" the entire time. The only good thing about this book is the discussion we had in my bookclub.

August 28, 2024Honestly, this was a disappointing read. The book didn’t hold my attention, and it didn’t make sense that the FMC suddenly wants revenge after years under the H’s brother’s control, with no build-up or backstory.

I’ll forever be searching for my Roman now, shew 🥵
If you love a spicy mafia romance, but also want something with a good plot, Truth of Chains is for you! You can tell Andra poured her heart & soul into writing her debut novel. Many different emotions will accompany this book. You’ll be excited, sitting on the edge of your seat one chapter, then be huffing “ugghhh” a couple chapters later. Don’t worry though, it ends beautifully even though Andra leaves you wanting more!
I don’t want to give too much away. Everyone who reads this book will find their own personal connection to it, but my favorite line in the book is: “The pain of this life is painstakingly unrealistic for something so sweet and beautiful, to survive. I know she may not be honey and sunshine all the time, but I know trauma wounds when I see them, but she has given herself the power to be delicate, something most of us could never dream of.” 🥹♥️ I loved Ava & Roman so much. I wasn’t ready for this book to end! I can’t wait to see what Andra does next!

This is a dark and twisted mafia romance. I had a good storyline, great villain and it does go over the background. If you like porn you’ll like this book. I think it was a little too much on the spice for my taste. It seems like it was in every chapter.
Other than that, it was a wonderful book of course every mafia stories has to have death torture, and like, this had it. don’t take my words for it go read it for yourself.

‘ Forever could be just a second. ‘
I read this with a cuppa… the perfect way to relax. The beginning. Right from the beginning, it had me reeling for more.
I won’t say too much, I don’t want to spoil it. You’ll have to read it to find out.
I just want to firstly mention how the plot was beautifully exhausted. Each aspect of this story felt fitting, the smut never felt overwhelming and every chapter was incredibly gripping.
This is a dark mafia romance. Do not take that lightly, it will not be a read fit for everyone.
Roman and Ava, I can’t begin to explain their story enough. It’s dark, twisty and damn right delicious.
Ava, adore her. Hated so much for her. She's a gem.
Roman, love him. Could lick him from head to toe… possessive, dark and grey.
It had me on edge. I just wanted a HEA… I wasn’t expecting everything to unfold the way it did. For so much to happen in one book … twists I honestly was not expecting, had me gasping out loud.
Characters I didn’t mind, I then hated. Things happen in this book that will shock you. I … a moment in this book I wasn’t expecting. Just like many, I just, this one, yeah it blew me away.
The ending. I will admit, I lost faith for a second and started PANICKING. Not because it wasn’t good but I felt like the ending was too near… Not to worry. It was incredible.
You know a book is good when you can believe you have finished it … where did that time go. I want more of Roman and Ava.
Highly recommend. Although, maybe read it alone or just maybe, with your partner … you might even need BOB on standby.
Finally id like to take this moment to thank my faithful chair for sitting with me on this. You did your duty well. Thank you for accepting the situation … I think I crossed my legs one too many times.

I really wanted to give the plot a 5 but there were a few times I found myself wondering how we got here. The odd time they were having Spicy time when it seemed a bit out of place. But the bdsm was spectacular, the after care was *chefs kiss*. As a DEBUT novel I'm so in love. I cannot wait to read Andras next book.
Writing quality& nonrepetitive 4/5
Writing quality was absolutely top notch. Which was especially surprising considering this again is a DEBUT. Like wow. Round of applause. It was a touch repetitive with the "side thoughts" but I mean it was still to a point of realistic. And it was also a touch repetitive in the entirety of the plot. It was a bit wordy at times but never was annoyingly wordy.

I am Romans #1 fan. He is hot, spicy, dark and twisty in all the right ways. Ava is my homie, love her, love her spirit and her entirety. Alexei is my favorite of the "buddies" by far. All of the characters had great description and development. You really get to know them you feel like you're one of them.
Ending 5/5
Holy #&$@ my life. I am literally so fucking pumped. The last like 60 pages had me GOING. Loved every second of it.
Backstory/world building 5/5
Back story was great it wasn't too wordy with giving you an idea as what brought you to the point where the book begins. Also gives more to the backstory as the book progresses. It doesn't overload or overwhelm you with information off the bat and I absolutely love that. World building was amazing except at the end I felt like there was a point or two that lacked that oomf it had the rest of the book

