Lily Mathers has just arrived in NYC. She is beyond excited. She had always dreamed, saved, and talked about moving to NYC to pursue the literature world. It just so happened to be a classmate who truth be told, Lily couldn't remember living in NYC in a pretty good area and was willing to rent a space for cheap.
Three of the Boonvilles, know Billy’s mom, but she plays bridge with Lily’s mom, so they put them in touch with one another. Lily will have her own room. There’s a couple in another one. And the third belongs to Billy. There are Maya and Aiden who are a couple. And Billy and Lily are the only two who get their own rooms. While the visitor Jack is a friend to Billy, he sleeps on his floor. Come to find out he is also Lily’s older brother’s best friend from back in Boonville. So many questions. (How did he come to be from both towns and his parents be so who they are and be from Boonville?)
Jack made sure to get Lily out to a party, knowing she was going to feel uncomfortable. I believe he thought he was going to be able to take her around and be the one to introduce her to people to feel important, or it could all lead back to his cave. But, since she was feeling so out of her league, she slinked to a corner to be unnoticed. Here’s the thing Jack had noticed her years ago, and seeing her again has only ignited the fire. So offering to take her home is his way of foreplay.
Jack was going to be a pig to her the next morning, but something about her had changed him profoundly. He knew it, and he tried to do it, but it niggled at him.
"Hey, Lily," I say quietly, the tone in my voice shifting, "we should probably talk about—"
"Save it, Jack." She interrupts, standing abruptly. "There's nothing to discuss. We're adults, we're roommates, end of story."
But he couldn’t get her off his mind. All day she was off and on throughout the day she would pop in. To the point where he was going to stay clear of her. Out of sight, out of mind. Yeah, no. Did not work. For three weeks, he kept it up.
And DO NOT, under any circumstances, fall for her. You hear me? Not this one. She’s too sweet. Too kind. Too naïve. Plus, she’s Max’s little sister. Move on, Jack. Hit the road.
By the start of the fifth week, she had been the only one home, so she needed to face him straight on. Because when he walked in he could tell by her face stark white and so sad that she had something on her mind. She tried to put him off, but no one could do it. She finally blurts, “I’m Pregnant!” It could have hurt his creds when he says:
“And I assume because you’re telling me that…”
“Yes,” is all I say.
"Well say something," I urge, my voice small.
But he still doesn’t respond. Oh shit, did I break him? Did I just break Jack?
“I thought you were on the pill,” he shoots at me. “Aren’t you all on the pill?” “All?” “You girls. Don’t you all take it?” Oh jeez. For a split second, I wonder how many other little Jacks are out there running around if that’s what he thinks. “No, Jack. All us ‘girls’ are not ‘on the pill’. And before you try to blame me again, you’re just as much at fault as I am.”
“You’re right,” he sighs. “That wasn’t fair.” He pauses. “So I guess it will be offensive if I ask – are you sure it’s mine?”
Life is about to change for them both. However, our man Jack is going to find life downright frightening. Yet, he has to become accustomed to someone else being a part of the equation. Can he man up, or will he be the man like all those who talk to her? Telling her he would leave her when it gets to the hardest part and it gets to be too much because he will miss the party life. This a good book seeing the many faces/stages of Jack. He had to learn the hard way what was truly important. Without meaning to “Wildflower” as Jack so likes to call her give him the out to do just that. It was painful for all but in a way they both needed it. That includes Max her brother, too. I wish she learned earlier to say no to his sexfest but when you're when you are prego it's so hard. I get it.

Lily has moved to New York to find a job as a literary agent. She moves in to a three bedroom apartment with five people, one is from her hometown. When Lily is getting settled in she finds out that another guy from her hometown is staying there temporarily and she knows him very well because he is her brother Max’s best friend. Jack has a popular podcast in New York and he is surprised by how much Lily has grown since he last saw her. Lily and Maya one of the roommates are going to chill, eat Chinese food and watch Netflix but Jack has other plans for them. Jack takes everyone to a party where Lily feels like she stands out because of the fancy clothes everyone else is wearing. Lily has a few drinks and then tries to find a hiding spot. Jack finds Lily and they end up going back to the apartment where they have sex. Lily finds out that she is pregnant weeks later and she tells Jack. Jack tells Lily that he will be there for her. Jack and Lily start spending more time together and they get closer. Lily moves in with Jack in his penthouse apartment. They have to tell Max about them dating. Max isn’t happy because he knows how Jack is. They eventually tell Max that they are having a baby. Jack has changed the way he lives. Jack falls in love with Lily and Lily falls in love with Jack. Lily still has thoughts that Jack won’t be there for long. Lily gets a job offer. Jack gets a job offer in LA and he is very excited about it. Lily and Jack get in an argument and she starts to go into labor at six months. Lily decides that she is going to be the one to break up with Jack so she tells him to go to LA. Jack wants to stay but he feels like Lily doesn’t want him anymore so he goes to LA. Both Jack and Lily are miserable. Max has been helping Lily. Will Lily ever get the job she wants as a literary agent? Will Jack go back to New York? Will Max help play a role in their lives? Will Jack and Lily finally stop being stubborn and realize that they are meant to be? Will Jack and Lily find love and happiness in New York?

