I received this book from Goodreads in return for a review.

Elysium Asunder is an alien invasion story set in the backdrop of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. It follows the journey of an Israeli soldier who is captured and used by one alien species in its fight with another. When injured, he is rescued by yet another species that restores his health and takes him and a Palestinian woman with them as they attend an intergalactic conference to determine what to do about the Earth's future.

The fighting is very fast paced and interesting. I will leave subsequent descriptions of events for future readers to discover, as I don't want to reveal any spoilers. If you're looking for a good science fiction alien invasion with multiple species fighting for and against the Earth, with a touch of "we're all humans, so let's quit fighting amongst ourselves", this would be a good choice.