I finally got to read Andra’s debut and it didn’t disappoint. ROMAN SUPREMACY- anywho I love Roman and Ava, my baby’s for real. At first it was slow but is it worth it? Yes ma’am. Andra I can’t wait for more of your work as a whole and can’t wait to hear more on Roman and Ava bc of that cliffhanger 🤭- I do recommend reading trigger warnings first and happy reading! 🫶🏼

To say I want a Roman for Christmas, is an understatement. The way he protects her yet tears down her walls. The way she grows and learns to rip his world apart.. I can't say enough about this book. The way they both desire the same thing, yet differently, is amazing to watch as the story unfolds.
For this to be a debut novel, I would never have guessed, if I hadn't known. The world building, the character development and story lines, the way she creates a world that is so VERY real, was intoxicating. I can NOT recommend this enough!!

We first meet Roman, who seems to be trying to take down the mafia, then we meet Ava, who's family has a sorted past with the mafia and she's currently working off a debt at one of their cafes. Not wanting to be under thumb, Ava comes up with a plan of attack to get out from underneath them, but can she do that while also falling in love with someone she never thought she would..
This book was spicy 🥵🔥 Roman and Ava can't seem to keep their hands off each other. The plot was good, and the ending left you wanting more! I definitely need to know what's going to happen next!

This is the debut novel by Andra Sable. Having said that , it does not read like a debut...AT ALL. This story follows Ana and Roman. It is a dark mafia romance and I say this because you will need to check your triggers and read the content warnings. There are some very dark elements and adult themes in this book.
WOW.....What a fabulous debut from Author Andra Sable. Yes, this book is dark and twisty and when I say twisty...I mean it. There were parts of this book that had me gasping and twists I did not see coming at all. I went in blind and am so glad that I did. It was fun discovering the characters and all they had to give. Roman and Ana are written so well and their development over the course of the book was perfectly written. Their love grew through the story and I loved reading how their relationship developed. Was it crazy? YES. Did I enjoy all the psychotic behavior? ALSO yes..... And Roman can be a bit unhinged but I like my book boyfriend like that. Bravo Andra for a fabulous debut. The cover is an extra bonus for me and oh so pretty. If you love mafia romance that is dark and will surprise you, I recommend this one wholeheartedly.

This was a great little Mafia romance a quick easy read with a good plot and spice that I finished in 4 hours!!
Our FMC Ava is owned by the Bratva after her assassin parents stole and then were murdered by them, leaving her to pay back her debt with the earnings from her coffee shop.
After an encounter with Stepan and Roman in her coffee shop. Ava decides she wants to take her life back from Bratva and will do whatever she needs to get information to topple their Empire. Just one problem. Roman also wants to take down his father and brother and run the Bratva properly, and he also wants Ava.
Lots of twists and turns, bloodshed and torture as Roman sets about his plan to play the Bratva off against the Italian mob and take Ava with him. Throw in a serial killer, a stalker and undercover FBI agents, and we have a showdown ending and a new couple (hint hint) and a great setup for book 2

Let's start from this: I am a fan of mafia's themed dark romances *but* as an Italian woman, I find it slightly irritating to see errors (easily corrected or checked) or too many clichés :')
This one is about the Bratva (russian mob) and dear me, I've got a new obsession 🤤
I wanted to just drool all over Roman and hug Ava even though...I mean...that woman... she's wayyyyyy stronger than she thinks 🔥
And Nikolai, Sergei and Alexei got me laughing like a fucking maniac, I love those three and I wish I had such loyal, trusted, loving friends.
Everything just fit perfectly and damn the TWISTS and the SPICE *chef's kiss*
How Roman was both the perfect manhandling man and the sweetest golden retriever, practically reading her mind 🖤
I think I highlighted most of the book because it's THAT good and I'm pretty impressed actually.
I want someone to say to me "She is achingly beautiful in this horrible reality"
I'm in love. Go read this book. You'll love it.

I absolutely enjoyed this book and devoured it in a day! The story was really good.
Ava was the daughter of some pretty terrible people that were only out for themselves (before they were unalived for it). Unfortunately even in death, they are ruining everyrhing for her. She has to pay off their debt to the Volokhov Bratva. She has decided to take them down from the inside. Though she never expected Roman.
The moment Roman saw her, he knew she was his. His muse. His Cottontail. His Little Rabbit. He makes it his mission to not only take down the brava, but to possess and protect her.
I absolutely loved her coming to realize that Roman wasn't who she thought. And the way he *breaks* her (Ummm spanking with books?! Yes please haha) is exactly what she didn't know she needed.

