The Law of Attraction by Nancy Naigle
Contemporary closed door romance.
Whitney Winters, her brother, and sister-in-law, Carina, all work at their family law firm specializing in divorce. Trying for humor, a comment is made about former clients that have fallen in love subsequent to their divorce, thanks to their law firm. Unfortunately that rumor goes viral and partners of the law firm are not happy. Whitney and Carina do damage control while juggling changes, pressures and love in their own personal lives.
Whitney bumps into a local artist doing a mural near her office and it’s only after a second meeting that she realizes who he is. Life keeps throwing them together. They take the hint.

Charming and lovely. It’s a feel good romance just like those sweet holiday movies. An afternoon escape into happy.

Whitney Winters and her brother, William, along with her sister-in-law, Carina, all work at their father’s law firm. When two of their clients both going through divorce find love, they post a video that goes viral. This sends the law firm to national attention. But this is not the attention they want. How will the firm handle it?

There is a muralist working down the street from the law firm. Whitney’s parents bought his artwork for their law office. When Whitney loses her bracelet and he finds it. This brings them together. Will this unlikely pair find love? This book will have you turn the pages to find out!

I love Nancy Naigle’s books! They are well written and entertaining! Not only is there a fun romance with entertaining characters, but there is a heartfelt part of the story that focuses on family and friendships! A perfect book for your pool or beach bag!

Whitney Winters, her brother, William and her sister-in-law Carina are all lawyers working in a thriving family law firm. A story goes viral on national news and social media outlets, that their former clients are falling in love after their respective divorces. Is it the publicity the prestigious law firm wants as their client list becomes mountainous? Whitney and Carina are enjoying the fame, for a little while at least. Carina’s marriage begins to suffer from the long hours spent at the office. Whitney finds love and falls for Matthew McMahon, a local artist whose paintings decorate the walls of the law firm. They are complete opposites so how could it possibly work? Will Whitney get her happily-ever-after or will she continue to be married to her career?

The Law of Attraction written by Nancy Naigle was the perfect heart-warming, feel good story that I needed. This amazing story was had me laughing out loud while flying through the pages. I couldn’t put this one down because I was on the edge of my seat wondering how it would end. I loved the characters from, Carina to Whitney, Matthew and even the partners in the firm. Naigle writes such amazing stories, that have a wonderful flow to them. She keeps the reader engaged from cover to cover. If you are looking for a lovely story with swoony characters and feel good romance, this is the book you need to read!! Do not wait another minute to dive into this phenomenal book. I loved everything about this fabulous summer read and I highly recommend it.

My Opinion

I hate to admit it as I have seen some great reviews but Nancy Naigle was a new author to me. I am sure I will be hunting out some more books by Nancy in the future as this was such a lovely read.

An entertaining read with some great characters. This is going to make for a great holiday read - it was written in such a lovely way that it was so easy to escape from reality. I read over 200 pages in one sitting as it was just so difficult to put down.

Nancy Naigle’s The Law of Attraction is a sweet love story between a divorce attorney and an artist.

Whitney Winters, a lawyer, works with her brother, William, and sister-in-law, Carina, at their father’s law firm. The law firm is thrown into national attention when two of their clients going through a divorce fall in love and post a video that goes viral. This is not the kind of attention the law firm wants. Can Whitney and Carina come up with a solution to keep their jobs?

Whitney meets Matthew, an artist, after he returns a bracelet she lost after he finds it. Though not looking for love and complete opposites, Whitney begins to fall for Matthew.

I really love Nancy Naigle’s books. If you love small town romance you will enjoy this book. The Law of Attraction has believable and likeable characters and also focuses on family and friendships.

Blown Out of Proportion -- October Wrap Up || 10 Books!

2.75 stars~

This was perfectly fine and honestly, probably the perfect book for some readers. For me, this was low fat vanilla ice cream. Gave me the taste of cute romance, but wasn’t really satisfying like the real thing.

Honestly, I’m not even really sure if I’d label this as romance, because while that aspect of the plot did play a front facing role, it didn’t actually feel like the driving aspect of the story. Though, I’m not really sure what would be considered the driving force, because mostly, it feels like we’re just watching Whitney’s life play out. A slice of life sort of story, but I just had a hard time getting engaged. I think the characters are likable enough to keep your interest, but I wasn’t really swooning or falling for anyone. The biggest conflict felt so blown out of proportion that I really was scratching my head, wondering what about their firm getting free, positive publicity was so bad?

I’ll give Naigle this, the story is super easy to read. I blast through most of this in a single day, reads like a Hallmark movie. Whitney works with her family and I enjoyed seeing her close friendship with her sister-in-law that works alongside her. It was also entertaining to see the lines blur with her mother and brother, between colleagues and family members.

Matthew, the handsome artist that sweeps Whitney off her feet, was charming and sweet. Staying true to the Hallmark feel, he really seemed like the perfect man to fall for. This was totally clean and much more focused on being sweet and romantic, with a few kisses toward the end. Honestly I did feel his perspective was unnecessary by the end of the book.

