Interesting page turner.
Detective Nick had tremendous guilt because he couldn't save his wife and child. But it didn't seem he would be able to save Cass and her child either. I also didn't like how Gideon brutalized Cass with the police right there in the hallway.
In addition, they each had a hard time expressing how they really felt about one another.

Enjoyable
This book easily stole my heart. It's a powerful combination of love and romance that did my heart good. I really enjoyed the characters they are so amazing. I must say the story is fantastic and a excellent addition to a great series. There is only a minor amount of drama but tons of emotions and with a little intrigue which makes this a delightful tale truly. The character development is lovable which makes the characters passionate, sizzling hot and sexy, yes this is a feel good romance and thanks so much for that. Also the story is sweet, heartwarming, entertaining and sometimes sad to read but I enjoyed their journey. I totally recommend you read this magnificent story which I hope is the beginning of a series!!!

LOVED IT
I really enjoyed reading this book,it had everything in it action,suspense and romance with a bit of humor. It was a very enjoyable story which I would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoy al the things I mentioned. Great job Ms. Cole as usual, and thank you.

Delightful story
I'm writing this review just to say I enjoyed the story line. MS Cole did an excellent job with the characters by making Cass sensible. Many times the female is so stubborn and independent to point of being stupid but Cass handled a difficult and frightening situation like a pro, I loved it and Nick was absolutely dreamy. You won't be disappointed if you download this book. Enjoy!!!

I almost didn’t finish this one
Spoiler Alert -So chapter 8 almost made stop reading this book. This was the absolute worst response to finding out someone lost their wife and unborn child. She basically had him apologizing for not being open about HIS loss and grief. Who does that? I’m pushing past it but that whole chapter was idiotic.

A must read!
Wow! This book had the right amount of angst, suspense, love and happily ever after! I loved Cass’s level headed character and Nick’s protectiveness. Even though Gideon was after her and they, her and Nick, were on the run, they fell in love. And even though I would NEVER name a child Marigold, this is their story and a great one at that!

Good read
The storyline was touching and heart warming. The characters details felt real and like a real friendships. My imagination was able to flow like I was one of the characters.

This was an excellent storyline. Nick was selfless in helping her. I'm glad that she decided to let him help her. Still have some questions but the story was beautiful.