Baby with my Brother's Bestie is the seventh book I have read by Summer James. While I've loved every book by this author I have previously read this is absolutely my favorite one she has written to date. Summer has a way with words and the stories she weaves together draw me in making it difficult for me to put her books down once I begin reading. Baby with my Brother's Bestie is original, fun, exciting and emotionally poignant with wonderful characters making for a very delightful read. Summer made it impossible not to love Jack, Lily and Max. The dynamic between these three was well developed and a huge part of the reason I felt connected with them throughout the entirety of the book. Their emotions became my emotions and had me smiling, excited, heartbroken, scared, nervous and laughing so hard I cried providing me with a great ab workout, but most importantly a love that unexpectedly blossomed into something ever lasting. I am excited to read the next book that Summer publishes - fingers crossed she doesn't keep her fans waiting too long.

Though there was a sweetness within the read, it was a good read and will suit many readers. For lovers of best friends bros interactions, the simplicity of the read will not offend. Almost a POV from Jack. He came a long way from who he was to what he became. But most of all, he became the Beest Father and partner.

This book surprised me. Lily came to New York to work in publishing. She was rooming with 4 other people in a walkup. Her first night there, she discovered one of the temporary roommates was Jack who was her brother's best friend. He was well known as a player. The whole group went to a party and Lily ended up sleeping with him. She then turned down any new advances from him. Three weeks later, she finds out she is pregnant. He actually took it very well - and started going overboard buying things for the baby that would not be there for 8 more months. The question was - was he going to revert back to his old ways or had this woke him up to being a responsible young man?
When an opportunity comes up, he makes a decision that breaks both of their heart. I have to say the airplane scene with Max (Lily's brother) was hilarious. It was way over the top funny. This book was very entertaining and fun to read. A playboy finds love and grows up to be a husband and father.

I loved Jack and Lily's story. I loved how they re-connected, and I thoroughly enjoyed their banter, and their growth.
Lily moved to NYC to try and get her dream job with a publishing company. She get's a spot in a shared apartment with someone from her home town, and when she first arrives, she finds out that her brother's best friend, Jack, is currently staying there as well while his place is being renovated. She also finds out that Jack is a wild thing! All muscled, and tattooed, with a big bike, and a known player. Even her other flatmates warn her against Jack, but she can't help the attraction and connection she feels with him.
And then she falls pregnant, and we get to watch Jack turn into the best baby daddy! I loved the idea of his motorcycle-mobile. And how he just goes crazy buying all things baby...
A super-sweet story about how you don't have to be perfect to be perfect for somebody, and that you don't have to be perfect to raise a good kid. A really great read!.

He invited everyone to go with him to a party because he’s a celebrity podcasting food.but she and the other roomate didn’t wanted to go but he changed their mind.
When they went there she didn’t like the place because everyone was wearing designer clothes and they were also celebrities and snob people.
So he told her to get off from there,her roomate warned her that she better stay away from him because he is a bad news.but she said one night dont hurt.
they went straight to the apartment and slept together,
They knew that if her brother found out it was going to be trouble.not because he is his friend because everyone knows him that he dont make relations.
This book is amazing its makes you cry its makes you laugh its worth to read.

Lily and Jack grew up in the same town and he was her older brother's best friend. imagine her surprise when she rents a 'shared' apartment in New York City and he is a temporary occupant. He's very wealthy, but down to earth and not obvious. Everyone loves him because of his winning personality. They hook up for one night when they both had too much to drink. He has a playboy reputation so she avoids him until she finds out she is pregnant. He's actually excited about the baby and goes on a big spending spree for the baby. Things go south when he gets a job on the other side of the country. Does she go with him? What about the baby? How does her brother react when he finds out? This was a great book that will keep your attention. No shortage of angst or drama. You'll like how it ends. A HEA you'll like with no cliffhanger and no cheating. Lily is a beautiful young lady who is moving to NY to get a job in publishing. She is staying with friends in a very small apartment and didn’t realize one of her brothers’ friends, the notorious Jack, was staying their part time too. Jack is a love them and leave them type guy, not in it for the long haul. But when a hook up with Lily leads to two lines on a pregnancy stick, he becomes more of a standup guy than he ever has before. Mostly because Lily is someone he just can’t get out of his head or heart. Or want out of his bed (ya the sex was good too). Knowing Jacks past has Lily doubting his commitment over and over again and to a certain degree is unfair to Jack as he has stepped up until she pushes him away again, Lucky for both of them her brother Max steps in to get both of them to figure out they are in love and need to put aside the little doubts and just love each other. This book as a quick 2 day read, I simply could not put it down for very long.

