Australian Bestselling Author, Mel A ROWE creates romantic escapes for today’s busy readers to enjoy from the comfort of their home.
Living in Australia’s final frontier, the Northern Territory, it’s her love of the Outback that fuels her addiction for random road trips, while fumbling with her camera, and singing badly from her many playlists. Mel also has a knack for making friends in the middle of nowhere—except for water buffalos. She’s been chased by a few.
We are back in Elsie Creek and I loved it so much, you cannot go wrong when you pick up one of Mel A Rowe’s books because they will take you on a journey that is witty, moving and just absolutely fabulous with awesome characters who you can easily love and this book had me turning the pages as we get to know Ash and Harper, join them and the Riggs brothers on an awesome adventure.
Ash Riggs has just gone into partnership with his brothers and bought The Elsie Creek Station, things are looking good for this handsome stockman who is happy playing the field with his woman friends nothing two series for Ash, but things just might change when the policeman and nurse arrive with an eighteen month old little boy, Mason who is apparently Ash’s son. He needs a Nanny and fast.
Harper Jamieson is on a mission to get to Elsie Creek, first her car gets a flat tyre now this is something that Harper has never changed after all her life has been spent in high pressure offices around the world, along comes the most handsomest of men and he changes the tyre for her and she zooms away to get to her destination.
A meeting between Ash, Harper and Mason soon sees Harper hired to be a Nanny something that she has also never done but Harper sets rules no romance with the babysitter, soon things are moving along and Harper has met the caretaker Charlie and his granddaughter Bree. Although Harper is finding it hard to get on with Ash’s Brothers Ryder, Dex and Cap she is determined to ensure that Mason is well and safe and to keep her secret.
There is trouble brewing with The Station and the brothers must go on muster, Harper is soon roped into joining them, Harper has hopes that Ash and Mason will bond and Bree who is fast becoming a close friend to Harper has Harper organised for her first muster.
This is an awesome story there is so much happening Harper has arrived in a totally different world to her normal life, she has been through so much lately will she heal and find love or will everything go pear shape when threats are made from neighbours and what if the Riggs’s brothers discover her secret before she gets a chance to tell Ash, will Ash follow his heart?
I loved this one so much there are so many fabulous characters not only Ash, Harper and Mason but Bree is the best and Charlie and Ryder, Dex and Cap all with their different personalities, this is a must read story that I highly recommend it and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
Mel A. Rowe always captivates me with her engaging writing style, well-developed characters, and the seamless flow of her stories. This book, the first in "The Stockmen" series, is set in the small town of Elsie Creek and follows the four Riggs brothers: Ryder, Dex, Cap, and Ash. After acquiring the Elsie Creeks station, the brothers must not only learn the ins and outs of the station but also understand the importance of working together towards a common goal. The focus of this book is Ashton Riggs, the youngest of the Riggs brothers, a free-spirited individual who has been moving between different stations, earning himself a playboy reputation. He is also a gamer and the most tech-savvy among them. Ash unexpectedly learns that he is a single father. Struggling to get a good night's sleep, he seeks the help of a mysterious newcomer, Harper, to become the nanny.
Harper Jamison finds herself stranded in the small rural outback town of Elsie Creek due to car trouble. She feels a bit lost not only on the roads of Australia but also in life. After enduring multiple tragedies, she has returned to Australia and left her current job overseas for a holiday. She couldn't shake the deep-seated loneliness she was experiencing, a feeling only surpassed by the bond she formed when she became the tampery nanny or a toddler named Mason.
Both characters are on a quest for their own happily ever afters in this rugged and romantic outback story. The pages of this book are filled with intricate layers that go beyond simple romance, offering depth and richness to the story.
During the book Ryder, Dex, Cap, Bree, and Charlie emerge as vital figures, each playing a substantial role in the series. Throughout the story, they navigate through a web of secrets, mysteries, historical revelations, deep bonds, familial connections, love, trust, and the formidable pressures that come with owning a cattle station. What surprises and delights will this captivating author have in store for us in the upcoming second book, "The Stockman’s Stowaway"?
Four brothers buy a station in the outback, and they don’t even settle down when Ash, one of them is presented with a toddler who happens to be his son. Harper is in the middle of nowhere when she has a flat tire and Ash helps her. Loneliness, secrets, fear, loss of beloved ones, intrigues, and loyalty are some ingredients in this book. At the beginning, it looked like a normal romance book, but after a while, it showed us that it was much more than that. I absolutely love Mel’s stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a fantastic story and my first by this author. This is the story of the Riggs brothers who are cattlemen in the Northern Territory in australia. They bought the Elsie Creek Station together. Ryder, is the eldest and former military, Cap, was the peacekeeper of the family and was a dog rescuer. Dex, was an illegal underground fighter and a champion who was always scowling and grumpy. Ash, was a gamer but loved mustering and wanted their station to be profitable for them all. Being late for a meeting with his brothers, he came across a lady chasing a tire down the road. She was a city girl, who didn’t have a clue how to change a flat tire. The same day he met Harper, the city girl, was the same day he discovered he was a father and had a son when the Sheriff dropped Mason off at their door. He was clueless what to do with an 18 month old boy. He needed a nanny so the next day he went to town to find a nanny. When he runs into Harper at the grocery store and she looks adoringly at the child, he offers her the job. She has no clue how to be a nanny, but agrees temporarily while she is on holiday. I’m was completely captivated with this descriptive narration of the Australian Northern Territory and of the lives of the men and women who worked the cattle station. There’s humor, some suspense, danger and a beautiful bonding between an unsure father and his son, plus the blossoming of a romance with the nanny. Great story and real life characters that are intriguing.

