Three years ago, I fled from the man I once called the King of my Heart. Forced to abandon everything, I left behind the shattered fragments of a life that was once mine.
Now, I return with a vengeance burning in my veins. A femme fatale ready to make him pay for his sins.
But when the past and present collide, the game changes, and the rules are no longer mine to control.
In this world of crime, power, and twisted desires, I battle the dangerous love that refuses to die.
The stakes are higher than ever, and every move could be my last.
SHANE
Haunted by the demons of my past, I chased her relentlessly. She became my obsession, my drug. A lingering intoxication that refused to fade.
Until she came crashing back into my life, destroying everything I believed to be true—engaged to my brother.
The woman I desire like a madman is now off-limits, and I will stop at nothing to reclaim what's mine.
The game has never been more dangerous before.
She might be my downfall or the reason I rise from the ashes.
Please note that this is the second book in the duet, and it's advisable to read the first installment, Overdosed, beforehand.

It is so incredible to see one of my favourite stories come to life. Shane and Melanie have the most intoxicating love story that is just so hard to put down! I thought the first book was great! The second only got better!! 10/10 will defs be re-reading this series again. I literally can’t wait for Hope and Chris’s story. Amelia has such a way with entwining the most unforeseen plot twists and secret backstories that just add so much value to the narrative. An exceptional writer!!
If you read the episode version of this story, this book is a carbon copy of it. I think the author used the phrase “ chocolate waves” to describe the female main character’s hair way too much. At times it was a bit repetitive. For example the FMC would wear something nice, describes what she looks like, MMC reacts to what she’s wearing. Other than that the writing is good
