Heya! I'm Joe Satoria, I write sweet and spicy MM romances.

I mostly write Daddies and D/s dynamics in my pairings... some soft and sweet, other dark and dangerous.

As a queer person using he/they pronouns, I am an own voices author, which means you're reading through the eyes of lived experience... only the gay relationships part, definitely not the dangerous Daddies... oops!

Too all over the place to really make me connect to the characters.

I’m actually a bit sad I had to dnf. I was in the mood for something easy and light to balance out the rather anxious feeling I had while reading When Death Frees the Devil (SO good though 😍).

And it had all the ingredients to be perfect: Alexi started working in customer service, a job that’s completely wrong for him, seeing as he’s a people pleaser and wants to be a good boy, getting praised and not ranted at.

On the verge of quitting, he stumbles over Warren (or rather the other way around), and Warren’s daddy-side is immediately attracted to the soft boy.

So yeah. I wouldn’t even have minded the insta attraction here, it’s the kink side that feels messy, and the way how Warren immediately knows after the first night they spend together that Alexi deals with some kind of trauma and needs to be coddled almost continuously. Alexi seems to be a 24/7 soft boy, onesie, teddy bear and all. No idea how he managed to live and work on his own so far 🙄

Details pop out of nowhere, and makes it feel like we’re only getting half of the story, it feels disjointed. On top of that I didn’t like the work aspect: obviously Warren is in some kind of position able to whisk Alexi away from customer service (I didn’t stick around to learn more) and plans on having him around all the time to better cater to his needs. That’s… not ok. You can have that kind of relationship in private, but at work, it feels… wrong. I’m sorry. I know it’s fiction, but this particular detail gave me the ick.

Anyway. I made it slightly over 50%, hence the rating. 2.5 stars rounded down because sloppy writing that ruins an otherwise good idea makes me mad.

I enjoyed this daddy/boy romance. Alexi needed an understanding, comforting and nice daddy and he found it in Warren. Alexi was so skittish in the beginning and Warren was patient and kind. A lovely romance with hurt/comfort and kinky play to keep it a page turner. Loved their romance and the ending was nice too.

Alexi Drake started a new job in a new city and was a lonely little with lots of anxiety. He can't imagine that he will ever feel wanted let alone find himself a Daddy of his own to care for and love him. But will the kindness of a stranger change that? Overworked and under-laid, Warren Raines needs someone special to share his Daddy side with. Armed with a giant stuffed teddy, and a need to please. Will he finally find someone to play with? There's something special about their time together... but do they complete each other?

I found this story a little light on details and the writing a little muddled in places. I'm wondering if that was caused by the addition of new content and whether it didn't mix as well as hoped with the original story. I could understand it but I did find much of the story a little unclear and certainly not very enjoyable. I don't think I could accept any mention of a cream puff without thinking of this story. This was definitely a novella-length story and moved at a pace to match that. This was an MM story with match content.

This is an interesting story about finding what you need when you last expect it. Alexi is a young man having issues at his new job and a chance meeting with Warren changes everything for him. Warren sees the difficulty that Alexi is having and jumps right in to help but how will Alexi deal with Warren’s attention?
I found their story a cute one full of emotions. It was nice to see that Warren understood and helped Alexi when he could. Alexi has a lot of issues and was a bit over the top for me. I enjoy Daddy/boy stories but this one did not pull me in. I really liked the plot but Alexi was a bit too much for me. Even though this couple is not my favorite their story moves at a good pace and is a sweet read. The emotions shine through and it was nice to see the way their relationship takes shape.

This book started off very strong and I was sooo into it all the way until Alexi arrived at Warrens apartment. Warren started throwing signs that made me feel like I was watching a straight man cosplay at being gay. Some of the things he said was cringy and kinda creepy. I pushed though because maybe he was nervous. When the whole daddy/boy conversation happened, it was as if they did a 2 minute scan of a daddy kink Wikipedia page and decided to wing it. Warren was not a daddy. He was a man that liked to be called a daddy. Alexi was definitely a little bit idk how he thought Warren was a daddy. Everything from there devolved from me and I couldn’t even enjoy the rest of that chapter because I was annoyed and confused. The writing style…was a choice I guess. It was all over the place and hard to follow at times. Maybe I wasn’t the target audience

Alexi - Soft and Sweet

‘More than anything, I wanted him to open up, and he wasn’t going to do that here. He was like a wrapped box, and I was slowly peeling back the layers of him, like the ribbon on his wrist. I was peering in at the contents, trying to find out what was going on inside his head.’

