Evolution And God

Rate this book
Charles Darwin's Origin Of Species was the most important book of the 19th century. It explained the origin of species by the Theory Of Evolution, but Evolution's impact on Religious belief is more profoundly important than its biological achievement. The implication of Evolution is, that the human race's origin took place by a process that is blind, purposeless and Godless, and it has profoundly diminished man's view of himself, and his place in the cosmos. Eliminating God has negated the authority of Religion's moral teachings. Feodor Dostoevsky wrote, "If there is no God, then everything is permitted." The 20th century has experienced two world wars, with unprecedented civilian atrocities, and atomic world war three may well be coming, with the end of all. This book presents evidence that Evolution is guided and directed by natural laws. To be directed requires a director; I dare to call the cosmic director by its ancient, time honored name, God. Then Evolution is (possibly) a process guided and directed by God. The possibilities are explored that conscious intelligence may turn out to be an Evolution dead end, and that continuing human Evolution by colonizing other Earth type worlds would be much easier than commonly believed. If the possibility that Evolution is a guided and directed process interests you, then you will enjoy reading this book.
