Ana Taylor, ex-pat Kiwi and stand-in leader of the Bartashev Bratva thrives on the chaos in her world. Tough, efficient, and able to roll with the punches, Ana can handle anything thrown at her. Until the threat of deportation looms, leaving her with few options.
Enter August Tombs, the head of Tombs Security and the wild Tombs family. He’s a pro at handling chaos, yet Ana’s reappearance flips his world upside down. Their chance reunion reignites the spark they shared at the DRMC clubhouse, leading to a proposal that’s totally out of character.
Dangers lurk in both their worlds. Can they keep their friends and families safe while turning their fake marriage into something more? Amidst the chaos of a rival MC, a stalker, and a couple of horny swingers; achieving their happily ever after won’t be easy. But with Devil’s Rose MC and Bartashev Bratva on their side, anything’s possible, right?
August - A Tombs Security + Devil’s Rose MC Crossover is a 200+page blend of humor, romance, and a touch of chaos. For 18+ audiences due to spice and violence with a curvy heroine, an alpha male, and a guaranteed HEA. No cheating. Can be read as a standalone, but is recommended to be read after Rhodie - Devil’s Rose MC Book One for full effect.
This is the second book in Cleo Browne's Devil's Rose MC series + Tombs Security. In the prior book Tuesday's brother August was sent to pick up some information from Ana which turned out to be a bit more challenging than he thought. This book picks up shortly after the prior book with Gus and Ana seeing each other again after a couple of months have passed. While meeting to discuss some security arrangements, Ana finds out her work visa is going to be pulled since her boss out of the country for an extended time period, so Gus impulsively offers to marry her.
This book is number two of the series, and while there is an overarching story, there is a resolution to the immediate situation in this book and of course the standard HEA ending since it's a romance novel. It was pretty much instant love/lust which I prefer over a slow-burn and while there was a bit of angst towards the end, there was no actual third act breakup. Gus is morally grey, controlling, and overly protective of those he cares about. Ana is morally grey, smart, and doesn't shy away from danger to protect others.
This is a book I'll read again for sure which puts it at 5/5 and I've already downloaded the next in the series. There was a good mix of plot to spice with open door scenes that were pretty detailed so I'd put it at about 3/5 on my spicy scale.

What I liked- This book gets added to my All Time Favorites list. Today. I love this book. So far, I’m loving all of the books she’s set in this ficton. I love all of the characters were. The Tombs family is absolutely nuts and absolutely delightful. Tuesday remains Tuesday-ish, complete with redecorating her torture cave. And Pops falls in lust and that’s not a mental picture I need. Because he is straight up crazy. Tav is described as having Golden Retriever energy, while the hero is more of a Boxer Dog: “protective of family, but sometimes not the brightest.” Ana is a fun, new addition to this world, running the Bratva single-handedly while insisting that she’s really the secretary. I found this book to be in large part hilarious. It’s not as hardcore as the first book, but it’s still pretty violent. But there is something about Tuesday using torture methods to the background of The Backstreet Boys greatest hit. I plan to beg Santa to send me more books like this to review.
What I didn’t- the next book is not published, so I don’t have it queued up on my Kindle. Man, I loved this book.

Love these books, it’s like I found my tribe. Whacky, honest and totally loveable, the characters that is.
This book features another Tombs family member, August “Gus” Tombs. He’s been the de facto head of the family since his parents were murdered in a home invasion, well there is Pops their grandfather but usually as bad as the rest of the tribe for instigating chaos. The untimely deaths of his parents changed the course of his life and keeping everyone safe became his primary concern. In recent times he’s seen his baby sister fall in love. In a roundabout fashion (see book 1) it led to meeting Ana a woman that he wanted in his life. When she encounters an unexpected complication Gus doesn’t need to think twice about a solution, he’s got the perfect answer. Here’s hoping she’s going to agree.
These books are fan-flippin’-tastic, the narrative flows so easily are the characters are vivid personalities. I’m impressed that on book two it already feels like catching up with old friends. A lighthearted easy read.
I absolutely adored Ana and August! Ana is my hero, she is so strong and fierce but with a soft side. She hides her fears behind all that fire. August was smitten from the first but I think he was hesitant to take anything for himself. He has spent his entire adult life taking care of his siblings and his grandfather, trying to keep them out of trouble. When Ana needs a quick fix as her visa is about to be revoked, August steps in immediately and asks her to marry him. She thinks its temporary, he knows its forever. They both learn how to be a couple, how to lean on each other until Ana's demons make her take a step back. Fortunately, August knows what he wants and he will stop at nothing to get his wife back in his arms where she belongs. There were plenty of laughs, just like the first book by this incredible author and some moments that made my heart melt. Just a wonderful read from start to finish!!
August & Ana meet in his sister Tuesdays book called Rhodie (book 1). Their story starts 2 months later when we learn that August and Ana haven’t spoken since leaving lockdown at the MC Clubhouse. Ana and August have a scheduled meeting regarding the security for the Bratva that Ana is running while her boss is out of the country. During their meeting we find out that Ana’s work visa is going to be terminated because her boss is out of the country and can’t continue to be her sponsor. August opens his mouth and asks Ana to marry him so she can get a spousal visa and stay in the USA. Between visits with a couples therapist, a camping trip gone very wrong and Ana’s mother coming to visit the chaos and banter continues to surround the Tombs family and the DRMC clubhouse. I was giggling constantly at their antics and whitty comebacks. Oh and all the antacids!! There is a beautiful HEA for Gus and Ana but it takes a little bit of a hike to get there!
In Rhodie we could see the chemistry August has with Ana (assistant to the bratva boss), so when she has problems with immigration he comes to the rescue and convinces her to marry him, but he doesn't tell her that he will try to keep her forever.
As in the first book we'll find hilarious moments with the Tombs family especially and the Devils Rose MC.
Now i can say that I'm a fan of Cleo's writing because she can make me laugh in some dark moments. Or just when they go camping, just one of my favorite scenes in the book.