When Warren comes across a soft spoken young man, working where he does, his heart decides, then and there, that this boy is meant for him. Alexi is overwhelmed when peopling, and meeting Warren has him confused. He’s one of the bosses at Fizz, but he is only kind to him.

Joe Satoria has written a sweet, steamy love story, where Alexi can be himself and Warren can love taking care of him like a good Daddy should. Oh, and there are kittens and snuggles and stuffed animals galore!

Alexi and Warren story was sweet and endearing with a side of caring that will melt your heart.
They are adorable and I liked how Warren made Alexi get out of his shell and becoming braver.
Past hurts and faulty communication creates a mini crisis that is resolved promptly and they learn to be more open with each other.
I adored the cats, the snuggling and their sweet loving moments as well as how comfortable they become with each other.
It was a sweet story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

This was a cute sweet read. Alexei is working in customer service at an up and coming soda company, but suffers from anxiety when people get mad and yell. Warren works as a marketing executive at the same company and runs into Alexei one day. Warren invited him for coffee and lunch and they hit it off. This started their relationship with how Warren helped Alexei feel comfortable in his skin. Loved how they were with each other and how Warren was happy to get to see Alexei smile. Love the world building, great chemistry and high heat. Cannot wait to read more.

Just ok

The premise was promising but the execution lacked something - although I can't put my finger on what it was. It also seemed the writing style changed about halfway through the story, with the sentences becoming fragments and/or shortened which made them difficult to understand. There was very little kink and the lack of responsibility in relation to the main characters jobs was stressful. Details seemed to pop up out of nowhere only to be forgotten later making it seem disjointed. Overall this was just ok in my opinion.

Not quite sure how I ended up with this book. This sort of age play fetish is something I can almost never stomach. Aside from that, the writing is exhausting, with a lot of very short sentences. It can be really hard to get into a flow when trying to read it and the staccato rhythm can be grating. It also doesn’t help that the main character is in such desperate need for a daddy that they are almost incapable of existing as a human being in the world. I think I’m going to pass on the rest of the series.

Alexi is a Little who's overwhelmed with his job in complaints. Warren rescues him and gets him a new job all the while persuading him to let him be his Daddy. Warren could be controlling but Alexi needed it as he has panic attacks a lot. Alexi is very insecure and not comfortable socially and Warren protects him and makes him feel secure. It was a sweet novella with Warren giving him anything he wanted and both loving each other.

I felt so sorry for Alexi as he became more and more overwhelmed with his job and trying to find his place in a new city. The author does a wonderful job of letting us feel what this young man feels and the relief is palpable when he and Warren meets and Warren gets into full protective mode. As these two learn to open up and be honest with each other, both gain from their relationship. Based on this start I'm really going to enjoy this series.

I have really come to enjoy this author’s books. He can be relied on for steamy books, with a great level of fun and chemistry between the characters. I really like the dynamics between the characters. There is also a sense of authenticity with this authors books, that is sometimes missing in out genre books.
Recommended.
As always heed trigger/content warnings.

2.5 stars. Very quick read. I really wanted to like this one, but I couldn’t get drawn into the story. It was kind of shallow and jumped around quite a bit. I felt like some of the situations or moments in the book could’ve been done differently.

Definitely not a 'Daddy' book except he calls him Daddy. That's literally it. Also 'cream puff?' 🤢🤢🤢 please no. And that whole situation with Benny was so unnecessary. Literally nothing happens at all and it still made little to no sense.

Siento que los personajes dependían demasiado el uno del otro, y literalmente no tuvieron ningún problema en todo el libro.