This is definitely a turn your brain off and enjoy sort of read, but… that mood makes me crave a raunchy comedy.

I would like to thank Harpeth Road Press and Nancy Naigle for the E ARC of this book.
We meet Whitney and her sister in law Carina, they run the family section of the law firm. They love their jobs and are good at them. However, when one of their clients (a famous author) makes a video about the fact that she met her current love at the law firm whilst Whitney was helping her with her divorce things take a turn. They are now having to find a way to stop people turning up at the firm for a look see. They think they are handling things well and have it all under control, but do they? Add to this Whitney possibly starting a new relationship with a local artist, can she find the time to date or will work consume her?
I really enjoyed this book, the characters were well written with a believable plot line. I really enjoyed the friendship and support that Whitney, Carina and their friend Olivia have, they are there for each other at all times. It was also nice to see Whitney’s dates with Matthew, to see how caring they both were of each other. It is just the beginning of their romance and they are taking things slowly which was so nice to read.
There was also the message that whilst some people put things on social media for fun it can have consequences for others. I think it was a good message to have as our lives are so full of social media.
I hope that Nancy will write a sequel as I would like to know what happens next.

The Law of Attraction by Nancy Naigle is an absolutely delightful, uplifting, refreshing story.
Such a good read! This book had me hooked from the first line, I finished it in a day because I just couldn’t put it down. It is one of those books that is just a feel-good story and perfect for those days where that’s what you need.

Whitney was such a fantastic character. Intelligent, talented, and kind.
Matthew, I really enjoyed his personality.
They are well developed, have layers of depth to them, are creative, have an instant connection, are likable, are relatable, and the supporting characters are well done, as well, really contributes to the story.

The author’s writing style is engaging, invoking, captivating, emotional, and brilliant. The description of the scenes of the characters is so amazingly done that you felt like you were right there with the characters, envisioning what they are going through. The plot is well built, and this has a fantastic ending. I highly recommend picking up this story of family, love, and hope.

This is an easy five-start read for me. I loved this heart-warming story and look forward to more from this author.

If you like Hallmark movies you are going to love Nancy Naigle’s Law of Attraction. Whitney Winters is dealing with a potential crisis at her law firm when she meets artist Matthew. Their meet cute, while fun, does not immediately lead to a relationship. When they meet for a second and third time sparks do begin to fly. Whitney is a great FMC, successful, take charge and doesn’t need a partner to save her. That doesn’t mean she refuses support when offered. Matthew is a nearly perfect book boyfriend. He is supportive and plans the best dates to for them. I recommend this book for anyone who likes sweet, very low-angst, and very low-heat romance.

I listened to the audiobook. Narrator Emma Love does a great job with the accents of the character. The story takes place in Richmond, Virginia and voice actors’ southern accents are often over the top. Hers are spot on.

The title says it all...An absolutely perfect, feel good summer read. I couldn't agree more! From page 1 I was hooked on this page turning story. I didn't doubt I would be because I adore Ms. Naigle's stories. She never disappoints. Whitney and Matthew, oh my, how I loved those two. Knowing you are in a job that just doesn't bring you joy, I related to Whitney is many ways. I had been there at one time. And knowing you can have a career and love at the same time, many struggle with that and this story shows us that if we put our minds and hearts into it, we can overcome any obstacle and be truly happy.

This was kind of a fun read! I haven't read this author before. Two sisters-in-law work for the family law firm specializing in divorces but when two divorcees end up getting married and a video goes viral unbeknownst to the lawyers involved, what will the partners think and how will they handle it? Hint - not well!!! They are old school and not happy! Meanwhile, lawyer Whitney meets artist Matthew in such a cute way and even though they are opposites, maybe they are meant to be! I will never look at a mural on a building without thinking of Matthew again!
A cute summertime read!

"The Law of Attraction" by Nancy Naigle was such a fun read. I enjoyed reading about Whitney and Matthew. Whitney works at her families law firm. Matthew is an artist and paints a lot of big murals. He first sees her when she is walking in the rain and is instantly drawn to her. Whitney works a lot and doesn't get out much. If you want a book that keeps you wanting more, then this is the book for you. Nancy sure does know how to write a good story.

A sweet romance set in Richmond VA - these characters captured me from Chapter One & I couldn’t put the book down. Nancy Naigle always writes so vividly that the characters become people I’d want to be friends with! Whitney was almost impaled by an umbrella during a heavy downpour on a city street. Matthew grabbed it just before it hit her. You need to read the rest…

If you read that this is in Virginia's capital city, don't be fooled. It still has the small town feel and charm. I loved the descriptions of the buildings that helped me feel like I was there. Paintings, horses, social media, old stuffy lawyers, divorces, prenups, building murals, falling in love of course, and so much more. Great story line and romance!