I just found Cleo Browne's books recently. I'm so glad we get to see more of the Devil's Rose MC brothers, the Bratva, and Tombs family. I can't decide who my favorite character is: You've got Chewy, who is delightfully off-center, August and Marx who are alphas trying to hold it all together, Pops who started it all, and a story put together with such joy and love it pulls us all right in. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
I started reading the first book (Rhoadie) because I was recommended it on one of my book pages (probably Cee Bowerman, but I can't be 100% sure). I stayed and went into the second book (this one, August) because of the author herself. She's hilarious.
I laughed throughout this book. The Tombs family is hysterical funny and this author is great at bringing out the funny moments. I enjoyed this book.
I absolutely adore Ana and can’t tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know her more. This book was a bit of a rollercoaster for me but man did I laugh a lot and loudly! The characters in this series are just so amazing and I really look forward to seeing what other shenanigans they get up to. I feel like the more I get to know them; the more in love with them o become!
I loved all the action between the Bratva and MC. You can feel the love between each couple in this story. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! You can read this as a standalone but you’ll be missing a lot from the first couple. Will definitely recommend to readers that like these type of stories!.

Ana is standing in as bratva leader when she faces the threat of deportation. August who runs tombs security, and a blast from Ana's wild past could be the key to her staying, but reignite that Flame could cost them both. Well written steamy second chances, chaos, desires, steamy scenes and more!.

Fantastic read. I absolutely loved Gus and Ana’s story ❤️❤️❤️ Love the Devil’s Rose MC and Tombs Security, there will be a lot of fun reading coming from these two groups. A definite page turner and an entertaining read. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
This story rolls right along on a twisting roller coaster! August "Gus" Tombs owns a security company with his family. Because of family members, the Tombs family is involved with the local MC and Russian mob! Through the Russian Bratva, Gus meets Ana. When her work visa hits a snag and she needs to get married, Gus is right there to help. You really need to read this book to find out what happens. You won't regret it!
The Tombs are a weird and annoying family. Tuesday and Marx are still my favorite characters though even if this book is about August and Ana. The Tombs family drives Marx crazy and he calls on Gus a lot to reign them in. Ana has to learn that she can trust and love Gus. There's an enemy that the he must work together to remove danger.
Great read gus and Ana marry yo save her from deportation but Gus truly loves her but can he get her to love him back and not run from a future they could have because of her past. Great carry on from book 1 Gus blood family and even the mc funny bring us fun humour and action
I've been waiting for this second book from the author and it was worth the wait. I love all these characters, and it was great getting to see them all again. I will be one clicking anything and everything by this fresh new author!!!
I have to go back and reread whole chapters cause I have been laughing so hard. Love every character, all the plots and especially love Pops and now Debs.
I loved this book almost as much as Tuesday’s book! August has so much pressure taking care of his family. He needed Ana. As much as Ana needs August. It was beautiful.
I can't say much more than I love this series. First book was amazing and this book is just as good. The characters are amazing and I can only say Pop's is one of the best.
Gus and Ana... what can I say. These two hit me right in the wooo hooo's. Well written, spicy, intense with sll kinds of action. An MFC that can definitly take care of herself and a MMC that will let her. Lioved it!
Another entertaining read from Cleo Browne! I'm loving these characters! Suspense, spice, humor....what more could you ask for?!?! This is definitely a reading journey worth taking!
So good. Great characters and storyline along with some suspense and action. It keeps your attention from the start. Lots of humor included. So happy to have found this author.
The story of August and Ana is really hot! The characters were well written and so explosive, ( like kimchi and bodies). The characters had you cheering for them and wondering what is going to happen next in the story.
Gus and Ana are thrown into each others orbit. Gus knows right away Ana is the one. Some MC & Bravata drama later....along with crazy antics from the Tombs clan and you have a HEA story. Loved this book!
Ana needs a way to stay in the country since Roman has been traveling in Russia. Gus who has wanted Ana since the moment he saw her gives her a way. But it is just a fake marriage…or is it?