And Mel has done it again! A story you can't. put. down! You're pulled in to the lives of the characters as you turn each page getting to know them more and more. Long before you reach the end you feel like they're you're life long friends you've known forever. A story you don't want to miss out on.

This is book one in The Stockmen series and it is Ash and Harper’s story and omg what a great start to a new series and definitely a must read. Ash and his brother’s have now bought Elsie Creek Station and are working and planning how to make it all work while being self sufficient and then Ash who is a bit of a playboy had a surprise when he finds out that he has a son Mason who’s mother had died and left custody to Ash and he knew nothing about it and it definitely sent him into shock because he didn’t know anything about children or what to do with them because Ash never did any kind of commitment, relationship or responsibility so now he needed to find a nanny fast to help relieve some of the pressure. Harper had gone through so much and had so many trials in her life because she worked in a male dominated career and always had to prove herself while constantly being on the move but with her work ethics she was always busy and kept herself strong but when her parents and sister were killed in a car accident and then she was injured in a car bomb that killed all her colleagues Harper decided to take a real good look at her life and career so she decided to take a holiday and go to the outback of Australia so that she could decide what to do next in her life but what she wasn’t expecting is to become nanny to the cute and adorable Mason for a while or be attracted to his father Ash so she decides to set up ground rules because she didn’t want to end up as a cliche or get her heart broken in the process especially as Harper has many secrets and if revealed it could cause problems. The more time that Ash and Harper spend together the stronger the attraction and chemistry grows between them and feelings start to develop but when Harper’s secrets are revealed it not only puts a big spanner in the works but also destroys Ash and his brother’s trust in her but along with having trouble with mining rights and water ownership so with all the complications, stress and the cattle station problems things are just making all the problems even bigger so now they are looking for ways to not only make sure that they sort all the things out but also keep the station and then they get the answers to there prayers from someone that they were not expecting. Wow I absolutely loved this book so much with Ash, his brother’s, cute and adorable Mason along with Harper, Bree and Charlie which gives you the best kind of family support ever. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you turning the pages while on the edge of your seat and unable to put this book down because it is so addictive and keeps your attention right from the first page until the last. Mel is an amazing author and writer and describes the outback in such a way that you feel like you are there living through the whole experience in Technicolor and feeling everything yourself. This book is definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Mel Rowe is a master storyteller. With twists and turns, you absolutely don't see coming. We know in all good romance stories that they end up together the way Mel did it this time I didn't see coming. You well get to wander through the top end of Australia. Learn about its beauty and five men that should not be let loose on loveless ladies. My only complaint is that I have to wait till September for the next book.
Once again @melarowe continues to write another fabulous series this one called The Stockmen Series set in the Northern Territory with links to our fav town Elsie Creek. This series centres around the Riggs Brothers who are a bit rough around the edges with a heart of gold, all searching for their happily ever after! The Brother’s all work on Elsie Creek Station purchased by their eldest Brother Ryder. First in the series is Stockman’s Sandstorm which is Ash and Harper’s story - he is a single man who all of a sudden discovers he is a Dad who knows he desperately needs help with his child he has just met and Harper agrees to be his Nanny while she is in town for a few weeks until she returns to the City. This story has it all including a beautifully detailed cattle muster on the property! Mel is able to ignite all senses with her words as you get taken away from your everyday as you read her books. I have been reading Mel’s books for many years and I always love the characters and story lines they are always humble folk and some are the true Aussie larakins. Book two Stockman’s Stowaway is Cap and Mia’s story. Cap is the quiet one in the family preferring his dog’s company over humans and Mia is scared and on the run after being hurt by her ex partner. In both books the Brother’s are dealing with the Neighbour who is trying to take their farm for mining purposes. Book 3 is due Nov which I can’t wait for. Highly recommend any books written by @melarowe as she is such an engaging author. I am so invested in the Riggs Brothers and can’t wait to hear more especially Ryders story. Check out @melarowe page and her books you will love it! #australianruralfiction #stockmen #happilyeverafter #elsiecreek