Another great book from author Summer James it was literally a steamy page turner and the suspense was mind blowing. It was addicted and I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Jack is the tattooed Harley riding food blogger and best friend's with Lily's brother Max. This romance was a forbidden love affair and Jack knew that she was off limits. But they couldn’t fight the temptation of sexual intimacy that night will change her life forever with unexpected consequences. The chemistry between them was sensational and romance. This story makes you wanting more from Jack and Lily. What would her brother Max think would they still be friends again? I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. Summer James does it for me every single time.
Baby With My Brother's Bestie was another really good book by her. I loved the comedic approach to the billionaire romance troupe. Lily and Jack had insane chemistry with each other (heyyyy brother's best friend troupe) and after a night of steamy passion, an accidental pregnancy troupe gets thrown into the mix.
Summer wrote an amazing storyline with this read that comes full circle from beginning to end. Lily made me laugh way too much, she went overboard in some senses and really relatable in others. I liked Jack a lot and could understand Lily's concerns when it came to him stepping up and being a responsible adult. Can't wait to read more by Summer!

A fun romance
This is a well written, entertaining story. With a forced proximity romance, humor, drama, surprise pregnancy, great chemistry, twists, romance and love.
Lily moves to NY in the hope of getting her dream job and finds a shared apartment on Criagslist with someone from her school. But when she arrives she finds that Jack, her brother's best friend who's now a podcaster, is also staying there while his place is being renovated. After a night out as a group, Jack and Lily hit it off and leave early to have the apartment to themselves.
When she sees the two pink lines Jack agrees to be with her and be a father, moving her into his penthouse. But while her career is taking off in NY he's given a job offer in LA and has to make a choice about what he wants.

This book is very in depth and lets love take its time getting to our MCs. Jack is a food blogger and Lily is an unemployed book editor. After one steamy night she finds she is pregnant and must tell Jack. He decides he is all in but gets a job offer in LA. Lily breaks up with him so he can try his hand at the new job. There is steam, love, angst along with hilarity and lots of tears. I cried when he left her and when he came back. I laughed so hard when Jack and Max were on the plane and in the airport due to a misunderstanding with a ring. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Summer has written a great book. Her characters are funny and sweet. There's quite a bit of Spice. Jack is Lilly's brother's best friend. Max did not want his little sister in a relationship with Jack because he had a free lifestyle. He wasn't into relationships. But Lilly moved to NY to and Jack winds up as one of her roommates. They were drawn to each other and after a few drinks, and a little fun.. a few weeks later two little pink lines joins them together. Jack plans to step up and does. Miscommunications and well Lilly pushes him towards a job he's wanted, however, he doesn't want it anymore but enter that miscommunication. Max steps in and well read this very entertaining story.

This was a definite page turner with wonderful characters, I just couldn't put it down. They both thought that is was just a one night thing and were both thinking it was going to be nothing more. Wow how wrong they both were with that thinking. The way her brother is just there is wonderful and she is lucky to have him. She thought she was doing the right thing by telling him what she did even if she didn't feel good about it. I would love to see what the future holds for all of them.

This book was sweet and could be irritating at times. I’m trying to be honest. I believe it is for younger readers like in their 20’s early 30’s. What happens when a young girl graduates college and heads to New York? Well this book lets you see and it can be slow at times. But it is a sweet book that is cute if you look past the youngness of it. This may not be my favorite from this author but will read more from her.

This is an off limits steamy romance between Lily and her brother's best friend Jack. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a captivating love story with drama and steam, humor and charm, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters. Entertaining.

Great story!
Jack is a podcaster. He comes from a cold family. Lily is in NY to get a job and has her brother there. She is staying with a friend and finds out that Jack is there while his place is being fixed. She had a crush on Jack, he is her brothers best friend. Jacks loves Lily. He and her have sex resulting in a pregnancy that through them in a loop. This is a very funny, sad, and loving story. Awesome happy ever after story. Jack and Lily's story is a wonderful read. They are so funny I was cracking up most of the book. And the love they share its so heartwarming. This book is swoon worthy. It's a fairly quick read. Definently a page turner. Summer is a wonderful author. I definently will be reading more of her books. I highly recommend this book. Happy reading everyone
