The year is 1999. Martin, Laura, and their two children are moving into the home of their dreams. Once owned by a famous archaeologist, the brick home has sat unoccupied for thirty four years, full of antique furniture, beautiful stained glass windows, and even a secret library in the spire! But once the family moves in, they will find something else was left behind. Something much, much darker.
A quick little story that packs a punch! It’s clear Theyson knows their mythology & I really enjoyed how it was woven into this story. The time jumping was done well and clearly & I could vividly imagine each scene. I wished there was a little more intense action right at the end, but it didn’t take anything away from the story itself! Definitely a perfect read to get you in the mood for spooky season!
Thank you so much to the author for sending me over an ARC! Coming September 25th!
This is exactly what I want from a short horror story. Creepy, straight to the point, interesting storyline and an ending that’s going to keep you up at night 👻 Would definitely recommend this read, especially around spooky season!
Their forever home turned out to be more than what they bargained for... INK had me hooked from beginning to end! I loved all of the incredible, eerie details & I can't wait to read more from the author. If you love horror/thriller stories , then this is totally for you!
Well that was exciting and refreshing and gave me the chills. I loveeee the then and now chapters and how well it all came together at the end. Goosebumps 😬 This was such a spooky, quick read. Highly recommend!
This quick horror story picks up immediately and delivers such a tense and ominous setting that consistently delivers through to the end! I loved the author’s excellent use of mythology and time jumping, and I was absolutely captivated by this story from start to finish.
Super short read but so creepy! And in a good way. I love when authors get mythology right and do something original with it. Had me like 👀 the whole time
Hello creeeepy. This is a quick novella that is the second book in series Campfire Killers. I absolutely LOVED The Campground Killer. And let me tell you T.P. Theyson does it again! You will not be disappointed! This is creepy. It's the tale of Martin. Him and his wife Laura have moved into this house, their dream house with their two children. This dream home is harboring something that no one expects..something so sinister and terrifying. A creature in the dark. Finding himself in the hidden library Martin finds himself in a predicament. A book the previous owner has left. Detailing what lurks in the shadows. The creature has one request Martin must write the story of Meláni (ink) which is tethered to the basement. Or this beast will slaughter his family. What will Martin do? Will he get the story done in time? This has got it all the creep factor, the blood, the Gods, a spooky as hell old house! What more could you want. This is an easy quick read that will want you wanting MORE. I devoured it in a day.
A truly excellent short horror/thriller story. I was gripped immediately and remained that way throughout. The time jump chapters were really effective, in that they each told their own story of their own time, but also explained parts of the other. The story itself was pretty creepy but not so much so that I couldn’t read it when alone, which is the perfect level of creepy for me! It was original and imaginative, with references to and roots in Greek mythology, which the author clearly has a good knowledge of/interest in, or has at least done some solid research. An excellent, chilling little read!
Loved the eerie details in this creepy/mysterious novella! SO GOOD 🤌🏻 INK follows Martin, his wife, and their 2 children who have just found their forever dream home. Forever is a dream, and this house is a nightmare. Once settled, the hidden stairwells call to Martin to finish what the previous owner started. 3 clicks, 3 writers, 3 attempts ... A must-read!
Love this quick read! I was literally in a reading slump, but INK brought me back! Perfect little thriller/horror novella about Martin who buys a beautiful home with his family only to discover something isn’t right. You have to read it for yourself. Don’t want to give off any spoilers. Can’t wait for more from this author.
oh i just loved the tension this story had! i felt myself reading faster and faster to find out what would happen. the time jumps and “click, click, click”s lent themselves so well to the storyline and world building. this was my first Theyson story and will definitely not be the last!
What a fun little ride this was! INK is definitely a spooky, short read that will make your spine tingle from the first page. Can't wait to read more by TP Theyson!
The writing style paints such a vivid picture, the flow of the dual timelines was so smooth, and of course we have the signature audible *gasp* moment at the end! Another great one!
Told myself I was going to bed early and the BAM, have scared myself out of sleeping. LOVED this Novella. Short chapters (which I devoured), mythology, dream house with a sinister creature. I’m here for it!! I loved the atmosphere that was created, and found myself holding my breath until the next chapter. Love a good dual timeline. Couldn’t put it down. Finished it in one sitting.
Tbh not a huge reader, never find many stories that keep me interested the whole way through but this read made me realize I’m a big fan of short stories! I love all things spooky so this seemed up my alley. I love loved it, creepy, suspenseful, and pulled me in, I read it so fast, which is not typical for me. The writing was so descriptive, which I love, made it easy to visualize the scenes…I gotta be able to picture it all! The end got me though, did not expect Laura to come back!

As a lover of mythology and all things creepy, this is a perfect spooky short read for those with similar interests! Really enjoyed the writing and the circular nature of the plot. Parts of it gave me vibes from one of my favorite horror movies/books “The Shining”. Solid story and I’d recommend it to anyone!!
Are you a fan of unhappy endings with some Greek mythology sprinkled on top? Then this is the book for you! As always T.P. Theyson has knocked it out of the park and forever leaves you wanting more in the best way
This novelette is so spooky. The atmosphere is everything and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I may even have nightmares. It comes out in September and will be perfect for spooky season.
Their beautiful forever home that has a twisted history after being vacant for 30 years.Click, click, click..Talk about wanting more! This will leave you with your mouth hanging open ready to know what is next! Theyson, really has a way of sucking you in from the start!
It’s been so long since I’ve read a suspense book—and I loved this! It was a quick read that incorporated one of my favorite subjects (Greek Mythology). And definitely did not expect that ending!
For a short horror story this was fun. The characters were interesting, as was the concept. This is the perfect "goosebumps for adults" book and I can't wait to read more of his work!