THE STOCKMAN SERIES: STOCKMAN'S STORM, #1 - Set in the Elsie Creek community, this entertaining, immersing, fun-filled romance comes complete with interesting story lines, family, friends, and danger. Source: The author. 5*
THE ELSIE CREEK SERIES: THE ART OF DUST, #1 - What an entertaining story filled with fun, romance, family, community and adventures. Many lovely characters blended with well written story lines, good dialogues and plenty of ideas with a bit of sneaky, set in the outback of the Northern Territory. I enjoy reading the cannot put down books by this Aussie author. Source: My Kobo library. 5*
DOCTORING DUST, #8 - Couldn't stop laughing nor could I put the book down. It is difficult to write reviews on this author since I want to write book reports. Plenty of action going on with our park ranger, and the doctor, as she protects her park. Good intrigue, good romance, and all the good bits from The ART. This story is extra special for me since characters from The Station, 1&2, and an event from The Sister Trip are part of this. Plus, since missing all the other books of this series, I found out what happened to an elderly character from The ART. Source: BookSprout. 15*
BUFFALO DUST, #9 - This has been such an enjoyable, funny and entertaining series. Although I have not read many of these books, it is great to pick up a book and get lost in the pages and not feel lost or confused about mentions of previous books. This quickly read, fast paced book is filled with so much variety of goid story lines and wonderful characters, and no silly drama. Source: BookSprout. 5* THE ELSIE CREEK SERIES.
THE SISTER TRIP - This is a pick up and put down only when finished book. I enjoyed every page of the relationship between these two messed up sisters with their secrets, their father and all the twists and turns they came across on their trip. Even Susie Homemaker was as tough as her independent big sister when push came to shove. There's drama, humor and love plenty in these pages. I want more from this author. 5*
OASIS OF THE OUTBACK DUOLOGY: THE STATION, Volume One - Aww man, there's more to the story. While not a cliffhanger, the tale isn't finished. Well written with many likeable characters and good story lines, it is easy to get lost in the pages. Forget the cuppa, ya need a large teapot to cut down on interruptions while reading this immersing story. Source: Booksprout. 5*
THE STATION, Vol. Two - The best way to read this well written story full of wonderful characters, and some not, interesting story lines and plenty of fun, adventure and entertainment is to have both books. Even the drama holds the reader's attention without the Stupidity Formula raising its idiotic head. No vulgar language, and the bit of sex was here and there, made this doulogy even better. Hard to put down. Source: Booksprout. 5* OASIS OF THE OUTBACK DUOLOGY.
Welcome to Elsie Creek Station owned by the Rigss brothers Ryder, Dex, Cap and Ash. They are yummy cattlemen, not cowboys! They are each getting their happily ever after while building up the cattle station almost from scratch. At the same time you get the story of what happend to the station in the past and why Charlie and Bree lives on the ground and the mystery that was never solved.
This book is about Ashton Riggs the youngest Riggs brother. He is the free spirit who loves freelancing on the different stations musters, he is a gamer and the technical mind on their own station but he also feels left out and not feeling like he is being heard by his brothers so he keeps in the background and doesn’t contribute a lot to the build up. He suddenly becomes a father to the two year old Mason who lost his mother in an accident. He has a period of 28 days to decide if he wants to keep Mason or not and the first thing he does is get a nanny. Ash talks Harper into becoming Masons nanny even though she doesn’t know anything about taking care of a child. Harper finds herself in a bind after breaking down in her car in the middle of nowhere. She is very high strong at the beginning and seems very mysterious harboring a big secret. She is forced to slow down and ends forming a very special bond with the brothers, Mason, Bree and Charlie and she falls in love with Ash, Mason and the beautiful vibes of the Northern Territory.
I love this story and romance about finding yourself after a tragedy and finding out where you fit in in a family relation that you never expected to fit into or have.
I love the way Mel A Rowe tie her own experiences into her books and you can really feel her soul and knowledge in her writing. She made me feel all the feels and she is definitely becoming on of my favorite writers.
I can definitely recommend this book if you want to read a beautiful story and romance that revolves around a cattle station in the Northern Territory, cattlemen not cowboys, romance in the middle of a sandstorm, stories about big spiders, found family, secrets, mystery, drama, a beautiful little boy, a wonderful hero and an amazing and strong heroine, so basically everything you could want in a book by Mel A Rowe.
I got this book from Mel A Rowe and Booksprout and this is my honest opinion and my voluntary review.

