A family wedding is the last way Hannah wants to spend a rare weekend off. Especially with her parents constantly asking when she’s going to settle down and give them grandkids.
Why can’t they understand that her career as a doctor is all she can think about right now?
At her cousin Oscar’s wedding, she’s desperate to shut them up – and so grabs the nearest handsome man and kisses him, hoping he’ll be willing to pretend to be her date for the day.
What she doesn’t know is that he’s the bride’s brother – and that he’s just as fed up of his parents match-making as she is.
Pretending to be together becomes an easy way to silence their parents whenever they travel down to family events in Devon – until an ex comes back into the picture, and jealousy surprisingly rears its ugly head.
Will both families figure out the ruse – or can a fake relationship, across hundreds of miles, turn into something more?
Rebecca Paulinyi was born in the South West of England in February 1992. She has been writing since she was a child, starting with short stories and poems that rarely got finished. Her weekly school assignment of writing a diary about the weekend provided a perfect platform to be inventive, with Rebecca's stories revolving around the aliens living on Planet Odd.
Writing has been her passion for years, and the unfinished stories became full length novels as she became a teenager. At eighteen she left home to go to York University, studying English Language and Linguistics, and following her graduation qualified as a teacher. Alongside writing two stand alone novels and a series, Rebecca teaches in a primary school in Bristol, where she lives with her husband and dog.

I loved returning to Devon in this series, this story was just perfect with the fake romance to keep families to stop asking questions about why they are still single and not in a relationship. So a bargain was made that they pretended they were together and would go together to family celebrations. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.
Entertaining storyline - Hannah gets a fake boyfriend to get her family off her back and the mystery man is just as aggravated with his family as Hannah is with hers. Lots of craziness, family interference and a crazy ex. Good storyline, great characters, lots of twisty feelings. This was a good quick read, feel-good story. I will probably go back and read some of the others in this series.
Absolutely loved Anthony and Hannah's story. The fake relationship that they concocted to get their parents to back of from trying to get them to marry somebody and have grandbabies. It's funny, it's witty and romantic. Just the way I like it.
Absolutely loving this series. Enjoyed meeting all the family members again and the fake dating between the MCs. Straight on to book 4 for me. Lovely setting. Can’t wait to visit Hope Cove for real.