Finishing this book left me speechless. This was a debut??? It was AMAZING! The writing is so lyrical and haunting, it drew me in from page one. I have thought about these characters every day since I started reading and they’ve lived rent free in my mind. I absolutely love the dynamic between Ava and Roman and loved following along their journey. Ava learning how to love herself and learning who she really is was one of my favorite parts. But ROMAN!?!😮💨 That man is everything to me and I will take no slander! The calling cards her left for her, HIS MARK BEING INSPIRED BY AVA??? PLEASE. Everything about this book was so good, so enthralling and so entertaining. My jaw was on the floor for the last 80% and I still haven’t picked it back up.

If you are looking for a dark romance mafia with an MMC who definitely gives off morally grey vibes and is so OBSESSED with the FMC, this book is definitely worth it and for you!
The takes place where the FMC, Ava is fallen under orders and control of the Bratva to work at coffee shop. She meets our MMC, Roman who is part of the Mafia and from the moment he sees her, all he can think about is Ava.
The storyline between Ava and Roman was well-written and I enjoyed reading this book a lot. Definitely has some Alice in Wonderland vibes which I really enjoyed while reading their story.
I highly recommend pick this one up if you are looking for a good dark romance mafia read! I also recommend reading the trigger warning as well.

I cannot sing Andra's praises enough. A debut novel and an absolute homerun! Roman and Ava had angst, hate, desire, lust and so much need for each other.
This book makes you feel fully engulfed in their world and will have you begging for more. It is dark and twisty from both Ava and Roman. The plot was so well-rounded and beautifully written. I think I felt every emotion possible while reading this and I already want to go back and restart it. The plot twist had me gasping and the ending had me wanting to fist-pump the sky. However, please check the triggers!
I know you've heard me say it over and over, but amazing job Andra!!
So come Sweet Rabbits and fall into the rabbit hole, the clock is ticking.

My only question about this book is HOW is Andra Sable a debut author? What the heck. The writing and descriptions in this book are beautiful. The darkness is dark, so check your trigger warnings before entering this dark Mafia romance.
Roman ... I didn't know how I felt about him at first, but he quickly turned me onto his "good side." Ava, I felt so many things for her - she's gone through far too much and has had way too many poor interactions with men.
This book had me turning pages faster than I thought it would! Delighted to be an ARC reader and to have discovered Andra Sable on Instagram. I want more of this world and would absolutely love to see a Sarah x Nikolai book.

This book sends you down a rabbit hole (no pun intended as this is a Alice in Wonderland inspired) and I'm here for it.
The book follows the story of Ava and her involvement with the Bratva but you wouldn't imagine where the plot twists land. Ava is a strong lead that can hold her own, she is definitely not a damsel in distress but does walk that fine line of letting a man take care of her. Roman is just... I have no words, I want him all to myself..

This is a wonderful debut mafia romance book. I loved the way Andra described some of the scenes and inner thoughts of the character's. The plot kept me hooked and the slow burn romance build up between Ava and Roman is chef's kiss. I loved what Roman stood for. He grew up in the mafia but never failed to notice the corruption, especially from his own family. Ava has had a traumatic past with her own family that were working for the mafia. They make the perfect couple and the spice is absolute perfection. I cannot wait to read more from the author.

This book was so captivating without making you wonder or worry for too long what was going to happen next. Havung you on the edge of your seat without needing a break from the angst being just a tad too much. It was such a good story, so reassuring of Roman's character. His obsession had me ready for more at every turn. The Alice and wonderland vibes, the Bratva psychopath with not a hint of hesitation to protect and claim what's his, the absolute adoration and fire he showed Ava. SWOON 😍❤️

The plot was good. I wish there was more to it though. Spice was ok. It wasn't off the wall like I would have expected from Roman though. I loved the twist with Ava herself when she decided to handle Stepan. I do agree with Sergey Stepan was an idiot and would believe anything because his ego is huge. I would have loved more background on Sarah. I also would have liked more to Shawn. I felt like he was more of a filler rather than an actual character.

Truth of chains is a good book and the first book I've read by Andra Sable. Ava is the nice and kind girl that works at your local coffee shop. But what you don't know is she has a past because of her parents and the local shop is owned by the bravta. Things change for Ava when she decides not to be the push over and more.
