Stabbed and left for dead in an alley by a rival gang, he wakes up in a box estate – a towering slum made from reinforced cardboard. Nick is nursed back to health by pragmatic Alice, who conspires with him to hide the attack from his parents. Jaded music writer Tyra travels to Paris to track down the elusive Side Records, setting all three on a path of discovery, peril, and potential destruction.