First in an amazing new series by Mel A Rowe, and what a scorcher Stockman's Sandstorm turned out to be!
Four hot and moody brothers, one station, a baby and a nanny: a recipe for sparks in the dust if ever there was one! And boy, were those sparks hot!
Rowe has certainly upped her game on this one. Ash and Harper's story simmers with tension and chemistry, Mason (what a cutie!) a genius addition to the mix, and Harper's secret! Well, Ms Rowe, you had me clutching my pearls on this one.
To put it simply, I am a huge fan of Rowe's novels, and as usual this author delivers pitch perfect penmanship, throwing dynamite at your imagination like a logofile on a mission. This is lush, rich writing, and oh, so fiendishly clever! Add to that a sprinkle of spice and you have the perfect read.
So now we have four sexy guys doing their alpha thing, leaving a trail of smoking hot red dust around the outback! What more could a girl want? Well, actually, the rest of the series, like right now, would be good!
Addictive reading at its finest.

The beginning of a new series is so exciting. Meet the Riggs brothers who own Elsie Creek Station. Ryder, Dex, Cap, and Ash. A fifth brother is the owner of a station to the east of Elsie Creek Station. Elsie Creek Station came with a caretaker, Charlie, and his daughter Bree.
Ash meets Harper as he comes her aid, fixes her flat tire, and gives her directions to the town of Elsie Creek. When his life hits a bump, he runs into Harper and asks her to work for him at the station.
The brothers are trying to make a go of the station, when a new threat appears that could ruin all they are trying to build.
Let's make another visit to the stations and people around the town of Elsie Creek. Everyone on Elsie Creek Station has secrets and needed conversations that never get spoken. There is even a 60 year-old secret to be exposed.

THE STOCKMAN SERIES: STOCKMAN'S STORM, #1 - Set in the Elsie Creek community, this entertaining, immersing, fun-filled romance comes complete with interesting story lines, family, friends, and danger. Source: The author. 5*
STOCKMAN'S STOWAWAY, #2 - This is a rather meaty and interesting story concerning all the plans and dreams the brothers share. Mia is a good addition to the family. As good as all the characters are, Bree stands out in this story with her secrets and her character development; she rocks. An entertaining, clean story with no profanity. Source: The author. 5*
STOCKMAN'S STORMCLOUD, #3 - This funny addition is full of surprises and discoveries, and loyalty. My favorite character is that awesome Redhead. While Leo is despicable, Ryder tried to take that title; yes, bad move he made. Source: The author. 5*
Harper and Ash weren’t the people they portrayed at the beginning of the book, her stuffy and I was surprised she’d agreed to take care of a toddler on a dusty cattle ranch with slovenly bachelors and he a player who tries to shirk his responsibilities including the son he just met. But they both learn on the job and grow closer to Mason. I can’t imagine what she went through that she’d consider going back to her political job with all the trauma and risks. Ash has depths and ideas, he just needs to find the confidence to present them. There were several mysteries and some drama. I like Bree and his brothers, although Dex is annoying and I’m looking forward to reading more about them in future books.
The Riggs brothers have purchased Elsie Creek Station, and things are about to get wild. Ash finds out he's a single father. Harper needs a reboot on her life, and agrees to be the nanny - temporarily. She manages to keep her secret for a bit, but it's revealed to Ash before she has a chance to tell him. And that's not the only secret around. The Riggs brothers are hot and hunky, and all so different in both personality and skill set. I love the tie-in to the author's other series; my introduction to her was The Art of Dust, book one in Elsie Creek. I can't wait for the next brother to fall... This is the first book I have read written by Mel A Rowe; from the beginning I was engrossed.
As always with this genre, there is a brewing romance followed by some heavy scenes.
What I really enjoyed was being introduced to the Australian outback, its life style and the way of life. The author's descriptive skills are best described (no pun intended) as 'wow', from the dust of the station to the valley of greenery.
I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This is a fun and entertaining book that grabs your attention from the beginning and holds onto it to the end. The storyline is interesting and intriguing with the characters facing challenges and barriers as the elements unfold. The characters are well developed and have a magnetic steamy chemistry together when they acknowledge their relationship. I enjoyed this book. Highly recommend!.

Mel tells a tale that has you imagining the outback & the vast land. You get hooked into the narrative as you read. Harper is a character I enjoyed knowing & seeing her grow. Ash mostly made me want to smack him at so many points. Each brother was interesting & Bree the most interesting. A sweet family story. Honest review.
Stockman's Sandstorm is the first book in The Stockmen Series and is a great start to this new series. The characters are well-depicted and the story of the men of Elsie Creek Station is unforgettable. Mystery, drama, secrets, and a sweet romance combine to make this a wonderful read. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I was waiting for so long for Mel Rowe's next series. And this one did not disappoint. Mason was the center of this story that brought Ash and Harper together. These two are an incredible couple. I love the dynamics with the brothers and Harper and the caretakers. I cannot wait for the next book.

I've read several books written by Mel A. Rowe; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the first book in the Stockmen Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Harper & Ash; he is a single father and hires her as his nanny.
