I came across this one on Kindle Unlimited and was intrigued by the description, and I’m glad I gave it a chance. Layla FireStar immediately stood out as a compelling lead, balancing a very normal day job as an insurance rep with a secret life as a ghost reaper was a fun and original contrast. The supernatural elements blended nicely with her personal journey as she slowly uncovers who she really is and where she comes from.

What really pulled me in was the emotional side of the story. Layla’s connections with Theodosius, Alister, and Silas are layered with love, longing, and difficult choices. The story doesn’t shy away from passion, but it also explores freedom, loss, and the cost of loving deeply. There’s a strong sense of found family and healing beneath all the paranormal action. If you enjoy mature paranormal romance with ghosts, shifters, emotional stakes, and plenty of heat, this is definitely worth checking out on Kindle Unlimited.

I really enjoyed this storyline and the characters. It was a very fast-paced book, sometimes a little too fast, I think. I'd like to see more character enrichment. My biggest problem was the grammatical errors as well as punctuation issues, misspelled words, using the wrong words. I'd love to see this book proofread and re-published. I think it will make a great start to the series but I had to give a 3 due to all the errors in the book. I'm hoping the second book is proofread much better than this one because I really like the storyline and could see it continuing into several books.

I’ve had the pleasure of reading this book, and let me tell you wow! The way Layla Firestar the main character finds her way through life and truth is inspiring. She’s a ghost hunter but she’s so much more than that. She finds out old family secrets that can either tear her life apart or make her stronger. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys supernatural stories. I’ve just gotten the second book and look forward to reviewing that as well.

Ghost Reapers is interesting to say the least. Layla's character is well rounded. I love her attitude. This book is fast paced and really quite spicy. I'm really curious as to where book 2 will take Luxor.
